50,000 TREASURES 50,000. I kept track of how many steps I took this month while exploring Downtown Fargo for hidden treasures. That means I walked roughly 25 miles while trying to find the best Downtown Fargo has to offer. And, you know what, I failed you. We just scratched the tip. With 50,000 steps, I could have really included 50,000 hidden treasures. When's the last time you went for a walk downtown? I don't mean walking from your car to the restaurant you're eating at. I mean a real meandering stroll through downtown. A couple of months ago, my fiancĂŠ and I got a border collie named Fitz. While there are numerous reasons we love

him, one of the main reasons is that I now have a perfect excuse to put on a great podcast and simply explore downtown. So here it is, my challenge for you. 3 Hiking at Buffalo River State Park Being from around Bemidji, MN, I often find myself in need of being surrounded by trees and water. That's when I escape to Buffalo River State Park. Just a simple 20-minute drive from town, they offer several miles of hiking trails. The best part? A year-round state park pass is only $35 and will get you access to 75 Minnesota state parks.

4 Pounds Bloody Mary Bar I'm a sucker for a great Bloody Mary and, every Saturday, Pounds offer an extensive build-your-own bloody bar with pickled and fresh veggies, pizza, fried foods and grilled cheeses.

5 Dog Training at FM Dog Obedience School I have to give a shoutout to the FM Dog Obedience School for offering some great classes for my one-year-old border collie. I have seen drastic improvement since enrolling him in class.

In what might be one of the most unique yoga experiences around, Dani Thompson, the owner of Downtown Yoga at 216 Broadway, is doing a broga class on Thursday, August 23. What is broga, you ask? It's a time to bring your bros together for a night of beer and yoga, of course. Downtown Yoga also does classes like doga (yoga with your dog), wine + yoga, parent and child yoga and many other unique classes.

12 Bangkok Fire Ice Cream

Originating in Rapid City, South Dakota, Silver Lining Creamery is one of the new ice cream parlors to open downtown. They make their ice cream onsite and feature 18 different flavors at once with two sorbets always on the menu. A few of their unique flavors include lemongrass, lavender honey, Bangkok fire and apple peach mango sorbet. No, the Bangkok fire isn't excessively hot, but yes, it is delicious.

Nitrobrews On Tap

Twenty Below Coffee has four nitrobrews on tap. Yes, that's right; they're on tap and they're delicious. In this photo, you'll find their Papua New Guinea, Ethiopia, Mexico and Blizzard of '66 blends. However, be aware that their selection is always rotating, besides the Blizzard of '66.

The Smallest, Cutest Garden You've Ever Seen

A New Mural From New Artists

There's a new mural adorning Downtown Fargo, but this one was created by an unlikely group. The Plains Arts Museum Buzz Lab interns created this colorful mural, which hangs on the Plains Art wall on First Ave, in collaboration with visiting artist John Hitchcock. This internship is for teens ages 11-18 who are interested in the arts and sciences, leadership and the environment, and who want to make a positive impact on their community.

You've probably never heard of the Ole Tangen Park, but we bet that you've walked by it. At only .076 acres, this is the smallest park in Fargo. They have a vegetable garden available for anyone to use. Fun fact: This park received notoriety last year when marijuana was found growing there, which is ironic because the park is right across the street from the Fargo Fire Department. 21

The Great American Run Shop

To celebrate Saucony's growth, Beyond Running was selected as one of 39 great American run shops in the nation. To celebrate this honor, during the month of July, Beyond Running had many different events like a plogging run where they do a group run and pick up trash along the way.

Next time you're in Zandbroz, make sure you take a look up on their wall and see this one-of-akind band made from scavenged items. Created by Renee Danz, the band was put up in May, and there's no plans on taking it down.

Apartment Tour

For the first time ever, the Downtown Neighborhood Association is hosting a downtown tour of homes in September. This event will be similar to what the Hawthorne Neighborhood does for their home tour. The tour is Saturday, September 15 from noon-5 p.m. and there will be eight different condos/homes/apartments in the tour. Tickets can be purchased at Zandbroz, Nichole's, Northern Home Furniture and on Eventbrite.

Unpronounceable, But Delicious, Goodies

After a successful 46-year-run in West Acres, Stabo's has moved to Downtown Fargo at 406 Broadway N. While we wish you the best of luck in pronouncing everything, we definitely recommend the melkesjokolade, a Norwegian milk chocolate. In fact, they have a shelf full of different delicious Scandinavian goodies.

A Piece Of History In The Open

Originally built in 1909, the Loretta Building has held everything from a cattle company and SCHEELS Hardware to a hot dog shop, paint store and a stereo shop, and now it houses many offices and the Boiler Room. An original piece of the boiler is on display in the Boiler Room today to help keep that history alive.

Freshly Ground Peanut Butter Prairie Roots Co-op has a huge bulk section and was one of the first places in town to carry alkaline water. However, what we love the most is that they carry freshly ground almond and peanut butter. You can watch it become peanut butter right before your eyes! Pro tip: They also sell organic maple syrup in bulk that you can buy and mix in with peanut butter back home. Yummmmm.....

The lobby of the new RoCo apartments feature mailboxes with a unique decorative twist. The bricks surrounding the mailboxes were extracted from the Fargo Carnegie Library, which used to occupy the site.

Windows With A Story

The stained glass windows in Sanctuary Events Center belonged to the St. Mark's Lutheran Church, which used to be on that site. Founded in 1886, St. Markâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s was the first English-speaking church in the Dakota Territory. The church was started by Lutheran missionary William F. Ulery, who raised $2,000 for the original structure by going door-to-door throughout Fargo-Moorhead to raise funds. The church building was completed and dedicated in 1912.

However, what most people don't know is that Cindy O'Day has a warehouse not far from Downtown Fargo with even more unique products. Usually you can only go to the warehouse by appointment only, but O'Day will be having an open house on Sunday, September 9 from 12-5 p.m.

Once a month, the Hotel Donaldson's executive chef Ryan Shearer leads a food demonstration. Each month, there's a customized menu and a threecourse meal. Hidden History

On the corner of Main Ave. and 7th St., lies the DeLendrecies building. Originally built in 1894 as the home for the deLendrecies Department Store, it was constructed as a two story building and was originally the Chicago Dry Goods House. Over the years, the apartments were added on the upper levels and it now houses businesses like VIP Restaurant, SJ Hair Studio and more.

Puzzled Escape Rooms is opening a second location on the third floor of the Syndicate Building at 612 1st Ave. N, a block south of their current downtown location in the Black Building. Can you rescue a time traveler in this new adventure opening in August? Through Recovery Reinvented, she is bringing a public dialogue to the state to eliminate that shame. You’ve been vocal about your past struggles with addiction. What made you decide to make this your platform? When Governor Burgum took office, the focus on the opioid situation was alarming and concerning in North Dakota and across the nation. I was asked to do an interview about a month and a half into Doug’s governorship and that was the first interview that I would have done. About five minutes before the interview, I said to Doug, “I’m going to talk about my recovery.” He was like, “You are?” I said, “Yeah, I think it’s time.” I had already mentioned that my platform was addiction so people already knew that. I just felt a calling. I felt I had an opportunity to help people understand about addiction and recovery. I decided to open the door and walk through it. 33

Parents who picked up that Narcan at the conference three days later revived their son who had overdosed. That was really powerful." Part of the reason I did was that there is so much stigma around the chronic disease of addiction, which affected me as well because I didn’t talk about it for 16 years. I just decided that if I could help other people reach out for treatment and seek help and find recovery by talking about my experience, then I felt like it would be worthwhile and I am grateful for that opportunity. You speaking out might have shown that it effects all walks of life. I think part of that stigma is that it only affects certain types of persons. Addiction doesn’t discriminate. It literally affects everyone. When I go speak somewhere or meet people, I ask people to raise their hand about how many have been affected by addiction and 90 percent of the room raises their hand. We’re in North Dakota, a rural state and we have a reputation for being hard working, hard drinking people. How do you fight that and what are your thoughts on that reputation? Unfortunately, we were again named the drunkest state in the nation and I believe that there are a lot of people really struggling in our rural communities that are a part of that designation that are not reaching out for help because of that stigma of addiction. I think we, as a state, are a group of caring and committed people. We’re a small state of people that can really make a difference by starting to talk about the disease of addiction. If we talk about how it affects you and your family, then I believe we’ll really move the needle and change that so we’re no longer on that path. I think a goal for our state should be that the state completely drops off that list.

It’s a bad sign when it becomes a rallying sign for the state. What the governor is doing is really cool with the Main Street Initiative. What we often hear is that there’s not enough to do, there’s not enough for young people to do, there’s not enough reason for people to stay. Part of the reason we get that title [of drunkest state] is because it’s really related to the Fargo-Moorhead area and how many universities we have here and all the college students. One of the things we’re trying to do with the Main Street Initiative is have more programming, have more things for young people to do. Create music venues where you don’t have to be 21 to go to that venue where people can go to socialize. The Main Street Initiative is really going to make a lot of headway in creating more opportunities for young people to stay that don’t revolve around the number one social issue in our state, which is drinking and drugs. Take me through the genesis of Recovery Reinvented. It’s the brainchild and the idea came from Pam Sagness who’s our Director of Behavioral Health. She is really awesome and we are so lucky to have her team because they’re so innovative, forward thinking, and always ahead of the curve in terms of mental health and addiction and what we can do in our state. We started talking about this idea of doing a conference and I was all in. We had the first conference last year. We ended up with between 650-700 attendees. We gave out Narcan at the conference, which is the antidote for somebody who has had an overdose. The Addiction Policy Forum Recovery Reinvented is connecting with this nonprofit out of Washington D.C. to help communities become the leaders to create opportunities for recovery and work to eliminate the stigma. addictionpolicy.org

We also did a recovery countdown where we asked people to stand up if they were in recovery and asked, “How many of you have been in recovery for a year? Two years?” After that, I remember the governor telling me that somebody who works in North Dakota government came up to him and said, “I have three years of recovery and I’ve never told anybody. You’re the first person I’m telling.” It’s those types of things that are really powerful. The more people talk about it, the less stigma people have. We decided to do it again this year because it really is a great way to get several different groups together: education, law enforcement, Native Americans, behavioral health, healthcare, and criminal justice to focus on different topics. This year, we have three key themes. One is to eliminate the stigma of the chronic disease of addiction, which is my platform. Another is to talk about the science of this chronic addiction. The third message is talking about building recovery support in communities and what communities can do. Dr. Don Warne, who used to be with NDSU and is now with UND, will be a speaker along with five others. He is Native American himself and has spent a lot of time focusing on public health. He has a degree from Harvard, a degree from Stanford. He’s going to talk about issues related to behavioral health and Native Americans. Methamphetamine is really destroying people and communities on reservations in North Dakota. The governor and I have made a commitment that we’re going to partner with these communities to see what we can do together. We believe that there’s not enough help or support. I always say that we treat our new Americans better than we treat our Native Americans across the nation. We have some great initiatives we’re focusing on. The other thing that we’re going to do that I’m so excited about is bringing change. People are saying, “I think things are

changing. I think people are talking about addiction. I feel like there is less stigma.” However, feelings versus data are very different. We are going to be doing a statewide survey to determine how much stigma we have in our state and where we are. Once we have that baseline, we’re going to measure that against every year to see if we’re changing. No other state across the nation has ever done this type of survey. I met with Kellyanne Conway last week in D.C. and shared it with her and a team of people. I’ve shared it with governors at other governor events. People want that model. We’re going to be sharing that with anybody who wants to do that. We’re going to be talking about that survey at the event. With North Dakota being such a rural state, resources can be hard to come by. Talk about the ones that are available out there? That’s an area that we’re very focused on because we are a very rural state. I spoke with this couple in Mott, North Dakota. She’s the sheriff and he’s a pastor. The sheriff said that there’s a woman in the community who has had alcohol addiction for a very long time and is violent. She was recently in a period of sobriety and her and the sheriff were communicating everyday. The sheriff was almost her sober coach playing that dual role. The people in law enforcement in our state are on the frontlines. They’re the ones that are having to step up and help people, especially in rural communities. Myself or a family or friend is going through addiction problems. What should I tell them? Have the courage to reach out and ask for help. I tell everyone, send me a message on social media. I make an effort to reply to people. I make an effort to email and meet with people. I’m available. I know that if I would have had somebody who was really supportive, it might have made a difference. The sooner you have the courage to reach out and ask for help, the sooner you can get back on the path of having a happy life. You can have a happy, joyous and free life.

The Black Building Directly to the south of the Black Building sits an unassuming three-story building, which is home to Scandinavian furniture store scandesign. Originally built to house Blackâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s, a department store of George M. Black who built the Black Building, it was designed with six tall concrete panels, which created a unique canvas for store signage. This summer, the precast concrete panels on the upper floor were removed and replaced with storefront glass, creating a beautiful volume of office space flooded with natural light.

123 Broadway The east corner of 2nd Avenue North and Broadway also has a new look. The building at 123 Broadway is referred to by many as the Metro Drug building, after the business that occupied the entire first floor from 1982 to 2015.

Best practices in urban design philosophy say that long expanses of blank wall, such as the north side of 123 Broadway before its redesign, are not as comfortable or interesting to walk along. People are drawn to building storefronts, comprised of large expanses of glass. The ability to see inside store and restaurants makes for a nicer experience for a passersby. You’ll notice frequent entrances in Downtown Fargo because most buildings in the downtown are 25 feet wide. We strive to maintain this frequent rhythm of storefronts as the changing business type, window

displays and activity creates a varied and interesting public realm and draws people into businesses and down the street. In following this philosophy, the main floor of 123 Broadway was subdivided, creating three smaller commercial spaces, each with their own front door.

This summer, we’ve welcomed Silver Lining Creamery to the corner space, and Wasabi and Poke Bowl to the center space. One space still awaits a new business to bring it to life.

Roberts Alley After years of building construction and alley reconstruction, the south half of Roberts Alley has reopened as a sweet little spot in downtown Fargo. The alley still accommodates vehicles, but has become a natural gathering place for people on foot, making it safe to enjoy cookie dough without worrying about traffic. Just in this half block stretch, you can grab a treat, enjoy local fine art, eat, drink and shop. Over the course of two years, the surface lot at the corner of Roberts Street and 2nd Avenue North was transformed into a 455-stall city parking garage surrounded by apartments and retail, adding seven new businesses, with room for two more.

In June 2018, the community celebrated the renewed Roberts Alley with the Right Up Your Alley Party, hosted by Radio FM Media. Hundreds of people enjoyed a brand new experience in downtown Fargo.

The north half of the alley is currently being reconstructed by the city and new space is being built for downtown’s first fish and chips shop, BeerFish. Another reveal we’re excited for? The new rooftop patio at Drunken Noodle’s new home in the 400 Block on Broadway. We can’t wait! Seeing these transformations embraced by the community, (and seeing all the kids coming downtown and having a great time!), fills our team with gratitude. Thank you, Fargo! 45

Who are you?

I joke and say I'm from where folks in Africa would call "the lost tribe," a man of slave lineage from both parents and an African-American male. I have nine brothers and sisters and my father is a pastor. I grew up in a predominantly black neighborhood in North Minneapolis. I spent most of my high school years in South Minneapolis where I learned the culture of and what it was like in the lives of Native Americans, Somali Americans and Latino Americans. I had the privilege of being surrounded by black people, my family being predominantly black. Seeing my parents engaged in their culture, I learned what it meant to be black and proud.

Why are you here?

Fargo is a growing city and the people are so nice here. This place forced me to grow into the person I am. Being surrounded by working people, I hope to start a leadership program in North Fargo and West Fargo. There are so many great leaders here who could help a youth in the local high schools. I hope to venture to other parts of North Dakota and help other kids find leaders in their community to connect with. Fargo has one of the largest One Million Cups in the nation but imagine if our kids could get the maximum out of life? This next generation in Fargo, with all these different sorts of cultures moving in, I hope to meet with kids of color and with leaders of color. The city wants to see people succeed and it is quite possible.

So, how did you get to Fargo?

I was gonna play football at a private school in Florida and I wasn't aware of how house finances worked in college. The tuition at the school was too expensive. Although they would have paid for some of my athletics and I received a few scholarships, I still wouldn't be able to go to that school.

With two months to spare, I had to search for a school that was great but affordable and it had to "have swag" but wasn't too far away. It was the search that would change my life forever. While everyone was getting ready for college and picking classes, I went to niche.com and searched for everything you need in a college. I came up with NDSU after thousands of searches. I was searching things like school environment, a winning football team, college town and not too far from Minnesota. My first day of orientation was my first day of school and look at me now.

Tell us about your college experience?

I am currently a senior at NDSU and I've completed most of the leadership programs offered at NDSU. I've worked at several places inside the Memorial Union and have volunteered as a mentor for many high schools and middles schools throughout North Dakota. The creative side of me has hosted and planned open mics, art shows and other ways to get the Fargo-Moorhead community exposure. Outside of NDSU, I have helped plan a few concerts here in Fargo. I think there is a lack of sober fun in Fargo and most of the events I have are just that. I've been involved in the planing of the first black fraternity at NDSU and have helped get black students union up and running. Now, I'm just trying to create a culture of leaders and a safe space for people who want to make an impact. Sometimes, we're told to but get ahead of ourselves but why not? I've got a TED talk, have done some keynote speeches at universities and was recognized as the Sarah Martinsen Outstanding Service Award, all because of trying to go the extra mile. Having faculty and staff, and even local church members, push me to be a better person has made all the difference.

Should you do formal education or the school of hard knocks?

hree out of every five aspiring culinarians will opt for an alternate profession within two years of working in a kitchen. This statistic is based on a study I made up for this column! I don’t have any idea what this statistic may actually be but it can’t be good. From my experiences alone I’ve seen so many cooks either crack from the pressure or simply say, "no thanks, this isn’t for me." As far as the never ending question of, “Should I attend culinary school, or simply work my way through the ranks?” I think we could easily sum it up with a simple quote from the late Anthony Bourdain.

also give you an advantage over your future co-workers. The school provides the resources. You need to provide the effort and discipline. Culinary apprenticeships are affordable and provide much needed on the job training. Unfortunately, the closest one is in Colorado. (Or maybe that’s fortunate.) On the job training is of course the most affordable option. Local restaurants typically don’t offer a broad enough training opportunity to take you to the top. You should use local restaurants as a stepping stone. Local restaurants will get your foot in the door in Minneapolis. Then New York. Then Tokyo. And so on and so on. Culinary school won’t make you a chef! You have to work for a decade or more to accomplish that. School only provides the foundation to build upon. There are a ton of culinary school options. Ask many questions and visit a few schools before deciding. You’ll probably make between $12 and $15 hour after graduation. Make sure you approach school debt with a sense of reality. Money will come. Be patient. Being a chef isn’t about being cast for Top Chef or being featured in magazines. It’s about exploring a passion for cooking.

“I’m not telling you that culinary school is a bad thing. It surely is not. I’m saying that you, reading this, right now, would probably be ill-advised to attend—and are, in all likelihood, unsuited for The Life in any case. Particularly if you’re any kind of normal.” Chef Bourdain had a way of articulating his thoughts far more effectively than I ever will. If you’re a relatively normal human being who possesses a desire to be around relatively normal human beings, then perhaps this profession simply isn’t for you, regardless of whether your preference of education is formal or on the job.

I’ve been suckered into clicking on a sneaky article titled “The Top 10 Super Foods” or “5 Foods That Will Boost Your Metabolism.” In a moment of weakness, usually over a glass of wine, I open some fantastical article that lured me in with a beautiful picture of ginger root and blood oranges only to find that the magical foods promised to make me immortal are really just more of what I already know is healthy. Kale, avocados, blueberries, salmon, green tea, red wine, etc… All whole real foods, mostly plant foods, nothing packaged or baked.

When it comes to healthy food, specifically what to eat for weight loss, there is no secret grocery store tucked away where healthy people shop that the rest of the world does not know about. There are no secret weight loss foods. Be wary of packaged items that look healthy, are often housed in the natural foods aisle, but are not necessarily weight loss foods. Like cookies made with almond flour and coconut oil, flax seed and multigrain crackers, chickpea chips and black bean puffs—although healthier versions, these will not help you lose weight regardless of what they are made from. I have seen hundreds of private clients for weight loss over 20 years and have learned a LOT about people's habits. There is often a string of misconceptions. One of them is the notion that packaged, baked goods when made from healthier ingredients like almond flour and coconut oil somehow contribute to weight loss. The other is that switching to olive oil rather than another equal in calorie but less “heart healthy” oil will also contribute. Because, since it’s healthier for me, it must be good for weight loss. Although there is some benefit in switching from soybean oil to olive oil, white flour to wheat and not eating fried chips, those substitutions are not the reasons individuals lose weight. Have you ever heard someone say, “I switched to chick pea flour and I only buy baked chips and that’s how I lost weight!” There may be a marginally healthier version of mac’ n cheese or traditional

sugary cereals but a little bit healthier does not translate into weight loss. Chips are chips. Cookies are cookies. Bread is bread. Cereal is cereal. When you compare the calorie count, the glycemic value, carbohydrate grams, etc… they are often only slightly different. I grew up on zucchini bread. While the neighbor kids were eating banana bread with chocolate chips, I was served up shredded zucchini bread made with half the sugar the original recipe called for (which was already half of what other recipes called for already because, well, it’s zucchini bread) whole wheat flour, and unsweetened applesauce instead of oil. Although it was healthier than the neighbor's banana bread I so longed for, back then and still now, that substitution makes zero difference in my weight. Once again when you look at nutritional factors like calories or glycemic load, they are marginally different. The take away here is that although healthier is better for you nutritionally, don’t expect it to produce weight loss. Substituting cooked zucchini and whole wheat flour instead of white flour and sugar in your banana bread, will just make it so no one will come back for a snack—it won’t help with weight loss if the calorie count is the same or the glycemic load is equivalent. So if you’re going to eat those foods, you might as well enjoy the kind you like and factor it in to your diet overall. I’ve seen plenty of people eat four or five skinny cow cream treats, which ultimately was more calories than if they would have just had the one dish they really wanted. I say… choose when you’re going to be bad—build your badness into your plan. If you want to have pumpkin chocolate chip muffins, have them. Don’t mess them up with some weirdo substitute no one wants. Enjoy them as they are meant to be enjoyed. Love them and get your fill. Then be done.

"I used to work at a Credit Union before here. I have really bad sleep insomnia so I'm up until about 4 or 5 in the morning every night. Most of the people I talked to were in bad shape already so they saw me as the bad guy for the most part. "I figured if I'm not sleeping, I love to talk and I still look like I'm 19, I can get away with bartending. It's fun. I used to do it back in my hometown but that was more, 'What kind of beer would you like or what shot of whiskey?' The whole cocktail bar was completely new to me when I came in here. I'm a huge fan of different art styles so I kind of assumed that this was like another medium to work with. I came into it as you learn through trial and error and I love creating different drinks that people will try out and some like and some don't like."

"I really like to make seasonal drinks. I like to make summery, refreshing drinks. It reminds me of what I see that I don't get to enjoy. I get stuck here looking out seeing the nice sun."

STRAWBERRY DELIGHT 2 strawberries 2 pieces of basil 1/2 oz. simple syrup 2 oz. Stoli strawberry vodka 1/2 lime Sprite

Muddle the two strawberries and pieces of basil and add the 1/2 ounce of simple syrup, 2 ounces of Stoli strawberry vodka, 1/2 lime and ice into a shaker and shake well. Strain into a glass and add Sprite to the top of it. Garnish with strawberry and basil.

ABOUT THIS DRINK

"A woman came in and she starts off by saying, 'Hey, I don't want to be picky, but...' I'm like, 'OK, here we go.' She's like, 'Can you make me anything with strawberry and basil in it?' I'm like, 'I've never made anything like that before but I'll give it a shot.' I started throwing things together and I gave it to her and she tested it out and she said she really liked it. I made it for a few other people in house and a couple people from our corporate office and they liked it so I kept going with it.

PRO TIP

Kramer has been wanting to test it out with champagne instead of Sprite.

"You get so many people that come through here that go, 'Hey, surprise me with something.' I'm like, 'Sure, I'm running out of surprises here.' It's fun and keeps you on your toes."

FOOD PAIRING Kramer recommends pairing it with their chimchurri steak salad, which has aged hand cut steak, on top of a bed of fresh chopped romaine, blue cheese crumbles, tomatoes, red onions, cucumbers, avocado and is complemented by South American chimichurri dressing. 57

For 63 years, Acapella Express has been entertaining Fargo-Moorhead and empowering women. This local chapter of the Sweet Adelines International, a worldwide organization of female singers, is dedicated to singing in the community. The group will perform at events around town and an annual regional competition. For most people, their only experience with acapella comes from TV shows like "Glee" or the movie "Pitch Perfect." In fact, they are making a push to try and get more members involved in the group. “The acapella piece, with the harmony, is something that really grabs you when you get involved in it,” said Anna Gauslow. “The more you hear it, the more you like it and the more you want to do it. When you perform it, it’s a lot of fun because it’s rewarding to hear the good sounds with the chords.”
