If the date dropped in at the end is 1725 maybe why it was assumed to be 18th C, but that would make them well over 100 …..it does not make sense, perhaps all the sixes are sevens? Also the full record of the stones within the church (the ledgers) is needed … Frank has recorded some but they all need doing and put on disc. They need photographing and rubbings made and when a complete list is achieved Kent Archaeological Society will be more than pleased to upload them on their site; pictures and all. A bit about Teddies in Loving Care…

TLC (East Kent) is the local branch of a national charity which provides teddy bears to hospital A&E wards and minor injury units throughout East Kent. Teddies are supplied in bulk and medical staff give them to children admitted to the unit that may be in distress over their injuries or over the treatment they are about to receive. The charity relies entirely on volunteers to fund the purchase of the bears and then distribute them to the emergency units. The volunteers are East Kent Freemasons along with their friends and families. £18,000 each year is required to enable the charity to continue its work.

A Song of Spring by Peter Bailey, March 2017

(Equinox 20th March 2017) Seasons are a cycle, we’ve all been through before, Waiting, after Winter, for the earth to thaw. ‘Drab and dreary ‘changes; to ‘fresh and growing green’. April starts with bursting buds, a total change of scene. Renaissance is happening, from death to life and birth; Warm zephyrs and soft showers renovate the earth. Winter frosts are over, ‘all hail’ the morning dew! The seeds we planted yester year producing sprouts anew. All our birds are nesting, the songs alert their quest; Each short burst and warble demonstrates their zest For life and love and family, Each giving of their best. Spring has come, officially! Our countryside is blessed. Peter Bailey, March 2017
