A Word from the CEO

Our family has been building boats at the Rosättra Boatyard since 1948. We are the third generation to carry the tradition forward, it is something we are immensely proud of, and we are looking forward to continuing to develop the yard and stay innovative.

We are approaching the future embracing the same mantra we have had since the beginning: keeping it simple and safe. These core values permeate both the development of the boats and how we move forward as a company. We see it as an advantage that everything is managed inhouse, especially as we are so close to our customers and the realisation of their dreams. Our grandfather always used to say that the reason we build such great boats is because we have such great customers. We did not understand it back then, but we do now – and we are always there for our customers, old and new. We look forward to creating the boat of your dreams together with you.

Classic Lines, Modern Solutions

Running aground in 8 knots is usually synonymous with a visit to the boatyard, and some pretty extensive repairs, not fun a box to tick off on the “to do list” during a test sail – but then again, the Linjett 43 is no ordinary yacht, despite her classic appearance. The Linjett 43 is where innovation and modern technology meets solid craftsmanship. Practical and clever solutions, like the retractable and crash-proof keel, creates security without compromising on performance. Yes, you can have it all in the same yacht.

Looks can be Deceiving

With her smooth, elegant lines and classical proportions the Linjett 43 is a wolf in sheep’s clothing, with the latest technology, clever solutions, and enough speed in her to leave most other yachts behind. Step on board the most beautiful yacht in the harbour and experience the pure joy of sailing.

Beautiful Lines

The relatively low freeboards of the Linjett 43 allows you to get close to the water. This in combination with the clean cockpit, where all lines can easily be controlled from the helm station, makes the boat easy to handle despite her size and creates a sense of safety and security on board.

“She is extremely well balanced, and then you have the autopilot, so even though it is quite a large yacht you have no trouble sailing her on your own. Of course, she weighs more than a small boat, and there are larger forces at play, but we have all the equipment we need to handle it on board.”

Perfectly Balanced

A boat should be easy to handle no matter the weather conditions – so that it is always in balance, and you are in total control. That is why the Linjett 43 has a flexible sail wardrobe, that can be adapted to the prevailing conditions, the crew onboard and what kind of sailing you want to do.

The mast from Seldén is keel-stepped to increase trimming possibilities and it is up to you to decide if you want a selftacking jib or a genoa, and if you prefer a regular or mast furled main sail. Want more power off the wind? We will help you navigate the world of spinnakers and code sails.

interior

Cosy Finesse

Soft rounded shapes, classic lines and high-quality craftsmanship creates a cosy environment below deck where comfort and function are key. The Linjett 43 is a boat to live in!

To allow natural light to flow into the interior the yacht has multiple large hull windows and skylights. We have utilized every nook and cranny to maximise storage on board so that every item had its own dedicated spot.

Thoughtful details

The owner’s cabin has an en-suite with a shower. There is also a separate heads for guests, accessed from the saloon. There is a choice to have recessed mirrors in the bathroom, with a frosted edge for a click-open touch. The lighting run both outside and inside the cabinets, giving bright light to all spaces.

The spacious kitchen can be customized to your needs with different fridge and freezer combinations – everything to make life on board simple and comfortable!

Playing it Safe

As an option the Linjett 43 can be delivered with a lifting keel: letting the draft to go from 2.45m to 1.95m with the push of a button, allowing you to get the best of both worlds: sailing performance and access to all hidden gems, shallow harbours, or anchoring points in the archipelago.

A lifting keel is not especially newsworthy, but we have taken it a step further and made the keel crash proof. When the keel blade is lowered, it automatically locks in through its own weight and is safe and immobile even in extreme weather conditions. Should you run aground, the impact will make the keel swing backwards and back up the drum, which absorbs enough of the boat’s moving energy to avoid damaging the yacht. The rudder has also been designed to withstand grounding: the bottom third is sacrificed in the event of a grounding, avoiding damage to the steering system, or losing the whole rudder.

Beside this the Linjett 43 also has a laminated bulkhead between the mast and chain plate, making the construction both stiff and safe.

Make it Your Own

When you order a Linjett you can configure it completely to suit your needs and preferences – your boat is unique, tailor made for you.

”We chose what boat to buy with a great deal of care. The choice fell on the Linjett 43 thanks to its many qualities, but we wanted to make her our own. That is why we changed some of the interior details, like the hatches, electrical sockets, taps, lamps, and handlebars – we got to tailor the boat exactly how we wanted to, down to the very last detail, and for that we are incredibly grateful.”

It’s All About the Details

Often the smallest details have the biggest impact, which is why we spent time thinking about every feature and how to optimise it. For example, we made the storage compartment in the bow just that little bit roomier so that it fits your code zero, and you do not have to drag it all the way back to the cockpit. Though you could if you wanted to, the shrouds are placed so that you have a clear line of passage from the bow all the way to the cockpit. It is how the lift keel is hidden in the saloon table and how the mast is hidden behind door in the owner’s cabin. How the different levels of the deck in the cockpit makes it feel safe and cosy, whilst giving the person at the helm a better overview of the boat and the horizon. It’s all about the details.

See Your Boat take Shape

When you order your Linjett you can follow the entire production process from choosing the specifications to launch. All Linjett’s yachts are made to order: we do not start production until an order has been placed. This makes every boat unique, completely adapted to the preferences of the owner. Ordering a new boat is a major decision, which is why we invite every client to be part of the journey and come to visit the yard during the production process. It is also why you will always have a personal point of contact at the yard.

boatyard

A Full-Service Yard with a Familiar Feeling

The Linjett boatyard is Sweden’s oldest, founded in 1886 by Erik Jansson, and is located an hour north of Stockholm. It was bought from Erik’s sons by the Gustafsson family in 1948. Today it is a modern boatyard managed by the third and fourth generation of the Gustafsson family.

Normally the relationship with the boatyard ends the minute you are handed the keys and set sail. You are left alone to figure out how to manage upkeep, winter storage and any potential reparations or refits – not at Linjett.

The Linjett yard is a full-service boatyard, where everything is managed in house: from development, design, plastic layup, woodwork and production to sales and aftermarket. From log to finished interior. This means that we help our clients with anything that has to do with their boat, big and small. An important service we provide is that we always welcome an owner that require service, no matter if they have a pre-owned or new yacht. To date we have never turned away an owner that required help with winter storage, and we are there for our customers during the summer season, should they require swift answers or assistance during their vacation.

The Linjett Family

Linjett is not just a yacht brand, it is also a community – with its own association. Svenska Linjettförbundet, the Swedish Linjett Association, was founded in 1989 and arrange annual regattas like the Linjett Cup and the Linjett Championship. Approximately 460 yachts, and their respective owners, are members today, which is quite impressive considering about 900 yachts total have been built.
