birthday.
You will also have an opportunity to celebrate the Bicentennial! Copies of our bicentennial book “We all Assemble,” can be purchased at Foxcroft Academy or on-line through Amazon. Read through the pages, admire the pictures and paintings, and enjoy memories from contributors, among others, Kristen Stelmok ’95, Kevin Stitham ’70, Dave Mallett ’69, and Tom Lyford ’64. The public will be invited to an upcoming show featuring Mike Dugay and his production of “The Life and Times of Sir Harry Oakes.” FA students will be presenting projects on Foxcroft Academy’s history on January 26, 2023, followed by a spectacular fi reworks display from the island. On Tuesday, January 31, 2023, we will be hosting a school-wide assembly celebrating the offi cial birthday of Foxcroft Academy. The general public and local dignitaries will be invited to attend. And last but not least, coming to campus next summer, we will gather for a celebration of Foxcroft Academy’s history through music with a dinner/dance gala. Don’t miss any of these upcoming bicentennial events by staying informed through our social media platforms and by keeping up-to-date with Cathy Hall’s latest edition of the Pony Express e-news.
Finally I want to share news with you about the recent birth of our granddaughter, Quinn Olivia Shorey. As you can imagine, we are ecstatic about having our fi rst grandchild (and it’s about time)! It was a pleasant reminder about the number of very personal events we have experienced over the past thirteen years, and it reminds Stacy and me of how grateful we are to be part of this community. I thank you for your support of Foxcroft Academy and I look forward to celebrating Foxcroft Academy’s Bicentennial with you and your family.

FROM OUR DIRECTOR OF ALUMNI AFFAIRS
IT’S HARD TO believe another year has come and gone and now we are looking at 2023!
This year was jam-packed with alumni events, grand openings, reunions and great fund-raising success stories. I think the highlight was the opening of our Jim Robinson Field House, one of the most impressive facilities in the state of Maine, and I was proud to be a part of this successful Building on Tradition campaign.
This year promises to be a busy one with many upcoming regional alumni gatherings. Here are the tentative dates and locations: • Bangor/November 15 • Boston/December 3 • Lakeland, FL/February 19 Cathy Hall • Portland, ME/April 6 If you don’t receive your invitation and would like to attend, just let me know and I can add your name to the reservation list. I hope to be in attendance at all of them and I look forward to catching up with old friends, and meeting some new alumni!
