What would Jesus Eat?

…and what should We As Christians/Believers/Health Seekers Eat? What Are The Options? It’s safe to say, the basic goal in any believer’s walk with Jesus Christ is to be Christ-like. So, if you really want to follow Jesus in every area of your life, you cannot ignore your eating habits, and guess what: “You are what you eat!” With that being said, the principles outlined herewith are based on natural foods and other practices that will not only improve your health but will also help you to advance in other spiritual aspects of your life and the basic notion of this lifestyle is that we shouldn’t consume foods that Jesus Himself would not have eaten during His time on this earth. Now, remember folks, this is not a diet or fitness regimen in the traditional sense but rather this is about making a change in the way you approach your eating and all around health habits. So , before I delve any further into this post, it should be pointed out that our system goes through a cleansing process from twelve midnight until twelve noon, and a building program from twelve noon to twelve midnight. Therefore, what is eaten during these respective periods must be harmonious with the natural processes. The following suggestions take this natural process into account.

So with that being said, eating in a way that is in tune with this time frame will be the most ideal and beneficial to the body. Now, here are the options to use when eating for health according to the Biblical Guidelines now backed up by Science, Facts and Figures.

PLEASE NOTE: If you are looking for the BEST and most effective Diet For Weight Loss And Disease Prevention, I recommend an exclusive or combined use of the first three options listed herewith!

OPTION #1Breakfast-Daily Lemonade (see recipe below) in the morning or early afternoon depending on when your day starts. Lunch-Seasonal, Seeded Fruits OR lunch may be omitted with no harmful effects. (Please refer to the note above on how to eat harmoniously with the body's cleansing mechanism.) Dinner-Seasonal, Seeded Fruits (sweet and non-sweet ) (This option is arguably difficult for most, but truly is the ultimate and most perfect choice and indeed it is something to aim for in regards to eating right.) Score: 10/10

This Option is based on the following verses: Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food!” Genesis 1:29 “The LORD God made all sorts of trees grow up from the ground–trees that were beautiful and that produced delicious fruit.” Genesis 2:9 “…The fruit will be for food …” Ezekiel 47:12 ============================ OPTION #2Breakfast-Daily Lemonade in the morning or early afternoon depending on when your day starts. Lunch-Fruits during the day Dinner-Salads (as described in the Recipes Section of this book) or More Fruits with Celery, Parsley or Lettuce afterwards. (Now this should be feasible for just about anyone, especially if you already are a vegetarian.) Score: 9/10 This Option is based on the following verses: Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food!” Genesis 1:29 “…..and you will eat the plants of the field.” Genesis 3:18 “…The fruit will be for food and the leaves for healing." Ezekiel 47:12 ============================ OPTION #3Breakfast-Daily Lemonade in the morning or early afternoon depending on when your day starts Lunch-Fruits during the day Dinner-Starchy Root Vegetables (e.g. Potatoes, Sweet Potatoes, Plantains NOT Grains per se ) and avocadoes or any other dips listed in Chapter 16 of this book. (Folks, okay, if you can’t go completely raw, owing to the fact that the components of this menu are on the Alkaline, Disease Healing side of the “Alkaline (disease healing) vs Acidic (disease forming)” chart in Chapter 13, this particular menu could indeed work for virtually anyone. In fact, for me, during the week, I eat the “Excellent” way listed here, and then on weekends, I eat the menu under the “Good” option.

Score: 7-8/10 Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food!” Genesis 1:29 “…..and you will eat the plants of the field.” Genesis 3:18 “…The fruit will be for food and the leaves for healing." Ezekiel 47:12 (A variation of these verses applies here) ============================ OPTION #4Breakfast-Daily Lemonade in the morning or early afternoon depending on when your day starts Lunch-Fruits during the day Dinner-Grain based dishes with vegetables. (Well, I will say this, re-read chapter 16 of this book thoroughly if you must eat grains. Some are permissible and not necessarily ideal and honestly, do NOT taste anywhere as good as Root Vegetable Based Dishes. Neither are they as simple to make. But, if you must eat grains, try to ensure they are either Brown Rice, Millet, Barley, Quinoa, Amaranth. All except the Brown Rice are said to be alkaline grains so they could suffice, however, if you need the carbohydrates, why not eat Potatoes, plantains or bananas-It’s much less work. ) Score: 6/10 =============================== OPTION #5Breakfast-Daily Lemonade in the morning or early afternoon depending on when your day starts. Lunch-Fruits during the day Dinner-Vegetables and Boiled, Baked, Grilled or Roasted CLEAN, PROPERLY GROWN CLEAN MEATS (Beef, Chicken, Clean Fish) REMEMBER: -No frying. -No Grease. -No condiments but Sea Salt only. Personally, I have not swallowed any flesh since 1997. Milk is out of the question too. and contrary to popular belief and propaganda, milk should NOT be consumed. Score: 4-5/10

“‘…This is a PERMANENT LAW for the generations to come, wherever you live: YOU MUST NOT EAT ANY FAT OR ANY BLOOD.’” Leviticus 3:17 “”Give the following instructions to the people of Israel. Of all the land animals, these are the ones you MAY use for food.” Leviticus 11:2 In Leviticus 11 and Deuteronomy 14, explicit instructions are provided on how these animals could be consumed.) If needed, contrary to what may be preached, Christ’s first coming did not and has not abolished any of the Laws in the Old Testament. The man says Himself: "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I HAVE NOT COME TO ABOLISH THEM BUT TO FULFILL THEM.” Matthew 5:17 (Please see the Related Table In This Post On That Subject) ================================== Now, here is the... LEMONADE RECIPE: On a personal note, here’s what I do when it comes to using lemonade daily and I published this on my blog a while back and I am including it here: Based on updated research, we at www.bodyhealthsoul.com would like to suggest the following in addition to adopting the lifestyle changing program outlined in our e-book *Try to drink 2-2.5 quarts of unflavored lemonade daily in the mornings in one sitting and remain still for several minutes afterwards for the solution to be properly assimilated. Recipe: 1 lemon to a quart of room temperature water (so that’s 2 lemons for 64 oz or 2.5 lemons for 80 ounces) HELPFUL HINTS: Rubbing the first squeezed half in a vertical motion on the tongue 3-times before squeezing the rest of the lemon(s) helps keep the mouth hydrated.

In addition, to activate the salivary glands for optimum assimilation of the lemon juice, before the first swipe and after the third swipe state a positive affirmation or favorite phrase like “The Lord Is my shepherd, I shall not want….” Or whatever you want to say that’s positive. I even go as far as to sing before saying these affirmations, making sure I hit various notes in the bass, tenor and falsetto voices. Okay it sounds eccentric, but hey... it works for me. Furthermore, do wait for at least 45 minutes before consuming any other food or drinking any items. On a side note, to keep the intense, yet pleasant after taste of the lemonade, you can reduce the water by about an ounce or two in both instances or add a few drops more of lemon juice to get more of the tangy taste. Also, please remember to wash the lemons being used for this daily drink thoroughly with a Fruit and Vegetable Wash designed for that purpose. (By the way, this advice does apply to ALL THE FRUITS AND VEGETABLES THAT YOU MAY BE USING!) ===================================== HERE IS AN INFORMATIVE VIDEO ON THE SUBJECT OF WASHING YOUR FRUITS AND VEGETABLES. ===================================== ==============================

Now, with all of this being divulged to you, here is some more important information. Folks the Bible says in Ecclesiastes 3:1 that “For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.”

Therefore, the seasonal availability of fruits and Vegetables is Nature’s way of telling you what to eat and when. Eating foods when they are in season is an integral part of health. You also have to keep in mind that you want to eat your fruits and vegetables according to their seasons as this brings an amazing variety to your diet. Dear Friends , once you cease with buying the same foods all year round, (for example apples and oranges, from January to December) you will begin to enjoy a sense of celebration every time a new food comes into season. You will have a deeper appreciation for the uniqueness of each season, and for the range of tastes, colors and

textures it provides. The seasons give us a long-forgotten sense of the wonderful natural cycles that Western rationalism ignores. Without a doubt, seasonal food also plays a role in holistic health – generally, fruits and vegetables appear during the season in which they are best for your body. For example, rich, full-bodied apples and or pears are winter foods, while light, juicy, refreshing mangos and melons, grapes are suited to summer. Furthermore, fresh food in season is unbeatable in terms of taste, nutritional value and variety. Though varieties of each food may be different, this table gives each food’s peak season. Of course there are many other fruits and vegetables, but I have listed a general compilation herewith.

NOW, FOLKS, HERE ARE THE FOODS TO AVOID FOR OPTIMAL HEALTH. 1. All meat and animal products including but not limited to beef, lamb, pork, poultry, and fish. (*AT LEAST Drastically reduce the consumption of the Clean meats you MAY eat and ensure to offset their inherent harmful effects by eating a lot of green vegetables.) 2. All dairy products including but not limited to milk, cheese, cream, butter, and eggs. 3. All sweeteners including but not limited to sugar, raw sugar, honey, syrups, molasses, and cane juice. 4. All leavened bread including Ezekiel Bread (it contains yeast and honey) and baked goods. 5. All refined and processed food products including but not limited to artificial flavorings, food additives, chemicals, white rice, white flour, and foods that contain artificial preservatives. 6. All deep fried foods including but not limited to potato chips, French fries, corn chips. 7. All solid fats including shortening, margarine, lard and foods high in fat. 8. Beverages including but not limited to coffee, tea, herbal teas, carbonated beverages, energy drinks, and alcohol. ======

Now, I want to bring to your attention that there are basically two kinds of foods. The ones that heal and nourish the body and the ones that poison it. This is plain and simple.

Coincidentally, scientists, biologists and nutritionists label them as acid/mucus forming and alkaline/mucus binding foods. That being stated, it should be noted that balanced body chemistry is of utmost importance for the maintenance of health and correction of diseases. Acidosis, or over-acidity in the body tissues, is one of the basic causes of many diseases, especially the arthritic and rheumatic ones. All foods are “burned” in the body–more commonly called “digested”– leaving an ash as the result of the “burning”, or the digestion. This food ash can be neutral, acid or alkaline, depending largely on the mineral composition of the foods. Some foods leave an acid residue or ash, some leave the opposite-which is an alkaline residue. The acid ash (acidosis) results when there is a depletion of the alkaline reserve or the reduction in the reserve supply of fixed alkaline bases in the blood and the tissues of the body. It is therefore very important that there is a proper ratio between acid and alkaline foods in the diet. Just as you won’t eat poison, if you knew indeed it was fatal, well, now you know what you should and should not eat based on God’s Laws first of all and what Science has to offer as validation. (Not like the latter is needed anyway.) I believe you will make the right choice for you and your loved ones.

So folks, remember, we have 2 kinds of foods: 1. Body Healing (Alkaline, safe): Fruits, Leafy and Root Vegetables. 2. Disease Forming: (Acidic, unsafe, poisonous): Everything else including Meat, Milk, and Grains (whole or not) and all derived from it! That being stated, folks, I have to share something else with you all. In all sincerity and with as much concern that I can muster for my fellow men, please, stop using Microwaves. Considering all the dangers of this commonly used contraption, is it any wonder that cancer, for one, is so prevalent in our society or practically most people walk around feeling lethargic or complain about being and feeling tired! Folks: PLEASE AVOID THE USE OF MICROWAVES. For an example of the harmful effects of microwaves it should be noted that the Journal of the Science of Food and Agriculture published a study in the November 2003 issue

explaining how they found that broccoli cooked in the microwave with a little water lost up to 97% of its beneficial antioxidant power. However, very tellingly, steamed broccoli lost only 11% or fewer of its antioxidants! Co-incidence? I think not.

Now, to serve as a quick reference tool, here is a table on some of biblical verses/statements as they relate to Clean and Unclean Meats. Excuses Given By Most Christians For Eating Unclean Things

Jesus did away with the old testament when he came and died on the cross

The Biblical Truth About Such Excuses That is erroneous. The same Jesus said in Matthew 5: 17 ‘Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18 For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. 19 Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practises and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven

It should be clear as day that He has not changed anything except what needs to be done when the laws are disobeyed or broken. (Friends, this is not a license to keep breaking the laws!)

Hey, I’m not a pastor or ordained minister, but you and I sure can read. So, when it comes to eating unclean meats and things not fit for human consumption, if science and medical research say they are wrong, why risk it? Especially when there are better alternatives. A read through of Leviticus chapters 18-20deals with sexual activity. Much (if not all) of what is listed there are practices that most Christians will readily frown upon and accept as the Law of God. However, it is noteworthy that these Laws against Sexual Immorality such as Prostitution, Bestiality, Homosexuality & Incest in Leviticus are in the same location of the Bible that prohibits the consumption of pork and other unclean animals. Now, it’s safe to say all well-meaning Christians know better than to say that such laws about sex have been ‘nailed to the cross’ or no

longer apply to us as we ‘live under grace.’ Well, then the argument or belief that the laws about unclean meats being abolished should be seen as invalid as well, since they are in the same book of the Bible. Let’s not deceive ourselves on this! Why take out some laws and accept them as applicable to modern-day Christians, then render the rest as no longer relevant, especially when the consequences on disobeying them affects our health and the health of our offspring.

Jesus said: “it’s not what goes into a person that makes them impure but what comes out…”

My dear friend, please finish reading the whole chapterThe parallel passage to Mark 7 is Matthew 15. The scribes taught that eating any food without a special ceremonial washing defiled the eater. However, Jesus said the ceremonial washings were meaningless. In verse 19, He listed certain evils–murders, adulteries, thefts, etc. Then He concluded, “These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashed hands defiles not a man.” Verse 20. No where here does he say we can

eat unclean meats…of course you can read this yourself and see.)

It should be noted that the Pharisees watched every word and movement Jesus made. When one reads the bible, it is apparent that they falsely accused him of breaking the Sabbath, and claimed that he blasphemed when he said JEHOVAH God was his Father, John 5:18. Jesus said: “it’s not what goes into a person that makes them impure but what comes out…”

However, not ONCE did any Jew accuse the Messiah of eating, or supporting the eating of, unclean meats.

From a first glance, it will appear that indeed, Jesus declared all foods Well, at the end of Mark 7:19 most clean however that is not the case. The most important clue for Bible translations say, “Thus understanding any passage in the Bible He declared all foods clean.” So is to it’s pretty clear that check the context. In this case, it’s Jesus changed the old food regulations in Leviticus 11, and its given in Mark 7:1-5 where Jesus is asked, “Why do Your disciples not ok to eat pork, walk according to the Tradition of shellfish, or whatever we want, the Elders, but eat their bread right? with unwashed hands?” (v.5).

Now, please make a note of three things1. The question isn’t about the LAW, but about a

TRADITION. 2. Second, it’s NOT a question about what may be eaten. It’s about whether one may eat at all without a ritual hand washing. 3. Third, you do notice they (the Pharisees and Jesus) were talking about BREAD (unleavened, biblical bread that we all agree would have had no yeast, chemicals etc) and NOT meat! In case you missed it: …but eat their BREAD with unwashed hands?” (v.5). So, it should be clear to all that the subject of Mark 7:1-19 wasn’t clean OR unclean meats. Therefore it cannot be about abolishing the Laws in Leviticus 11 either. Also, keep in mind that Jesus himself DID NOT make such a contradictory statement, (thus he declared all meats clean) The Greek manuscripts of the book of Mark do not actually contain the words, “Thus He declared all foods clean.” Check your trusty old King James Version of Mark 7:19. It reads quite differently. a. Mark 7:19 (NIV) For it doesn’t go into his heart but into his stomach, and then out of his body.” (In saying this, Jesus declared all foods “clean.”) b. Mark 7:19 (KJV) Because it entereth not into his

heart, but into the belly, and goeth out into the draught, purging all meats? The King James or New King James Versions of the Bible do not include the phrase “By saying this, Jesus meant that all foods were Well, at the end of Mark 7:19 most fit to eat…” in Mark 7:19. So, at least, in regards to what this Bible translations say, “Thus chapter is about-Health Laws in the He declared all foods clean.” So Bible, these versions may be the safest. it’s pretty clear that Jesus ***In addition, the parallel to that changed the old food regulations chapter in Matthew in Leviticus 11, and its ok to eat 15: verse 20 makes NO mention of pork, shellfish, or whatever we want, Jesus declaring ALL foods clean right? in any of the verses I have looked up on the internet. Naturally, people may still ask, “Ok, but why do so many translations seem to say that He declared all foods clean?” Well, for one the ORIGINAL English Version does NOT say that. In addition, this discussion took place in a social and historical context different than our own. Language and practice were based on the Word of God exclusively. For instance, their holidays were those days set apart in the Bible for special observance, not modern man-made ones. Their property rights were those of the Bible, not modern man-made ones.

So, only those things that were not “defiled”, “unclean” were considered food, everything else was not. Therefore, reading Mark 7:19 as they would have, it means, “Thus He declared all things-given-byGod-as food to be clean, regardless of ritual hand washing.” It should be noted that the Pharisees watched every word and movement Jesus made. When one reads the bible, it is apparent that they falsely accused him of breaking the Sabbath, and claimed that he blasphemed when Well, at the end of Mark 7:19 most he said JEHOVAH God was his Father as Bible translations say, “Thus is depicted in John 5:18. He declared all foods clean.” So However, not ONCE did any Jew it’s pretty clear that Jesus accuse the Messiah of changed the old food regulations eating, or supporting the eating of, in Leviticus 11, and its ok to eat unclean meats! pork, shellfish, or whatever we want, In addition, I fail to see why Jesus would want to harm right? His Bride-the Church- physically (by telling us to eat the wrong things that would make us sick) or spiritually (by telling us to disobey the laws of the Father.) It’s safe to say we should be on the same page now.

Well, at the end of Mark 7:19 most Bible translations say, “Thus He declared all foods clean.” So it’s pretty clear that Jesus changed the old food regulations in Leviticus 11, and its ok to eat pork, shellfish, or whatever we want, right? Well, 1 Timothy 4:4 says, “Every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused.”

At this point in time, common sense will dictate that this verse cannot and will not authorize eating skunks, leeches, maggots, tapeworms and every other imaginable animal, insect or parasite. If this were the literal meaning of the verse, it would mean that people are also good to eat. Every creature of God is good—“very good”—according to Genesis 1:31. That includes every kind of vermin, parasite and poisonous creature that exists. However the Creator Himself calls some of His creatures abominable and detestable,

when USED AS FOOD FOR HUMANS. To understand this verse, we must read the previous verses more carefully. Context is the key to correct understanding. This Scripture passage (verse 3) refers to meats “which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving” by His people. These meats, as we have already discovered, are the clean meats listed in Leviticus chapter 11 and Deuteronomy chapter 14. Verse 4 makes it clear that all creatures of God are good and not to be refused, provided they are among those created to “be received with thanksgiving” (the clean animals).

Well, 1 Timothy 4:4 says, “Every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused.”

The key verse to keep in mind here is Verse 5, which tells us why these animals (or foods) are acceptable: they are “sanctified” by God’s Word, which says they are clean. Paul’s instructions to Timothy actually affirmed that food must have PRIOR APPROVAL in the word of God (the Old Testament) in order to be eaten. As a result, suffice it to say that in this passage, Paul is actually reinstating the pertinence and use of the Old Testament dietary laws. It’s very telling that in 2 Corinthians 6:17 it says: Therefore, ‘Come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and

I will receive you. Can this verse be any clearer?

Well, 1 Timothy 4:4 says, “Every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused.” But didn’t Jesus cleanse all animals in Peter’s vision, as recorded in Acts 10? (Acts10:13)

No! In fact, the subject of this vision is not animals, but people. God gave Peter this vision to show him that the Gentiles were not unclean, as the Jews believed. Acts 10: 28-Peter said to them: ‘You are well aware that it is against our law for a Jew to associate with or visit a Gentile. But God has shown me that I should not call anyone impure or unclean. Let’s face it, if God “purified unclean foods,” the physical world should now exist with an absence of the risk in consuming them. That is there will be NO diseases or illnesses currently attached to eating meat the wrong way. (Unclean animals, fat consumption etc) Dear Friends, Eerdmans’ Handbook of the Bible comments: “These lists [of clean and unclean creatures] have a significance often ignored.

But didn’t Jesus cleanse all animals in Peter’s vision, as recorded in Acts 10? (Acts10:13)

Far from being based on fad or fancy, these lists emphasize a fact not discovered until late in the last century… that animals carry diseases dangerous to man”(p. 176). In fact, the same animals labeled unclean in Scripture still carry parasitic diseases that are still dangerous to human beings today! As is elaborated upon, most unclean animals are carnivores or scavengers that can transmit dangerous diseases to human beings. Clean fish have fins and scales. Unclean aquatic organisms like clams and oysters are filter feeders that purify water, and as a result, concentrate poisonous chemicals and pathologic bacteria and viruses in their tissues. Crabs and lobsters are scavengers that eat dead things on the bottom of bodies of water, furthermore, most unclean birds are carnivores or scavengers.

But didn’t Jesus cleanse all animals in Peter’s vision, as recorded in Acts 10? (Acts10:13)

Therefore, it is worth mentioning that God in His wisdom inspired laws to protect humans from contracting dangerous diseases, and to also protect his assigned clean-up crew by making them “off limits” as food for mankind. Now, please take a look at Leviticus 3: 17 again “You must never eat any fat

or blood. This is a permanent law for you, and it must be observed from generation to generation, wherever you live.”

Do you notice the keywords: “PERMANENT” “GENERATION TO GENERATION”…? Isn’t it clear that God has made this law permanent? So, if there is scientific proof that fat and blood cannot be removed from the flesh of unclean animals, how then is it possible that the “law has changed or has been nailed to the cross after the death and resurrection of the messiah?” At this time, it is worth mentioning that the flesh of animals listed as “unclean” for human consumption in the Bible pose unique risks to humans who eat them.

But didn’t Jesus cleanse all animals in Peter’s vision, as recorded in Acts 10? (Acts10:13)

What about the Verse That Says “You are not under law but under grace” in Romans 6:14?

Well, my dear friend. One of God’s laws is to respect our parents. Would you dare slap your momma? We know better than to disobey God’s laws. That being said, guess what: First, take a notice of verse 15 right after the famous “You are not under law, but under grace” statement in verse 14. It says: “What then? Shall we sin because we are not under the law but under grace? By no means!” At this stage, what exactly does the Bible define sin as? The answer is in 1 John 3: 4 which says:“Everyone who keeps living

in sin also practices disobedience. IN FACT, SIN IS DISOBEDIENCE.” Again, my friends, the whole verse has to be kept intact. “For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace. “. Paul was not referring to the “Law of God” when making the statement “You are not under the law but under grace”, but rather he was referring to the “Law of sin” (sin being biblically defined as disobedience to God’s Laws. Suffice it to say that in regards to health, which is what this book is about, God’s laws really do save us from diseases and sickness when we obey them. What about Genesis 9:3 which says: “Everything that lives and moves about will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything.”

Very interesting, I see the OLD TESTAMENT IS BEING QUOTED HERE.

I thought the general consensus was Christians are not bound by Old Testament Rules? Also, you do know this was centuries BEFORE the socalled “Mosaic” Laws, which were words uttered DIRECTLY by God! Anyway, to answer that question about this Genesis 9:3 verse, all you need to do is go to the VERY next verse and see the criterion for discernment when

analyzing verse 3. Verse 4 says: “But you must not eat meat that has its lifeblood still in it!”

I have heard a few people cite verse 3 and erroneously assume that God made all things that LIVE and MOVE good for meat. Well, lions, maggots, you and I LIVE AND MOVE…. Are we in fact GOOD FOR FOOD? Of course not! So according to verse 4, it becomes apparent that in regards to meat consumption, discretion is to be exercised and this is presented as follows: Any flesh of animals which contains or retains its lifeblood must not be eaten AND the ones that DON’T retain their lifeblood need to have this component extracted. This forms part of the distinction between the Unclean and Clean animals. What about Genesis 9:3 which says: “Everything that lives and moves about will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything.”

This perhaps could be scientifically explained in the fact that when considering most unclean animals, their flesh contains much intra-cellular fat or particles of fat inside the cells themselves, (for example the pig) while in other animals, the fat is found almost exclusively outside these

What about Genesis 9:3 which says: “Everything that lives and moves about will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything.”

cells in the connective tissues, in the form of fat cells. That’s why in beef, you can easily see a layer of fat, then the flesh. The division of the fat from the flesh perhaps makes it easy for a disintegration to occur between flesh from its inherent fat and blood. This fact is discussed in Leviticus 3: 17-“You must never eat any fat or blood. This is a permanent law for you, and it must be observed from generation to generation, wherever you live.”

Therefore, just as we would not eat ALL green plants as some serve other purposes besides being food, a discerning factor is given here for animals as well. Now, I ask, can humans eat all plants perhaps including a plant growing on your porch or on the block of your home? Again, the answer will be NO. Consequently, we can no more eat all types of meat than we can eat all plants, including poisonous ones. Here’s a reminder, we just finish going over an OLD TESTAMENT verse…again,

why is there a possibly a double standard when trying to justify our actions? I thought Christians are not bound by OLD TESTAMENT laws which say we MUST eat specific animals only, so why is an Old Testament verse being quoted here…? Just a thought…

What about Genesis 9:3 which says: “Everything that lives and moves about will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything.” Wait a minute, how can a Loving God be upset with me or anyone else for simply eating things like pork or shrimp? Give me a break!

My dear friend, the symptoms of poor health that you may experience at one time or another are the results of disobeying God’s laws as they pertain to health. God’s health laws are not illogical. They are natural, established laws of the universe, like the law of gravity. What goes up, must come down, what goes around comes around, you reap what you sow. Ignoring these laws always brings certain disastrous results. Trouble comes when we ignore the laws of health. However, God, in mercy, tells us what these laws are so we

may avoid the tragedies that result from breaking them. Now, in regards to God being angry or upset with us eating unclean things, let the Maker speak Himself: Please read: Isaiah 65:2-4: 2 All day long I have held out my hands to an obstinate people, who walk in ways not good, pursuing their own imaginations3 a people who continually provoke me to my very face, offering sacrifices in gardens and burning incense on altars of brick; 4 who sit among the graves and spend their nights keeping secret vigil; WHO EAT THE FLESH OF PIGS, and whose pots HOLD BROTH OF IMPURE MEAT; & Isaiah 66: 16 For with fire and with his sword the Lord will execute judgment on all people, and many will be those slain by the Lord. 17 ‘Those who consecrate and purify themselves to go into the gardens, following one who is among those who eat the flesh of pigs, rats and other unclean things – they will meet their end together with the one they follow,’ declares the Lord. Hmm, I was never aware of this, why aren’t these truths preached

I have asked myself the same question. Guess what, God has an opinion about

in Church?

this as He says in Ezekiel 22:26 26 …priests do violence to my law and profane my holy things; they do not distinguish between the holy and the common; they teach that there is no difference between the unclean and the clean; and they shut their eyes to the keeping of my Sabbaths, so that I am profaned among them. & Hosea 4:6: “My people are being destroyed for lack of Knowledge…” ================= Well, I didn’t make this statements, GOD himself did! So, I do not want this to be seen as an attack against religious teachers as I truly believe that most are well meaning and sincerely may not be aware of such health laws in the Bible or are misinformed in regards to them. (I’m not even going to get into the whole Sabbath issue here; I have saved that for elsewhere in this book!) Now, I doubt that any good intentioned pastor or church leader, as it applies, would intentionally mislead or withhold information from their congregation if it will benefit

the church and they themselves, including their own loved ones. So, suffice it to say that it’s time we all simply do what God says since it is so closely tied to our health. It’s been said that close to 7 out of 10 prayer requests in an average church are about sickness! Furthermore, let’s be honest, why are Christians just as sick as non-Christians? Well, remember God Himself says: “Even though I gave them ALL my laws, they act as if those laws don’t apply to them.” Hosea 8:12

Hmm, I was never aware of this, why aren’t these truths preached in Church?

How do we know which Scriptures are applicable to our lives today and which are discounted as “culturally

So, it should come as no surprise that God himself shows a link between our poor health as Christians and a disregard for his laws in this verse: “But their children, too, rebelled against me. They refused to keep my decrees and follow my regulations, even though obedience would have given them life..”Ezekiel 20:21 That being said, it is time for a wake-up call in the Christian community when it comes to obeying all of God’s laws. To the degree that a stipulation is rooted in creation, to that degree it has abiding value. (Marriage, sexual purity and eating the

irrelevant” (like greeting with a holy kiss or women covering their heads, etc.)?

proper foods would be huge in that regard.) To the degree that it is commanded across the whole terrain of Scripture—Old, New, Epistles, Gospels—Then it has high level abiding validity. (Both the Old and New Testaments enforce sexual purity and abstinence from Unclean Meats.) And to the degree that it is related to the gospel and close to the gospel it has ongoing validity and staying authority. Basically, those three qualifications generally will answer almost all of our questions. A fourth one would be: If the New Testament invalidates anything in the Old Testament that was commanded (like sacrifices or the priesthood or circumcision—things like that), that’s another criterion so that these are not required anymore. In addition a fifth will be if God says something is a permanent law and if He expressively says disobedience of such a law angers Him and will provoke Him to punishing those who disobey. (For examples see Leviticus 3:17 which says:“This is a PERMANENT LAW for the generations to come, wherever you live: YOU MUST NOT EAT ANY FAT OR ANY BLOOD!” and the previously cited Isaiah 66:16-17)

Now, I am aware some Christians may still be in disagreement with this principle of clean and unclean foods and they may cite 'lesser' commandments in the Bible that people tend to disobey as justification for the fact that it may be okay to forego these laws. Such laws can be found in Leviticus 19 and are laws against such things as tattoos, being clean shaven, wearing clothes made of 2 fabrics and a few others. Well, there are benefits of actually obeying these laws as they pertain to health, so in fact they are laws that should still be obeyed as much as possible. So, if these “lesser” laws are beneficial for us, how much more value would it be for us as Christians or people seeking to improve themselves to obey the “stricter laws” when they obviously carry more significance and value to our health at least to some degree. Now, please remember the following: *God said you MAY eat the flesh (“Of these are the animals you may eat…” Deut . 14: 4 ) not that you MUST eat. *Be sure of the source of the clean animals like turkey, chicken, beef, so they are as close to clean as possible biblically. *You could seek out the advice or directions from an orthodox Jewish friend or associate for help if needed. *Re read Deut. 14 and Leviticus 11 yourself and let the Spirit and common sense guide you. *Please eat a lot of fruits and vegetables to offset the inevitable harm of flesh consumption, especially in these modern times*if you must eat meat*the biblically clean ones that is. *If God forbade fat and blood (and a lot of things we consume) I know it goes without saying frying is out of the question as well as the use of harmful condiments. Dear Brethren, when it comes to second guessing God's advice on anything (in this case as it relates to health) I would like to bring the following verses to your attention: 1. Hosea 4:6: “My people are being destroyed for lack of Knowledge…” 2. Proverbs 19: 3: “People ruin their lives by their own foolishness and then are angry at the LORD.” 3. Ecclesiastes 7: 9: God created people to be perfect, but they have each turned to follow their own downward path.” So, suffice it to say that "Trusting in God's Laws with all your heart" will be the best way to go for not only your health goals but with any aspect of your life. Remember the Bible does say: “For I know the plans I have for you," says the LORD. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11

“…For I am the LORD who heals you!” Exodus 15:26 Well, I believe by now you should be enlightened on why it will be best to adhere to the previously mentioned options on eating the healthy way in the beginning of this post! It is also my hope that you will make that change and learn how to use these guidelines in the Bible to build disease resistant bodies and a healthier you and the rest of your family and friends starting now and I am proud to say that my book FITNESS: INSIDE AND OUT could serve as a road-map to guide you to success in improving your health. Okay, we have gone over the diet aspect of health. Now, let's deal with Exercise. Folks, the Bible has this to say about physical fitness: “A wise man is full of strength, and a man of knowledge INCREASES HIS STRENGTH.” Proverbs 24:5 “FOR PHYSICAL TRAINING IS OF SOME VALUE, but godliness has value for all things.” 1 Timothy 4:8

So, with that being said, anyone who is physically active or anyone who engages in exercise like Yoga, Calisthenics, hiking etc can attest to the fact that working out has benefits that go beyond the very obvious which may include slimming down or adding muscle tone. Do keep in mind Jesus Christ came to this earth not as a secluded and/or inactive monk, but as a carpenter in an age without power tools so the Man had to have engaged in a lot of physically demanding work for exercise. In addition, He chose fisherman like Peter, Andrew, James and John, who did not have diesel-powered machines to haul in their nets while fishing, they had to do it all manually. Moreover, when Jesus called His first disciples to “follow” Him (Matthew 4:19; John 7:17; 11:54), this included walking hundreds of miles a year. These examples show that a physically active lifestyle kept them healthy and provided stamina for completing their mission. Therefore, they should serve as a road-map of sorts for us to be physically active and avoid a sedentary lifestyle as much as possible. Again, although the Apostle Paul advised that, while our primary focus should be on spiritual matters, as “bodily exercise profits a little”, exercise must occur on a regular basis, because its benefits-albeit temporary for the length of time we are alive

on this planet- are vital to aid in reducing cholesterol levels, blood pressure and stress, and preventing diabetes, heart disease and a host of other problems. So What Kinds Of Exercises Are Best?

It’s pretty much your call. Personally, I do Yoga, The Royal Court Exercises: Which consist of Hindu Squats, Hindu Push-Ups and the Back-Bridge. I also have always liked running and jogging. I also do the occasional chin-ups and pull ups and of course walk a lot. Nonetheless, I have to give the praise to yoga for being arguably the most consistently useful form of exercise simply because very few exercises can be as useful internally and externally as Yoga-especially the Sivananda Style of yoga as is used and demonstrated in my eBook-Fitness: Inside & Out. However, for since variety is the spice of life, in addition to Yoga, you will find information on a whole lot of exercise routines and styles that you can choose from and do in the comfort of your own home mostly using your own body-weight.

(That way you don’t have to be concerned with costly and cumbersome exercise gear and equipment!)

Now, taking all of this information into consideration, through the tutorials outline in my eBook FITNESS: INSIDE AND OUT, you will learn tips on how to achieve a. all around improved fitness. b. better looking hair and skin. c. clearer breathing and lots more… just the way God, the Maker of Nature intended. I sincerely wish you all the best when it comes to improving your health and vitality and if you need to, FEEL FREE TO BOOKMARK THIS PAGE or share this information with anyone you feel may benefit from it!
