About Robert
Early racing carrer Karting After racing in the Romanian National Championship from 2003 to 2009, Robert switched to WSK , the European Championship and the Karting World Cup, racing as an official CRG Karting Team driver. In 2010 Robert switched to the Morsicani Racing Team and took the Vicechampion crown of both the WSK Master Series and the WSK World Series championships.
Formula Abarth Born in 1996, Robert is a professional sportive who races singleseaters in formula competitions. His first experience in a kart was at the age of 4, starting to compete in official races at the age of 7. Aware of his priorities Robert successfully combines education, school and motorsport competitions, attending his physical preparation everyday. He does all this to accomplish his dream of becoming a Formula 1 Champion. On his spare time Robert nurtures his passion for swimming, snowboarding and tennis. After a successful 2011 in Formula Abarth, in 2012 the young Romanian driver attended the GP3 Series, as well as the Italian Formula 3. In 2013 Robert takes part in the GP3 Series, with the Mark Webber Arden team, which is run by Christian Horner - RedBull Racing’s Formula 1 Team Principal. Robert also drives in the AutoGP with Team Ghinzani.
Starting 2011 Robert made the leap towards formula racing, joining the Formula Abarth grid at the age of 15 with Jenzer Motorsport. He managed 2 wins (Misano and Barcelona), a 2nd place at Monza and a 3rd place at Imola. He finished the Italian Formula Abarth season on 6th place, and the European championship on 4th place.

GP3 - Mark Webber Arden
Continuing on the Italian racing line, Robert joined the Ghinzani Motorsport Team for the Italian Formula 3 Championship. He took one win and 3 podiums during the 2012 season, finishing the season on the 9th position in the final standings.

Robert takes part also in 2013 in the GP3 Series, racing the newer and more powerful car with the Mark Webber Arden team, which is run by Christian Horner RedBull Racing’s Formula 1 Team Principal. His goal is to be a constant forerunner, scoring points at all the events.
AutoGP - Team Ghinzani Arco The revamped 2013 Auto GP season gives Robert the chance to race the most powerful car yet. He is one of the fastest drivers of the championship in which he intends to fight for the top positions at every race. The AutoGP cars livery has the colors of the Romanian flag.
Racing with Jenzer Motorsport, Robert managed to score points at the first race of the season, climbing on the podium in the second race at Barcelona. The Romanian driver has also scored points at Monza. Robert ended the season in 14th place overall, with a total of 24 points. Winter testing included sessions with the Art Lotus and MW Arden teams.
Promotion & PR Starting 2012 Robert uses the services of PMRacing, Romania’s most important motorsport PR agency. His website (www.robertivsoiu.com) and facebook page (www.facebook.com/RVisoiu) are the most important communication tools, whilst the media takes a big interest in him as Romania’s most important race driver. Eurosport is the official AutoGP broadcaster in Europe, showing also all the GP3 races. The official F1 broadcaster Digi Sport also shows all GP3 races live in Romania.
