DOWNTOWN DINING: The Team, Peacock Alley

Peacock Alley is North Dakota’s oldest restaurant and bar. Established in 1933 in the historic Patterson Hotel building in downtown Bismarck, the history of Peacock Dining is long and colorful. In fact, four US presidents have stepped foot inside! Patrons can experience Peacock’s history as shown on the walls and in the original decor. Today’s location of the bar is where the hotel lobby used to be, where people from all over the world came to enjoy the west.

Peacock is known for their high-quality ingredients—and for their lack of a microwave! They serve only the freshest food and boast that it’s worth the wait. Peacock Alley is also known as a cornerstone of downtown Bismarck. They’ve seen the city evolve and change over time, and love being a part of the community’s history.

Whether it's the place for engagements, negotiating a business deal or celebrating life with others, the Peacock Alley has been a part of it all.
