Bereavements

We regretfully announce the passing of the following NZMCA members. Our sincere condolences go to their families and friends at this time.

CHILES, Wilbur #20740 Wellington It is with sadness we acknowledge the passing of Wilbur; husband of Judy, very proud Dad to a blended family, beloved grandad and great grandad. Wilbur and Judy began their motorhome journey with the NZMCA nearly 20 years ago and enjoyed running the odd ‘never to be adventures. and was ready to help at the drop of a hat. Wilbur was well known in speedway as King running in his veins. Wilbur and Judy made some lovely friends during their membership and enjoyed travelling to places they would not have seen otherwise. He passed away surrounded by his family on the 18th of January and will be sadly missed. Diane & Graham Robertson #21398

Wellington the her involvement and later teamed up with at club events, which they took in good humour. she was warm, easy to talk to, welcoming and members. joining several safaris with the club. Members in a mock court when she had made a silly comment, and then stand up at happy hour and take her punishment with a laugh. On both entering and leaving the South a hairdresser wherever they travelled. She liked how rough the road they travelled. out at other large rallies Wellington managed. She always supported Denzil in the roles he deserved honour.

Wellington We recently lost a very good friend, Sue May, a friend for more than 40 years. We spent a week in January travelling around the Lower North Island with John and Sue Christmas period. Sadly, Sue collapsed the night we returned home. She was taken to hospital and passed together. the South Island for two months in March. We without Sue (and her delicious cooking). Sue worked in rest homes with the elderly, a June last year and was looking forward to a long worked. friendship on the road as well. the Wellington area and a term on the Area where she could, and was very good with any older people that needed help at the rallies. We miss Sue terribly.

Ian sadly passed away on the 27th March 2022, survived by his loving wife Mary Connors. playing at many rallies and gatherings, Ian was as he was very clever with his hands he helped many people with their motorhome problems. Ian and Mary ran several safaris throughout the Ian will be sadly missed by all who knew him, especially the Central Freewheelers
