Jaipur: Leader of Opposition in Rajasthan Assembly Rajendra
Rathore on Saturday met 2008 Jaipur serial bomb blast victims at their residence to express solidarity with them following the acquittal of all accused in the case.
The blasts had claimed 71 lives and injured 185 others.
BJP in the wake of the acquittal order blamed the Congress government for weak lobbying in the case.
“We have met family members of blast victims. We will make a special package for them if BJP comes to power and will try for their rehabilitation,” Rathore told reporters here.
Asked whether BJP will take up the matter in the Supreme Court, Rathore said the party has made a strategy and talks on it are on.
RAJENDRA RATHORE MAY CONTEST ELECTIONS FROM CIVIL LINES!
Jaipur: Former state president Arun Chaturvedi, while addressing the media at the BJP state office, said that the Congress government has been insensitive towards the Jaipur bomb blast incident.
“It is the duty of the state government that they should appeal. But if we victims appeal to us, then we too will knock on the doors of the Supreme Court and hire top lawyers,” he said.
Rajasthan High Court had on March 29 acquitted four accused who were sentenced to death by a special court in 2019. The high court also pulled up the probe agency for poor investigation.
Jaipur: After Rajendra Rathore was elevated to the post of leader of the opposition, speculations are rife that he may contest the assembly elections from the Civil Lines constituency of Jaipur. Political circles are abuzz with speculations. A faction of the constituency recently met Rathore and suggested he contest the next election from civil lines. Significantly, Rathore lives in the civil lines area. His residence is barely 500 meters from the residence of civil lines MLA and food and civil supplies minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas.
“On April 12, the BJP along with the families of the victims will gather at the Ramlila Maidan to protest against the Congress government for acquitting the blast convicts. A candle march will be taken out up to Hanuman Mandir Sanganeri Gate, the blast site. On behalf of the victims’ family, the work of filing SLP has started in the Supreme Court and soon a petition will be filed.

Jaipur: Ahead of the elections, Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP) convenor and Nagaur MP Hanuman Beniwal has given clear indication that he is eying at least 35 assemblies and 5 lok sabha seats and will go for alliance with any party on the basis of this target.
He has put up a show of political strength from Jaipur to Delhi and made it clear that he will maintain the party and symbol of
‘Bottle’, and his target is 35 assembly and 5 Lok Sabha seats.
A Jat leader Beniwal is considering making farmers’ politics his centre in the state. A considerable Jat bank behind him is likely to disturb equations for Congress. At the same time, BJP is working on a strategy to keep him aligned with the party.
Chaturvedi said that punishing the culprits was not the priority of the state Congress government. BJP State President CP Joshi and Leader of Opposition Rajendra Rathore met the victims’ families and expressed condolences.
Chaturvedi said that even after 12 days, no concrete step has been taken by the Rajasthan government to punish the culprits. He said that the case was not transferred to the NIA. He said that during the fouryear rule of the Congress government, organizations like PFI, which had links with terrorists, organized rallies with the permission of the govt. garding a transaction and the two left. Later, they came with their companions and attacked the hotel with sticks and rods. The miscreants then fled. Police are scanning the CCTV camera footage installed around the crime scene to nab the miscreants.
