HOLIDAYS as varied as you
Immerse yourself
in the colours and cultures of each captivating island...
Experience the good life and enjoy a blend of discovery, relaxation and exceptional service with a Caribbean cruise holiday. Enjoy dynamic destinations that offer so much more than winter sun or beach-based breaks. The Caribbean epitomises idyllic holidays: white sand, crystal-clear waters, swaying palm trees. But there’s plenty more to see beyond the blissful beachfronts. On your Caribbean cruise you can hike to a volcanic summit, dance to a vibrant street parade, visit the last surviving community of Carib Indians… On a P&O Cruises holiday, you can get to the heart of each colourful island.
Fly to the sunshine in no time
In around 8 and a half hours, you will find yourself in paradise, sipping a mojito in the sun and embarking on a Caribbean adventure. On a chartered flight, once you have checked in your luggage at the airport, we’ll handle everything from there.
Breathtaking beaches
Life doesn’t get much better than when you’re relaxing on the beach with a warm ocean breeze on your skin and the sea lapping at your toes. Arriving in the Caribbean, the first thing you should do is take a deep breath. Close your eyes and picture the perfect beach, and you’ll likely conjure an image of ultramarine waters lapping powdersoft white sand.
Caribbean food
Conch chowder, fried jackfish, tania fritters, soursop ice cream and, of course, rum punch: exotic flavours abound in the Caribbean, and few parts of the world can match it. Found all along North America’s Atlantic seaboard, chowder is somewhere between a soup and a stew. Get a taste of island life with local dishes that’ll tickle your tastebuds.

The city of festivals
Jazz & Blues Festival – July
July swings into action with the Jazz & Blues festival, kicking off with a Mardi Gras event in the Grassmarket. It’s the biggest and best jazz celebration in the country, and whether you like trad, swing, mainstream or the latest in avant garde grooves, you’ll find your feet tapping here
Fringe Festival – August
The Fringe festival started in the very same year as the International festival when eight smaller theatrical companies who weren’t part of the official International festival programme turned up and performed in smaller venues. This freewheeling, anything-goes attitude turned the Fringe into the world’s largest arts festival. All you need to do is wander the streets, pop into a café or bar and you’ll soon be tempted by more incredible shows than you could ever hope to see in one lifetime.
The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo
The Tattoo is another summer mustsee. Set against the spectacular backdrop of a floodlit Edinburgh Castle, almost a thousand musicians, pipers, drummers, singers and dancers from around the globe perform on the esplanade. This unforgettable spectacle is brought to an emotional and poignant close each evening as a lone piper, high on the castle ramparts, plays a haunting lament, followed by a wonderful fireworks display.

Dublin Ireland’s Medieval Capital
Dublin; an incredibly picturesque, medieval city, with a mix of heritage and hedonism that will not disappoint...
This gorgeous capital is framed by stunning mountains, centred on a river and edged by a beautiful bay. The city’s streets and alleys are filled with vibrant art and historic buildings, hip cafés and traditional “old man” pubs, as Dubliners like to call them.
Walking the streets of Dublin, you will feel the energy of over 1,000 years of history, as echoes of the Vikings mixed with buzzing boutiques, cobbled streets reverberate with the sounds of buskers, and 18th-century parks play host to festivals, film and food markets.
Dublin is also a UNESCO City of Literature, a historic powerhouse and a super-cool capital that’s been named one of Europe’s friendliest.
Running in the days leading up to June 16th, the Bloomsday Festival is a rich experience for anyone with a love of literature. Especially, James Joyce’s iconic Ulysses. Not to be confused with Bloomsday, which is Bloom, Ireland’s largest garden festival. Showcasing the best in food and landscaping, this festival is held every June at Phoenix Park.

Tenerife is the largest of the Canary Islands, off West Africa. This stunning island is dominated by Mt. Teide - a dormant volcano, that is Spain's tallest peak. Calling all adventure enthusiasts
The sparkling Mediterranean-Sea offers a tranquil environment for snorkelling, kayaking and swimming; whilst the topographical island landscape encourages rock-climbing, mountain-biking and horse-rising. The Maltese Islands were awarded second place in the ‘Best Dive Destination’ in the world category at the Diver Awards in 2018. Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines
stand up for the smaller ship experience because they know that is what their guests would rather choose: an experience that makes the most of the beauty of the journey and the nature and culture of the destinations along the way. An experience that’s elegant and relaxed.
SMALLER is better
Never sailing with more than 1,360 guests on board, each ship has been elegantly designed and they all look and feel like ships (not hotels or holiday resorts); with wide open deck spaces as well as lounges and restaurants which have been meticulously planned to ensure you have a wonderful experience.
With fewer guests, the crew can really get to know you and what you like. And the atmosphere on board is always warm and friendly.
The joy of the JOURNEY
Experiences on board are designed so you can learn more about the nature and culture of destinations - bringing the hidden gems of the destinations to life as well as the highlights, so you can get more out of your time ashore.
IMAGINATIVE and unusual ITINERARIES

Follow in the footsteps of Phileas Fogg as they sail around the world in 80 days, or join them as they arrive at the perfect time to watch the fascinating bird migration cross the Straits of Gibraltar. And the Captains will always navigate to show you local wildlife or beautiful scenery along the way.
Fred. Olsen’s Norwegian heritage and knowledge of the beautiful coastline also means no one can show you the fjords quite like they can.
SIGNATURE experiences
Fred. Olsen have designed new signature experiences, which you will find on every one of their sailings.
Each experience has been created to encapsulate what they think is special about the way they cruise, and to make sure that those who love to travel get the most out of their journey and the destinations they visit.

VENICE
A Beautiful City Surrounded by Water
Venice is an enchanting, romantic city that is built on more than 100 small islands. Its stunning! with an undercurrent of mystery and drama, and while the Venice Carnival is only once a year, its mood is present year-round. At the Grand Canal you’ll see a hive of activity, with gondoliers serenading the passengers in their boats and water buses on hand to transfer you to the other side. Along the winding streets, you’ll find stylish cafés and gelaterias, souvenir shops and small businesses as well as Renaissance palaces and Gothic churches. After you’ve climbed St. Mark’s Campanile and visited the Gallerie dell Accademia, stroll through the surrounding neighbourhoods, where locals eat cicchetti and drink their vino in unfussy bars and restaurants.
Venice is a great year-round destination. From April to October, daytime temperatures average above sixteen degrees Celsius, with the highest temperatures in July and August, when it can reach thirty degrees Celsius. But, don’t worry there’s a lovely breeze that sweeps inland from the sea to keep you cool during these hotter months.
On a summer day you can expect it to cool down in the evening and in the spring and autumn the temperature can even drop below 10 degrees Celsius at night. A warm cardigan or good jacket is a must when packing to go out in the evenings.
You can book your Venice escape with our Travel Bournemouth Airport specialists. It’s a must-see destination so, why not to explore this beautiful city surrounded by water in 2023?
