NEW PRODUCT STEICOunderfloor LVT: ECOLOGICAL UNDERLAY FOR VINYL AND DESIGN FLOORS SOUND PROOF INSULATION MADE OUT OF NATURAL WOOD FIBRE Modern LVT (Luxury Vinyl Tiles) and design floorings are characterised by solidity, easy installation and a wide range of designs. Products made out of recyclable raw materials find high demand in flooring applications, and the new STEICOunderfloor LVT follows the trend to more sustainability. The insulation boards are made from natural wood fibre and are adaptable to floating installations of LVT and vinyl coverings of the MMFA sub group 2. With an impact sound reduction of 19 dB, the boards provide an excellent acoustic insulation. The special underside surface compensates punctual unevenness. The high compressive strength (>600 kPa) ensures maximum security and protects the flooring. With a thickness of only 2.3mm, STEICOunderfloor LVT is perfectly adapted to new build as well as renovations, where the new flooring can often only have a limited thickness. The underlay is compatible with underfloor heating systems. One pack contains 15 panels of STEICOunderfloor LVT, which is enough to cover 7m2. Thanks to their 790 x 590 mm format, they are easy to handle and quick to install. They can easily be cut with a utility knife. STEICOunderfloor LVT is free from binding agents and contributes to a healthy living environment. STEICO woodfibre insulation boards are ecological and natural products. The wood used in our products is certified by the international organisations FSC and PEFC. It comes from responsible forestry to protect the forest ecosystem for future generations. We use fresh untreated wood from forest residues or by-products from the sawmill industry and transform it in high performance insulation. 1 cubic metre of wood binds up to 1t CO2. In the form of STEICO insulation materials, the CO2 remains removed from the atmosphere over the lifetime of the product. Wood fibre insulation reduces the concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere. Wood fibre insulation also provides security and protection, and it remains stable and durable.
