HOUSEPLANT OF THE MONTH: JULY
ALOE
KALANCHOE Magnificent forms, easy to look after and keeps looking good for a long time: these are the characteristics that make Kalanchoe a star amongst the flowering houseplants. An asset for enhancing the interior, but also a popular bedding, balcony or patio plant in spring and summer which can tolerate both sun and shade and blooms endlessly.
Very tough, strong shapes and easy to live with: Aloe (officially known as: Aloe vera) has thick blue-green leaves which reach a length of 40-50 cm and grow up in spikes from a rosette up to a maximum of 100 cm. The leaves are bluish green and have serrated edges. Aloe is an exceptionally resilient plant which stores moisture and nutrients in the leaves in order to get through dry periods. The plant blooms in the summer, and helps keep the air in your home clean.

FLOWER OF THE MONTH FOR JULY SUNFLOWER The head of the sunflower always grows towards the sun and symbolises the human face turning towards the light. The sunflower stands for positivity, happiness, joy, power, loyalty, love for life and admiration. SUNFLOWERS FROM VAN GOGH “For an unexplainable reason, the sunflower belongs to me�, Van Gogh once wrote to his brother. Having a profound love for nature, this flower with its majestic heart and ochre petals has been a great source of inspiration to the master painter. Vincent van Gogh discovered over 125 years ago that sunflowers are more than mere decorations, they embody love and hope. A beautiful series of floral still life paintings are his legacy to the world today.
FLOWER OF THE MONTH FOR AUGUST HYDRANGEA The hydrangea is full of symbolism. It stands for gratitude, grace and beauty. It also radiates abundance thanks to an overflow of pretty, dainty florets that form a lavishing flower dome together. The colours of the hydrangea symbolise love, harmony and peace. What better way to incorporate them in weddings, funerals, birthdays and other special occasions.

Earth & Simplicity Earthy with an edge. Nature’s colours feast this season’s theme but it isn’t the summery greens nor buttercup yellows that call the shots this time. It’s cognac, rustic orange, dark shades of grey and even olive green that tell the tales this fall. The course of nature brings you a rich palette of colours.
