If your wedding is all about quality time with your guests, you have a lot of planning to do. Getting married in Florida? Chances are you will have plenty of family and friends traveling in for the occasion. From finding the best vendors to entertaining your guests, we have everything you need to make it happen in the pages to follow. Read on and get inspired! pick the perfect spot and set your date Get all details and contracts in writing and make your deposits. If you are planning from out of town and can’t visit the venue, search the web for trusted reviews. Make sure you fully understand what is permitted and what is not. How vendors move in and out the day of the wedding. How much time do they have to set up and breakdown. If it is an outdoor venue, often the sound ordinance is 10pm due to local noise ordinances. Plan your timeline accordingly. hire a planner Hiring a good planner to help with all the local details and vendor referrals is a great idea. Planners are worth their weight in gold! They will take care of everything so you can enjoy your day. the vibe Start thinking about the vibe you are going for. Fun, casual, beachy, sophisticated, rustic, outdoorsy etc. Then incorporate that feeling in everything you do, from save the dates, to the website, attire and tablescapes. spread the word Tell your bridal party what you’re planning. It’s also a good idea to give the rest of your guest list plenty of notice so they can get the best deals on flights and accommodations if they need to travel. save the date Send out save-the-dates at least eight months in advance. create a website Keep your guests informed. Think, portal to all your wedding details. Hotel and venue information, shopping and dining options, gift registry, schedule of events, directions and maps.

While you can see your vendors reviews and check out their images online, it’s really important that you are comfortable with them. They can make or break your wedding. Make sure they are more than capable. If you must hire your vendors unseen, schedule a video chat so you can get a sense of their demeanor and personality before you sign a contract. Your wedding planner can also screen your potential vendors and let you know which are your best choices. Destination Wedding? Bring pros you trust from home to handle critical aspects such as the photography, hair and makeup, and design (lighting, fl wers). Just remember: You’ll have to cover their travel and lodging expenses.

The day was fabulous with bright blue skies and fluffy clouds. The venue was stunning with many beautiful spots to take the perfect photos. The photographer loved shooting this wedding. She reflected “the happy energy from the couple radiated throughout the party and guests.” The gentlemen wore matching navy suits with burgundy ties, while the bridesmaids donned burgundy dresses in varied styles. But the

Bride was the show-stopper, in a fabulous backless ivory gown. After a lovely ceremony, the guests enjoyed signature cocktails and passed hors d’oeuvres provided by Puff N Stuff Catering. Then on to the reception complete with dinner and dancing. Their ballroom reception was transformed by drapery and uplighting to match the drama of the gorgeous chandelier that hung over the dance floor.

Every bride wants their wedding to be extra special and Janae certainly made sure of that. She rode her 17 year old Arabian gelding into the ceremony with her two sisters leading the way to her parents that walked her the rest of the way down the aisle. The Venue at Diamond C Ranch was “breath taking” the bride told us for her Rustic-Fall themed wedding. “It was the perfect outdoor scene for a wedding, our ceremony was under beautiful oak trees, with Spanish moss blowing in the wind, all in front of a gorgeous Florida marsh. It was a perfect fall day, with crisp air, a cool breeze and in the low 70s. The ceremony was held under the oak canopy on the lawn at Plantation Golf & Country Club.
