2014 ANNUAL REPORT FSAE FOUNDATION

Mission: To support education, research, professional development, publications, and public relations efforts for the association management professional.

Forward Thinking for a Brighter Tomorrow The FSAE Foundation Annual Report printed by

Greetings FSAE Members, Over 250 years ago Benjamin Franklin authored “The Way to Wealth” – our country’s first book of financial advice. It was one of his most famous writings and endures still today. He understood the correlation between education and its significant return on investment. In fact, one of his most famous quotes came from that book: “An investment in knowledge pays the best dividend.” That quote would be an appropriate sub-title for this 2014 Annual Report of the FSAE Foundation –our members made the investment in our association and the Return on Investment has been exceptional for our future. This annual report not only provides a summary of the Foundation’s accomplishments in 2014, it also allows us to recognize and thank our investors for their generosity and encourages all members, executive and associate alike, to make investing in the FSAE Foundation an annual practice. The mission of the FSAE Foundation is to support education, research, professional development, publications, and public relations efforts for the association management professional. But the Foundation is so much more than its mission statement. The Foundation allows us, as association professionals, to give back to our profession and support the development of the next generation of association leaders and ensure the continual improvement of the association management profession. Since 2002, the Foundation has provided $192,700 for educational programming for association executives, $121,440 in grants to 205 association management professionals and provided $237,000 to implement Foundation initiatives. The Foundation is only able to accomplish its goals of quality education, scholarships/grants for professional development and industry research because of our generous investors. In 2014 our investors did not let us down. In fact, we realized an incredible 73% increase in dollars and a 17% increase in our number of investors. Thank you so much for your belief and support of the Foundation. Please enjoy and take pride in the 2014 FSAE Foundation Annual Report.

2014 by the Numbers “Receiving an FSAE Foundation Grant to attend the 2014 Conference was incredibly beneficial! Without the grant I would not have had the opportunity to meet and network with so many amazing colleagues and industry leaders. Additionally, the education has enabled me to successfully use new tools to grow our membership already! I am so grateful for the investment in our future and am even more committed to FSAE!”
