As another season comes close to an end, we are pleased with the current course conditions. The team has been working diligently to wrap up some final practices such as overseeding rough, topdressing programs, fall fertility and a few other applications on the greens to get them ready for any harsh conditions coming our way. Also, as you can see from the couple of pictures below, we’ve gone through all greenside bunkers working the sand, plate tamping and redistributing sand accordingly. I am very proud of all of our associates for working tireless hours on and off the golf course this year!

Lastly, as it relates to the weather, at the time of writing this for the newsletter, we’ve only had one rain event since the beginning of September! It’s been unusually dry and the graph on the right clearly outlines how dry we’ve been the past few months. Currently, year-to-date we are close to two inches below historical averages and nearly 30 inches below 2019! Who knows what’s coming!

Back in October, Sean and I hosted our first “Roundtable Discussion.” Thank you to all who took the time to attend. I enjoyed our time together very much and appreciated the openness of the group as well as the questions, concerns and comments. I felt the meeting was very positive and look forward to doing this on a more regular basis. With the winter months upon us, we’ll hold off on our next gathering since so many members leave the area during the winter.
