Chris Lavish
From his roots as a New York model, to now a Global Digital Director for Fashion Week Online meet Chris Lavish our featured street wear/style influencer. Lavish has pushed the barriers of what the fashion world has seen. He currently lives in NYC and travels frequently to cover different fashion weeks around the world such as London, Milan, Paris and Copenhagen for FashionWeekOnline along with other various companies. Born and raised with a New York mentality he believes 100% in himself and never takes a day off. His attitude in demeanor is felt when he walks into a room and is respected by everyone in his field. He is constantly looking for upcoming brands to support with his network and digital direction. FOTR: Explain to our readers what it’s like and what is a Lavish Influencer? Chris: I would consider myself more of a Lavish fashion enthusiast rather than influencer. There are many perks in doing what I do such as traveling the world meeting new people that share my vision and essentially living life to the fullest. The other part that most people don’t see are the hours days months and years of work I’ve put in to get to where im at. If someone would have told me it was going to take this amount of work and effort I honestly would have had second thoughts about doing it.. FOTR: Can you describe a typical Lavish day? Chris: First thing on my check list is a good solid work out early at around 6am. I sleep in gym clothes to make waking up easier. Then I get back home stretch, shower, get ready and answer immediate emails on my laptop. After that its time to jump into meetings and visits throughout the day until night time. Then when I get home I answer more emails and send out around 200 texts to clients and potential clients. This lasts until around midnight then I sleep till 5:30ish and repeat it all over.. FOTR: Who are your favorite designers and your inspiration? Chris: My 3 favorite designers are Jil Sander, Damir Doma and Ann Demeulemeester Most of my inspiration comes from nature along with the aesthetic of color coordination and color blocking. The Lavish style is something that has been built over the years from the accumulation of fashion weeks and international travels. FOTR: What Fashion accessories you can’t live without? Chris: There has not been one day that I have left my condo without my sunglasses and rings. FOTR: Can you give us a trendsetter recap of men’s fashion week SS 2020? Chris: There was a lot of oversized pastel pieces shown at the runways and all over print button-ups walking into the shows. The fat sole shoe trend is still in full effect and Burberry is standing strong at London FW Mens with the street style strong arm. FOTR: What are the hottest trend happening this year fall 2019? Chris: The focus of most peoples outfits have been their jewelry! Rings and chains have took over the fashion scene alone with “ Oakley “ style sunglasses. It compliments the dad shoe trend from last year. Oversized clothes are in full effect for the street style crowd. continued... FOTR Magazine

Chris: There was 2 that caught my eye this season and that was Alexander McQueen during LFW Mens and a direct invite from Margiela for John Galliano’s Green Carpet Collection during PFW.

GLOBAL STREET WEAR
St reetwear Nation What does streetwear mean to you? A writer from Inverse Culture states, “Streetwear fashion is contemporary, usually casual clothing that is worn by urban youth subcultures. That definition is vague as streetwear is an all-encompassing umbrella of styles & themes - similar in vein as the hip-hop genre is to music”. That being said, have you ever wondered how street style looks around the world? What are the cultural influences and similarities the street wear nation have in common? In order to capture the art, fashion, lifestyle and the culture of streetwear we have partnered with photographers from around the globe to get their perspective on street wear through their images. From China, Tokyo, Europe and the U.S. we have you covered. .

FEATURED BRAND This months featured brand is the brainchild of 9year old JJ Dickson from Houston, TX. The IF Legends (International Fashion) brand is comprised of collective ideas and thoughts that derived from the fashion legends and folklores. Jeremy ‘JJ’ Dickson and his classmate, Christian Tan, from Wharton Elementary School in Houston, TX were charged with creating a business as a class project. Together they created a company called IF Gaming. IF Gaming was derived from their favorite game ROBLOX. The ‘I’ stands for Ice and ‘F’ is for Foudan which is Christian and Jeremy’s ROBLOX usernames, respectively. JJ, his love for eclectic fashion and a little motivation from designer Travis Hamilton, has taken the name to further heights with IF Legends. The graffiti and abstract art pieces designed by JJ Dickson are street wear styles ready for any school year.
