INTRODUCING PHILPOT FIELD

During the grand opening of the Jim Robinson Field House, Foxcroft Academy recognized Coach Gene Philpot by naming the turf fi eld and regulation fi eld hockey fi eld in her honor. By honoring Coach Philpot, we were not only celebrating her success during a 35 year coaching and teaching career, we were also recognizing the important contributions she made as a long-time teacher and mentor. Former students and players use words like “integrity,” “fairness,” and “perseverance” to describe some of the lessons learned from Ms. Philpot over the years, and as those of you who know and perhaps worked with her, no one is more deserving of this distinguished honor.
