Food Combinations that look healthy but actually dangerous

Food Combinations that look healthy but actually dangerous Indians are well-known for being foodies and we give much importance to the taste and more recently to the health too. Today's health conscious generations take much care to take healthy foods and often take them in combination. And here it goes wrong sometimes. There are certain food combinations that look perfectly healthy, but are actually not. Let's have a look at some of these dangerous food combinations that are quite common in Indian platters.

1. Omlet with cheese and meat filling- That's a very common breakfast platter these days as working professionals are increasingly becoming cautious about the goodness of having breakfast daily and prefer taking this apparently healthy looking combo to refuel their systems with much required proteins. However, it is not advisable to combine proteins from varied sources together. Proteins require much energy to get burned and when two or more solid proteins are taken together at a time, they take away much for the bodily energy to get digested. Therefore, instead of making you energetic it actually makes you drowsy right in the beginning of the day. 2. Banana with milk- Banana and milk are almost regarded as divine source of energy and nutrition in India. However, when you are taking them in combination, they loose much of their sacredness. According to Ayurveda, milk and banana while taken together form toxins in the body and make it weary and slow. But, in our busy schedules, banana smoothies do come in handy. If you can't afford to give it a miss at all, add some cardamom and nutmeg to it to trigger digestion. 3. Fruit with chilled yoghurt- This is indeed a very favorite combo for the calorie-concious people as mid-meal snack. Though it helps in reducing the calorie intake by dampening the digestive fire, it does results in formation of toxins in the body and sometimes makes one vulnerable to cold, congestion and allergies. To make the combo more favorable, bring the yoghurt to room temperature before consuming and prefer adding dry fruits.

4. Finally, the one that has almost became a norm in the modern health conscious Indian families. Having a plateful of fruits after meal is something many boast of in front of other less conscious relatives. But think again. It is one of the most harmful practises and many nutritionists, time and again, have advised against it. Simple sugar contained in the fruit happens to stay longer in the digestive tract when taken post meal. These sugar when sits longer gets fermented causing damage to the digestive tract. Therefore, before planning a meal, give a thought on the combination. If possible, do a quick search on google. Afterall, the healthy looking combos may not be that healthy in actual. Remember, all that glitters are not always gold.
