Nagpur (ANI): Responding to NCP chief Sharad Pawar’s remarks on the report by US short-seller Hindenburg Research against the Adani Group, the Congress on Saturday said while the senior Opposition leader may hold a divergent view, the issue was grave in nature. The statement comes after Pawar’s explosive claim on the Hindenburg report, saying there are more important issues such as price rise and farmers’ issues that the Opposition should raise instead of giving undue importance to the report by the US short-seller. 21 COPS ACCUSED OF GANG-RAPING 11 AP WOMEN ACQUITTED
Visakhapatnam: As many as 21 policemen accused of gang-raping 11 tribal women 16 years ago at a village in Alluri Sitarama Raju district in Andhra have been acquitted by a Special Court. The Court held the accused were primarily acquitted because of the failure of the investigating officers to conduct a fair and impartial investigation. The women were allegedly gangraped by the cops who belonged to Greyhounds, a special team, in August 2007.
Hyderabad (ANI): PM Narendra Modi on Saturday laid the foundation stone and dedicated to the nation various projects worth over Rs 11,300 crore related to railways, road connectivity and health infrastructure development. The projects include laying the foundation stone of AIIMS Bibinagar, Hyderabad; five National Highway projects and the redevelopment of Secunderabad Railway Station. The Prime Minister also dedicated other development projects related to railways. Days after the Congress slammed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) when Telugu star Sudeep Kichcha confirmed he would campaign for his friends in the BJP but ruled out contesting the May 10 Assembly polls, the BJP asked the grand old party why stars were seen supporting Rahul Gandhi during the Bharat Jodo Yatra earlier in the year.
Addressing a press conference in Bengaluru on Saturday, BJP’s national spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia asked why were actors like Swara Bhaskar, Riya Sen and Rashmi Desai seen supporting him during the Yatra. “If someone supports Congress, then it is for the benefit of democracy. But if someone supports BJP, then it is due to the fear of investigating agencies,” Bhatia said at a press conference on Saturday.
“Congress also said BJP needs people from outside for the campaigning...So I ask Rahul Gandhi, why during the Bharat Jodo yatra people like Swara Bhasker was seen supporting him,” he added.
Congress MP Randeep Surjewala in a veiled attack had said sometimes ED, IT can also persuade film stars to extend support to the ruling party.
Chennai (ANI): Airports Authority of India (AAI) chairman Sanjeev Kumar has described the inauguration of the new integrated terminal building of the Chennai International Airport as a momentous occasion. PM Modi on Saturday was in Chennai to inaugurate the terminal and launch several development projects. According to Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), the Integrated Terminal Building of Chennai Airport has been developed at the cost of Rs 1,260 crore.
Maha CM & ministers to visit Ayodhya today

Chief Minister Eknath Shinde will visit Ayodhya on Sunday along with nearly 3,000 Shiv Sainiks. It will be Shinde’s first visit to Ayodhya as Maharashtra CM. The Shiv Sena has booked almost all the hotels, guest houses and dharamshalas to accommodate the Shiv Sena ministers, party MPs and MLAs. Thousands of Shiv Sainiks are expected to reach Ayodhya. Apart from Shinde’s entourage and Shiv Sainiks from Maharashtra, around 10,000 Shiv Sena activists from Uttar Pradesh will also gather in Ayodhya to welcome Shinde.
