TITANIUM Titanium’s durability, dent resistance, corrosion resistance, strength and light-weight nature make it a popular metal choice for jewelry. Its beautiful lustrous color combined with its versatile properties make it a superb choice for those with sensitive skin and who want a piece of jewelry that will endure. Titanium is hypo-allergenic and has the highest strength to weight ratio of any known element. It can be anodized to produce various colors of Titanium and can be engraved with personal sentiments.

BLACK Ti™ Each piece in the Black Ti™ collection possesses the same benefits as grey titanium; however, it provides a rich, clean and distinctive Black look to the metal that will not chip away and is not an “applied” coating. Black Ti™ is a proprietary alloy which experiences an atomic transformation at the molecular level to become ceramic hard turning the Titanium black from the outside in by exposing the element to extreme heat. The process yields a supremely scratch resistant surface. Designs in this collection are created with titanium certified with a purity exceeding 99%. It is hypo-allergenic and extraordinarily biocompatible.

TIMOKU™ Also known as the ancient Japanese metalworking art Mokume (Mo-Ka-May) Gane that creates unique patterns in the metal. After multiple layers of grey and black titanium fuse together, it is hammered and rolled to set the crystal structure. The metal is then twisted and shaped to showcase the different layers and patterns in a unique fashion. No two rings are ever the same.

CERAMIC This is not the same material as your “grandma’s” ceramic. This is high-tech ceramic. It is an inorganic, non-metallic solid that is available in black, white and pink as well as other colors. Ceramic jewelry is valued for its scratch resistance, heat resistance, hypo-allergenic and fade resistant properties. Ceramic jewelry has a greater hardness than Titanium. This doesn’t mean that ceramic will never exhibit wear and tear at some point and if dropped this ceramic material may crack due to the velocity of force of the impact.

COBALT A newer material being used in the construction of alternative metal jewelry, it is light-weight and hypo-allergenic. Its platinum-look differentiates it from other alternative metals. Cobalt is very scratch resistant and is more scratch resistant than titanium and stainless steel. Cobalt rings will not chip or crack and it can be engraved with personalized sentiments.

VITALIUM® A patent pending composition material that is formulated to achieve a brilliant white color close to white gold and platinum. Vitalium® is a cobalt based material that is stronger than most metals and very scratch resistant. It is hypoallergenic and will not oxide, tarnish or change color. The material is rated two times harder then Cobalt and six times harder than Platinum. Despite hardness, bands can be removed without the use of a specialty ring saw or diamond cutting blade. Vitalium® can be engraved with personal sentiments using a diamond tip or laser.

STAINLESS STEEL There are various grades of Stainless Steel in the marketplace. 316L Stainless Steel is the material we use to create the jewelry in this catalog. “L” stands for low carbon. 316L is used to avoid corrosion problems caused by welding and does not develop surface rust. It is very fashionable in color, can be plated and is easily personalized with engraved sentiments.

IP-PLATING Many items in the catalog have been plated in colors such as gold, black, rose, chocolate brown, blue and pink. In the IP-plating process, the color is fused to the base metal in a controlled vacuum environment. This method enriches the jewelry with color that is fashionable and long lasting. However this does not mean that the IP-plating will never exhibit wear and tear at some point. It will scratch if exposed to sharp objects or rough surfaces.

This ancient Japanese metalworking art, also known as Mokume (Mo-Ka-May) Gane, creates unique patterns in the metal. Timoku™ design symbolizes the joining of two souls into a single integrated creation, far greater in strength than its components, yet still preserving the essence of individuality. After multiple layers of grey and black titanium fuse together, it is hammered and rolled to set the crystal structure. The metal is then twisted and shaped to showcase the different layers, patterns and metals in unique fashion. Due to this process no two rings are ever the same.

® Vitalium® is a patent pending composition material that is formulated to achieve a brilliant and white color close to white gold and platinum. Vitalium® is a cobalt based material that is stronger than most other metals and very scratch resistant.

Vitalium® bands rate between 56-62 on the Rockwell Hardness C Scale. This material is rated two times harder than Cobalt, three times harder than grade 5 Titanium (6AI-4V), six times harder than Platinum, seven times harder than Gold, and nine times harder than Silver.

This contemporary metal is hypoallergenic and will not oxide, tarnish, or change colors.

•

Vitalium® is engraveable with either a diamond tip or laser.

•

Vitalium® bands can be removed quickly and safely without the use of specialty ring saws, unlike other alternative metal bands which require a high speed, high heat, abrasive cutting blade (i.e. diamond blade).

Lifetime Sizing Information Chisel ® provides a lifetime sizing policy for bands in this catalog. Jewelers may exchange Chisel ® bands as many times as needed for the lifetime of the band. Deductible applies each time the band is returned for an exchange and deductibles are listed below. Quality Gold has the right to refuse to replace the band if it has been altered in any way. Engraving, soldering, sizing, polishing, ultrasonic cleaning, steaming, breakage or other obvious signs of abuse to the band will void the guarantee and no credit will be given. This policy is for lifetime sizing and replacement purposes only. Bands will be exchanged for the exact band being returned unless the style is no longer available. In the case your band cannot be exchanged due to market availability, Quality Gold will exchange it for a band that closely matches the original.

Ceramic bands are designed to be durable and long lasting. This does not mean they will never exhibit wear and tear at some point. Titanium and Stainless Steel are softer metals and they will scratch and show signs of wear with time. This wear is not a defect in manufacturing. Size exchanges are free for unworn bands within 30 days of purchase under our normal return policy, shipping charges will apply. Any band that shows signs of wear and cannot be restocked as new will be charged the deductible. Any item that has a manufacturing defect will be exchanged at any time. To execute the exchange, return the band and appropriate deductible amount to Quality Gold.
