CHELSEA FOOTBALL The extraordinary Chelsea Football Club Soccer School offers basic summer football courses lasting one week focusing on teamwork tactics and individual techniques, and specific courses for goalkeepers, strikers, defenders and midfielders. When you enrol at the football school, you’ll be given our fantastic kit. Want to show off your custom-made shirt? TENNIS STAR Let’s start with the clay courts, twelve of them in fact, and a brand new Club House. And now we head to the net with some of the world’s ‘heavy hitters’, coordinated by Rocco Loccisano, who trained Pat Cash. Courses for all ages, junior and senior, with specialisations when it comes to techniques for competition and single strokes, analysed by a sophisticated video system. Our guest stars are Ilie Nastase and Jonas Bjorkamn.

Just 10 minutes from the resort, play the 27-hole Is Molas course, one of the most famous courses in Europe and an official site for the Italian International Open. It is surrounded by some of Sardinia’s best scenery, with the Mediterranean sea and scrub. And, also available, a private shuttle to transport you to this corner of paradise.

MARVIN’S MAGIC ACADEMY The world’s first magic academy at a resort. Unveiling the tricks, from the simple yet surprising to the most complex, is well-known illusionist Marvin Berglas. The course is dedicated to both aspiring young magicians and their older brothers, as well as their parents. Every day a different trick (or you can just take part for one day if your like), and over a week you will have learned enough to astonish friends and guests.

GO-KART Revved up excitement for engine-lovers and speed-demons. The PGK Academy stops off at the Forte Village go-kart track, 0.5 km long. Directed by Paolo Gagliardini, former Italian and European 125 champion. GOURMET An overwhelming menu that is something special, full of surprises and ever changing. These are the gastronomic riches of Forte Village. Restaurants of every style from buffets to gourmet, from Italian, Sardinian and international cuisine, to Celebrity Chef nights with Michelin starred chefs.

Raise your hand if you know of any gastronomic tradition that is richer, more creative, older, more current or more healthy than Italian cuisine. And it is to this cultural heritage, unique in the world - the Mediterranean diet is on the UNESCO World Heritage List after all - that Forte Village dedicates three of its restaurants. This makes for a “cultural heritage” of more than 150 dishes. We’ll start from the top, location-wise, on the terrace of the Belvedere, the kingdom of chef Antonello Arrus. Then we head down to the garden, and the rich buffet of the Cavalieri where Efisio Mocci creates an extravagant array of dishes, freshly prepared each evening. Just a few steps and we can enjoy the casual elegance of Le Dune restaurant, ruled over by Andrea Putzu and his exquisite fresh fish dishes.

ALFONS SCHUHBECK Well-being is flavoured with ginger, cardamom, pepper and chilli pepper. In this magnificent restaurant on the seafront, Michelinstarred chef Alfons Schuhbeck offers you his ancient and innovative Spice for Life cuisine, based around spices and well-being. While travelling, Schuhbeck studied the benefits of aromatic herbs coming from the Far East, Africa and Europe. And around each spice he’s created not just a special dish, but an entire culinary philosophy.

DINNER AT GORDON RAMSAY’S If only the best will do and you love to discover new flavours, if you’re a gourmet in every area of your life, but particularly in the kitchen, then welcome to paradise. Only at Forte Village can you find a choice of fantastic restaurants that, each evening, celebrate the best international gastronomic traditions. Do we need to introduce Gordon Ramsay, his countless Michelin stars, his creativity, his charisma... or do you already know all this? Perhaps you don’t know that in his restaurant, Ramsay, which boasts a spectacular sea view, he has created exclusive menus just for you in collaboration with the great Alessandro Cocco.

A WORLD OF FLAVOURS We’re off, and dinner turns into a voyage of discovery, in search of the world’s greatest gastronomic traditions. We start at our Sardo Restaurant, which interprets one of Italy’s most original traditions. A meat-lover? Don’t miss the Brasiliano Restaurant and its extraordinary grilled meats, with sides of potato and caramelised pineapple. Then it’s on to Argentina and Ireland to taste the best rib-eye steak at the Torre Grill.

Taking care of yourself with spices Do you want to start to navigate the rich world of Alfons Schuhbeck? Here’s a brief guide to spices and their extraordinary properties: Anise: Aids digestion, calms the stomach and has significant anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antioxidant properties. Basil: Eliminates free radicals, it is rich in antioxidants and has some antispasmodic effects on the gastrointestinal track. Cardamom:Aids digestion and combats nausea, acidity, bloating, lack of appetite, constipation, and mouth and throat infections. Chilli pepper: Helps in cases of stomach ache, an irritated throat, ulcers and dysentery. Facilitates digestion, increases the production of enzymes, and stimulates the absorption and elimination of foods. Thins the blood and helps guard against heart attacks and strokes. Chervil: Clears the mucous membrane to prevent colds and bronchitis. As a diuretic, it has anti-inflammatory properties and helps in the treatment of cystitis. Reduces the signs of ageing and rejuvenates the skin. Cumin: Containing many vitamins, it is important for the proper working of the immune system. Turmeric: Thanks to its anti-inflammatory properties, it offers relief from arthritis. In case of rheumatoid arthritis or osteoporosis, replace your morning coffee with a cup of turmeric tea. Curry: Reduces cholesterol and stimulates liver and pancreatic function. Fennel: Calms an irritated intestine and is a known diuretic. Ginger: Reduces cholesterol and the levels of sugar in the blood, it thins the blood and strengthens the cardiovascular system.

To cook with style means to seduce. And so why not learn the masterpieces of Italian and international cookery together with the extraordinary chefs of Forte Village? Our Gourmet Cooking Academy, in the heart of Forte Gourmet, was created for this very reason, to create an entire menu during a week-long course or to learn more about one particular dish each day. So what’s on the menu? Everything from tomato sauce, an Italian staple, to ravioli, fish (including sushi), pizza, all the way to biscuits, not forgetting the vegetarian and vegan worlds.

A MONTH WITH CARLO CRACCO Sardinia, what taste! Irresistible. And impossible. In the sense that you can’t resist the temptation to bring a gastronomic treat home from Sardinia. In our store, you’ll find only the best, from ‘fregola’ to carasau bread, from fish eggs, to salt with lemon and chilli powder, and then honeys and prickly pear jams, as well as apples and figs. And don’t forget a bottle of Limoncello, Mirti or Filu Ferro of course.

Carlo Cracco, a two-star Michelin chef and TV personality featuring on MasterChef and the Italian edition of Hell’s Kitchen, as well as the author of numerous best sellers, will spend the month of August at the Forte Village. And we can assure you that it will be a really ‘hot’ month. The programme includes extraordinary gourmet evenings in the beautiful surroundings of the Forte Gourmet and Hell’s Kitchen restaurant, during the afternoon, a series of special ‘themed’ cookery lessons.
