Hello key-uties, my name is Jenny Nguyen and i will be serving as your one and only president for the respective term; some fun facts about me is that I LOVE taiwanese beef rolls and I can rotate both hands 360 degrees clockwise! My endeavors in Key Club commenced freshman year where I was infamous for my crazy number of miles on charity miles m still first place with 3k+ miles). However, my drive for service exponentially took off when I became a junior as I explored towards involvements on multiple levels of Key Club’s structure which motioned me towards seeking presidency my senior year! I most look forward towards maintaining a great legacy through further propelling our club towards new heights as we reinstate a new flourishing reputation for Florin Key Club and create a lively community full of service for Florin students to freely indulge in with the same open arms that had greeted me those years ago!
Hello my name is Lucas Liu and I will be serving as one of your Vice Presidents for the upcoming term! Some fun facts about me is that my favorite animal is a Shark, I live and breathe tennis, and I love going buzz. I joined Key Club initially because of my friends but as time went on I found myself to be more and more part of this club. The people I have met the places I have been, the experiences I was given made this club very valuable to me. Being Spirit Task Coordinator gave me a sense of responsibility and leadership that I desire to further fulfill in which I decided to run for Vice President and long story short here I am. Things I’m looking forward to this upcoming year is to bring positive impacts to both my club and communities. To maintain the current reputation of Florin Key Club and to expand it. And overall just to have fun with the upcoming year!

One fun fact about me is that I can easily switch my conversation between English and Mandarin when speaking with my Chinese friends. As a two year member serving for Florin Key Club, I had gained social connections with others who shared similar interests and love for Key Club. I decided to become an officer this year because I would like to build my Key Club community to become more convenient to all our members and contribute a positive atmosphere to o e future, I am looking forward to seeing our club commun more members who also enjoy contributing greatness t y around us. As the secretary, I would maintain punctuality organization in order to accomplish the success of our club.

Hello Key Club! My name is Hao Lam and I will be serving as your Bulletin Editor for the 2024-2025 term. Key Club was the first club that I joined in High School and I came in looking to be exposed to more volunteering opportunities in a community that values meaningful service. My favorite memory in Key Club would definitely have to be this year’s FRN. It was my first time going to FRN and I had a lot of fun spending the day with friends and getting to meet Key Clubbers across the region. In my free time I enjoy videography, photography, and listening to music - especially RnB and Pop. After having been a Key Club member for the past three years, it’s exciting to get the opportunity to serve on the Executive Board. I am grateful for the opportunity to publicize all the good things happening within FLKC with my role as Bulletin Editor, and look forward to seeing what’s in store for us this upcoming year!

KIWANIS ANNUAL SHRIMP & TRI-TIP FEED
The East Sac Kiwanis Annual Shrimp Feed was so fun! I learned to be a waitress which gave me experience with working in the food industry. During the event, we worked in the kitchen and made shrimp along with Alfredo and pasta. Then, I became a waiter and served a table along with a partner. Over time we got to decorate and set things up for the night. I had bought a key which was $20 for a chance of winning a $400 prize and split the cost with someone from Circle K but sadly, we lost and did not gain $400 in our pockets. That night we were with other divisions such as Divison 7 North. We interacted and quickly became friends. They were quite hyper but fun to be around. I believe this event was really exciting to be a part of because we got to interact with not only people among our age range but also our elders and it helped most of us learn proper manners and the correct way to serve people.
APRIL 14TH, 2024 APRIL 14TH, 2024
The Concha Sweet Fest was full of music and lots of fun. There were many vendors that sold items like bags, clothing, and arts and crafts. There were also many activities including raffle drawing, silent auction on some pieces of artwork, and kids stations including face painting, canvas painting, and balloon twisting! My job included helping vendors carry stuff in and set up booths. During most of the time I was also working to give out raffle tickets to those that donated items towards the Elk Grove Food Bank! Volunteers worked while enjoying live singing and DJ, and also got to walk around to take a look at all the various items and foods. Most of the volunteer work was spent on helping cleaning up and loading supplies, but it was a nice event to experience the Hispanic culture!
DCON 2024 was such a blast! This was my first year going, and I already want to go again next year! For the first day, we checked into our hotel, and then went to our first general meeting at DCON, filled with information and spirit chants! After that, we got to enjoy a performance by ROCCO! Watching him perform so many good songs was my highlight of the first day at DCON. The next day I got to be a delegate and vote for the new district board! It was such an interesting experience getting to hear the speeches and caucus questions from the people running for a position. Later that night, we got to enjoy the governor's ball. It was like prom but for Key Clubbers, and it was so fun to see all the lively dancing! Then the next day, we had our last general meeting and said goodbye to the old term. It was sad seeing the seniors retire but I’m so excited for the new term to start!
April DCM was truly a precious experience that had went full circle; from the beginning of my first year as a Key Club officer at last year’s April banquet DCM admiring and celebrating the recognized clubs, to ending my term as one of these recognized clubs. April DCM served as a true reminder that the term is officially over and that a new legacy is about to begin. Ultimately, April DCM consisted of food, talent, and a lot of tears.
The SLP takeover was a very successful takeover. My officers and I got the opportunity to bond with our Kiwanians as we shared our experiences at DCON and our plans for upcoming events. I felt like I have gotten much closer to my Kiwanis through these takeovers as I felt very confident while speaking and had a fun time filled with my laughter and jokes. Overall the environment was very comfortable and friendly and I hope that more members would come join us at future takeovers
