So tell us about your experience shooting with MQProductions. I had a great time: good vibes, good chemistry. MQ’s vision is sick. What are some of your goals and expectations with modeling? There are too many to mention. I want to do it all. I was that one kid growing up saying they wanted to be a police officer, firefighter and doctor at the same time. I am happy and thankful for all the opportunities that have been offered to me. Who or what inspired you to model ? Tyra banks inspired me to model. I always watched Americas Next Top Model. I dreamed of moving to California and seeing my name in lights.

I’ve have been modeling since I was a senior in high school, but consistent for about a year now. I am currently working on www.Brandirenee.net. My experience with MQ productions has been my best experience thus far. Everyone took their time making sure everything was handled appropriately. Also, I really appreciated the team working with me to get the best shots and showing me new modeling techniques. My goals and expectations from modeling is to not only model, but to also become an actress or a spokes woman for young ladies. Growing up I didn’t have, nor was around those type of persons’ who inspire the young minds to do things that they never thought they could, or be. The youth will forever need people to look up to in their lives. I strive to be that role model to the youth and encourage young ladies to believe and pursue their dreams.

My dream location for a shoot would have to be Japan! The culture, environment, and how its full of different looks and unique styles, are all the right ingredients for an amazing photo shoot. This year I’ve been traveling back and forth to different cities, each time researching different opportunities and networking within the industry. I’d love to shoot everyday if I could. I am all natural and proud of it :) I started modeling when i was 18, now 23 , with my first Hot Import Nights car show and I fell in love with being in the spotlight behind the camera. I am the most motivated person , and Im constantly wanting more in life . My vision with modeling is to continue to grow my international fan base , branch into acting and make sure my face is on billboards somewhere in this country . Would you consider 2013 a successful year for you or was it more like a learning experience ? Outside of the modeling world, people know me as Exotica from For The Love of Ray Jay. What are your new upcoming projects your working on ? I just finished working on this new reality show called Ocean Models. It’s similar to Americas Next Top Model and will be airing in 9 different countries. I also have a new project that I’m working on. I can’t say too much so stay tuned! :) How often do you travel with modeling and do you enjoy it? Right now I’m in Athens, Greece, getting ready for Athens Fashion Week. I’m super excited, I travel a lot. Whats your nationality? I’m Capeverdean. It’s a mixture of Portuguese and African! (A little geography lesson since some people have no clue where my country is) Cape Verde is located off the west coast of Africa. It is a group of 10 beautiful exotic islands! Where do you see yourself within the next 2 to 5 years? In the next 2-5 years, I see myself on Sport Illustrated and modeling for Victoria Secret. That’s my big dream job. I would also like to begin building a brand as well as owning my own business. You can’t model forever! Why you don’t do video modeling? Look how tall and skinny I am. Of course I can’t do videos haha, but nothing against it. It’s something that is not a priority to me unless it’s a big name like Jay-Z or Kanye West, and you don’t have to dance. So Gia, you’ve been under the radar for a few months now, what can we expect from you this time around ? I’ve been working a lot the past few months rebuilding my brand by shooting weekly, submitting to magazines, social networking, and hosting parties. I am also in the process of designing a collection of ensembles for women including everything from dresses to swimwear. It is scheduled to drop at the end of the year. How often do you host parties, travel etc....? I don’t hove many parties although I’d like to. Committing to bring 7+ girls is a task. I’ve had the pleasure to host at some of the hottest clubs like Bamboo, Dream, and Cameo right here in Miami. I’m planning to travel more to expand my brand! What have been the most creative shoot you’ve done ? I actually have two creative shoots. One was nude with a mask on with Eye Candy Anthony. The other was with my best friend, nude covering one another against a wall. How often do you go to the beach living in Miami ? Living in Miami you would think I’d live at the beach but I don’t because its too damn hot! Lol I’m always on the beach side looking for some hot bodies.

Although available treatments continue to improve, and survival rates continue to rise, it remains as traumatic and life threatening as ever. That is why regular self-exams and healthy lifestyle choices are so important to women of all ages. Early detection and treatment greatly increase oneâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s chance of survival, and of returning to a positive healthy life. Women facing the breast cancer battle have many options when it comes to possible treatment. Conventional medicine still turns to surgery and chemotherapy as the best tools available to beat the cancer. Adding functional medicine principles improves the prognosis while helping to alleviate some of the

more unpleasant side effects of conventional treatments. For many women facing the battle against breast cancer, the right supplementary therapy can offer relief from the pain and nausea associated with chemotherapy and can help strengthen their bodies for the all-important fight. Dark green, leafy vegetables, such as kale, broccoli, water cress and daikon help to stimulate the kidneys and liver, which are vital to the elimination of toxins from the bloodstream. This is particularly important for women undergoing chemotherapy, as once the drugs have done their work it is vital they be eliminated safely from the body. Adding probiotics also help to strengthen the digestive system, which in turn will help the body absorb much needed nutrients from the organic foods being added to the diet. Functional medicine practitioners and alternative cancer treatment centers also suggest that breast cancer patients increase the amounts of anti-inflammatory foods such as garlic, curcumin, flax seeds, hemp seeds and green leafy vegetables in their diets. These foods help to prevent the formation of new blood vessels, which in turn may prevent tumors from metastasizing.

Saw Palmetto, sulforaphane and bitter melon have all been shown to have anti-cancer properties, and can help to retard the growth of breast cancer cells. Likewise, milk thistle has been shown to have an adverse effect on cancer cells, retarding their growth. For those struggling with the effects of chemotherapy, the use of ginger is suggested to help quiet the accompanying nausea and to increase appetite, while melatonin can help to ease sleep and allow rest Any cancer diagnosis is traumatic for the patient and their loved ones. Breast cancer survivors agree that attitude is paramount in beating the disease. Part of a healthy attitude to the cancer fight is knowing you are doing everything you can to strengthen your body so it can fight the cancer. It’s a little harder for the models to get noticed in this area. Models have to travel to, or catch published photographers when they visit the Bay Area. What’s your nationality? I am Mexican and Italian. How often do you shoot? I don’t shoot as often as I’d like to, due to the fact that the photographers I would prefer to shoot with are not always nearby. Usually, once every 3 months or if the photographer travels to the Bay Area sooner. Who influences you to model and what are your goals? Jessica Burciaga is definitely an inspiration; She is my all-time favorite model. My goals are to be published in reputable magazines, on websites, network with companies and possibly sign a major contract with an agency. Acting is also one of my goals outside of getting my degree. What can we expect from you within the next year? I will be receiving my Bachelors Degree in General Education and Medical.
