Care
Buy fresh flowers that have been properly treated by the grower. This will give a longer vase life. Select a clean vase and fill it with tap water (room temperature).
Add cut flower food (Chrysal, Floralife, Vaselife) to the water for a longer vase life. Trim 3 to 5 cm diagonally off the stem with a clean and sharp knife or secateurs.
Do not place flowers in a draught, in full sun or near a source of heat.
Regularly top up with tap water.
Do not place the flowers near a fruit bowl. Fruit emits ethylene gas which will cause the flowers to age more rapidly. Avoid touching the delicate interior of the flower the lip in order to prevent it from wilting rapidly.
For floral work: soak florist's foam (oasis) thoroughly and add cut flower food (Chrysal, Floralife, Vaselife) to the water.

Alongside the colour (cultivar) shown, this plant is also available in other flower colours (cultivars).
Some Cymbidium species spread a slightly sweet smell. The Chinese philosopher Confusius described this fragrance as 'the king of fragrances'.

The vase life of this flower is particularly good. (more than 2 weeks)
