From 2017 this corner of beauty and energy will be open in every season of the year, thanks to a spectacular glass roofing system that fits in harmoniously with the wonderful landscape and our gardens. It’s a unique opportunity to get back in shape with the help of our innovative and exclusive treatments. Where to begin? How about our extraordinary Detox, Weight Loss, Anti-Aging and Sport “formulas”, made even more effective when combined with the regenerating and purifying power of our thalassotherapy. Or our highly professional medical team, which has devised a series of programs and therapies aimed at relieving the main osteoarticular conditions, and helping guests regain a youthful appearance and a surprising amount of suppleness. Being able to enjoy our SPA all year round means enjoying the happiness of a holiday at Forte Village as a couple or with your family all year round. But what is it that always makes us so special? It’s a combination of factors: our perfect location, where the mountains behind us shield us from the cold north winds and give us three hundred days of sunshine a year. Then there are our exceptionally elegant hotels, and here I’d like to welcome you to the refurbished splendour of Villa del Parco directly connected to the SPA. Enjoy the wonderful cuisine at the Belvedere Restaurant that pays tribute to the best traditional Italian food with a light twist. And, of course, sport, and one thing I am particularly proud of: our Tennis Club with thirteen tennis courts. But we haven’t forgotten about our most beloved guests: children. For them there’s a splendid mini-club where they can spend their days having fun, fun and more fun, while parents relax in the SPA perhaps. From the Mediterranean Sea, the best of life The history of Acquaforte Thalasso&SPA dates back years and millennia. Millennia because the Ancient Romans, as seen in the splendid town of Nora just a few minutes away from Forte Village, already knew about the benefits of thermal baths by the sea. And years, because twenty-five years ago the medical team led by Dr Angelo Cerina, revolutionised the world of thalassotherapy, creating a totally original and extraordinarily effective method for detoxing, rejuvenating and improving the body. Complementing the effectiveness of the thalassotherapy course is a series of draining massages in high saline density water, as well as the daily application of sea mud, the heavenly legs circuit to stimulate microcirculation, not to mention yoga lessons and personal trainer sessions. 1. Thalassotherapy at Acquaforte Thalasso&SPA Detox, regenerate, enhance
Acquaforte Thalasso&SPA thalassotherapy is based on the revolutionary principle of bathing in sea water at different temperatures and at different saline densities. It is an extroardinary way to detox and regenerate the body, boosting its purification processes and cell rejuvination. Set in a wonderful garden, the thalassotherapy course consists of six pure sea water pools, with water drawn from one hundred metres beyond the from the shoreline at a depth of ten metres. The first three pools - at a high temperature and with a high saline concentration - have an extraordinary detox effect. The final three - with a lower saline concentration and at lower temperatures - round off the regenerating program, stabilising the exchanges between the body and the mineral salts.

Temperature: 37°-38° Draining, muscle-relaxing and energising action The very high concentration of magnesium salt allows the body to float, performing a draining and anti-inflammatory action and delightfully relaxing the muscles. The high temperature of the water has vasodilatory effect; when combined with the high saline density, it increases metabolic exchanges by osmosis, thereby aiding the draining and detox effect.
2nd sea oil or brine pool with aloe and mint
Temperature: 37°- 38° Stimulates the production of endorphins. In this pool, thalassotherapy and phytotherapy join forces: sea oil is mixed with refreshing mint and aloe vera, appreciated for centuries for its therapeutic properties for the skin. The combination of phytotherapeutic elements and magnesium salt provides extraordinary results in terms of skin conditions (psoriasis). The first and second pools also have a stimulating and gratifying effect, thanks to the production of endorphins.
3rd high saline density pool
Temperature: 37°-38° Complements the exchanges between the sea and body. Thanks to osmosis, a dip in this sodium-rich pool increases the exchanges between the sea water and the body, eliminating toxins, introducing mineral-rich sea salt and continuing to relax the muscles. Furthermore, the high water temperature is also incredibly relaxing for the body and mind, turning the pool into a place of silent enchantment, where you can discover all the wellbeing of one of the most original and exclusive Acquaforte Thalasso&SPA massages.

Temperature: 37-38° Toning and sensory action This high temperature, pure sea water pool features whirlpools that stimulate microcirculation from the soles of the feet to the abdominal muscles and the back. The movement and water pressure vigorously and sensorially stimulate various areas of the body, complementing the muscle-relaxing effect of the previous pools.

Temperature: 30-32° Gentle reaction and vasoconstrictor action A dip in this pure sea water pool - at a lower temperature than previous pools - stimulates vasoconstriction of the microcirculation and veins, and, after the vasodilation of the previous pools at warmer temperatures, triggers gentle vascular exercise, complemented by the effect of the whirlpools.

Temperature: 25°-27° High-impact reaction completing vasoconstriction This spectacularly sized pool with pure sea water at a lower temperature is the perfect end to vascular exercise and the toning action all over the body, thanks to its remarkable vasoconstrictor action. The resistance swimming lane and the variety of whirlpools set in the pool’s bays instil a wonderful feeling of lightness and energy.

Heavenly legs. The latest Kneipp therapy course A walk through sea water, divided into a series of stages with different saline densities and decreasing temperatures, from 34° to 10°C. It is ideal for toning the legs and working on vascular diseases, with its extraordinary anti-edema action. The result: lighter, more toned, more seductive legs.
Natural sea salt exfoliation In the fragrant steam of the Turkish bath, a salt-based scrub removes toxins and dead cells from the skin, draining excess liquid, and preparing the body to receive the benefits of thalassotherapy and the sun.

Under the guidance of an extraordinary and close-knit team of athletics trainers, sports doctors, massage therapists, osteopaths, chiropractors and nutritionists, the Performance Center provides the most accurate analysis of every medical condition. Abhyangha This is the “crowning” massage of Ayurvedic medicine. Hands glide over the body and envelop it in the warmth of oil perfumed with aromatic Indian essences, spices and medicinal plants. Angelo Cerina
Doctor Angelo Cerina - the inventor of Acquaforte SPA’s thalassotherapy method, which has revolutionised thalassotherapy across Europe - is our medical team’s lynchpin and a surgeon who specialised in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, before becoming a sports doctor. For many years he was also director of the clinical headquarters and experimental thalassotherapy centre at the University of Milan.
Pierfrancesco Parra
Known as Doctor Laser, Pier Francesco Parra has developed an innovative laser therapy to treat muscle-tendon disorders, earning him the trust of patients from all over the world, including the great tennis champions.
Amira Bodareva
A graduate in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Kharkov in Ukraine, Amira Bodareva specialises in reconstructive surgery, microsurgery and cosmetic medicine in Russia and Italy. She has been Cosmetic Surgeon at the “Villa Stuart� clinic for many years now.
