BLOGGER OF THE MONTH DANEEN SANDS

27

28

Our blogger of the month shares what fashion truly means to her. Fashion to me is my everyday style, it’s in my clothing my accessories, how I do my make up, it’s my creative invention for that day, on how I am feeling and what to express..

She also draws inspiration for her blog pictures from a combination of new items and those already in her inventory to create compelling works of fashion art.

My inspiration comes from the designer, who’s outfit I am blogging at that present point in time.

I

am in awe of the creativity that has been done, I am blown away by their work, to me it’s amazing, I look for what I think is their vision, and try to create that style or that picture, that they can be impress or blown away as I am with their work.. We’re looking forward to seeing more stunning styles from this great blogger!

POWDER PACK

by Jena Adder

You cannot deny the lure and popularity of subscription boxes and myster y packs in recent months. The thought of paying one price for exclusive products that get delivered to your inventor y, and the feeling that you get when you open the boxes to discover some amazing products found nowhere else on the grid makes you feel ver y special. Your heart beats fast and you tr y to contain your excitement as you click, unpack and quickly sift through the contents.

I was delighted when Angels Kristan assigned me the inter view with Powder Pack, a monthly myster y pack consisting of 12 mesh head makeup appliers from favorite brands in Second Life. Powder Pack offers a unique experience that is more about the brands and the customers. Its focus is on the community that inspired the Powder Pack idea. So sit back and relax as you learn a little more about this fun shopping experience.

When did you start Powder Pack and what inspired you to get into the business of myster y packs?

The idea of Powder Pack came to us in the fall of 2016. I had been a longtime lurker in the CATWA HEAD Friends group chat at this point as it is always a great source for tips and tricks, and it made us realize how great the mesh head community is and how perfect the product is for a myster y pack. This was right around the time bento was coming out and CATWA was working on multiple layers which really opens up the possibilities for customization. It all made sense to make this happen—how fun to be surprised, experiment and play with new appliers each month from fantastic skin and makeup creators around the grid.

*A Fashion trend for the upcoming Summer. You can wear a Short for a Shopping trip, at work or in Evening on a date. the only thing is to look how you wear it and combine it! The difference between appearing socially awkward or sharp and confident is often reduced to the fit of your clothing.,Some of this is identifying the right tailor, but a lot of it comes down to you and the fitting room mirror. Picking the right fit is not some innate, instinctual ability, but is learned from paying attention to detail. If you’re dressing to impress, remember some people like preppy clothes and others like streetwear. A. In many cases the audience determines the genre... by their requests lol. I love requests because then I can get a better feel for what people want to hear. But there are some events where venue owners ask for a specific theme, such as mostly classical and broadway, or oldies and I try to stick to that unless I get requests. You also get to know an audience after several shows there. I try to learn new songs I think people will like, or that others have suggested for me to learn as well. Q. What is your most favorite song to sing? is there a specific style you like to sing?...country, alternative, love songs perhaps, ect? A. It’s really hard for me to pick one favorite. But I do love to sing Nessun Dorma because it suits my voice well and lets me belt it out. However probably some of my favorites are my Michael Buble and Robbie Williams tunes. Q. Now that you have stamped your name out there for SL, and become a well known singer, what is your next journey? how do you see yourself going forward? A. Oh I wouldn’t say I’m well known yet at all lol. I need to keep getting out there to new venues, special events such as SLB14 (which I’ll be singing at several times this year) and reach as many as I can so my fan base can grow. My manager (and partner) does a great job promoting me and finding new gigs as well. So it really never ends. Jay just finished a great website too that should help www.djembedragonfire.com Q.What can we expect to see from you as your career goes forward? A. More new music, possibly more trumpet playing (I also play trumpet and flugelhorn) in my shows. Q. Before we close, can I ask you a few of your favorite things to do in SL? A. I love to be creative in SL... I build a lot on our sim, or not really build but decorate I guess. Q. What is your favorite store? A. All of them? HA... no, I love a lot of stores though, What’s Next is nice, and We’re Closed, stores with beautiful textures. Q.What is your favorite past time? A. Exploring SL, and creating I’d say. Q. Do you plan to reach out further in SL as far as places to sing? A. Absolutely Q. What would you like to say to all our readers out there in SL? A. Come hear me sing! I’d love to share my singing with you all, and touch you with the passion of music in my heart! I am happy to have had this opportunity to interview you Djembe, and our readers i am sure are just as excited to hear your story.
