REMEMBERING BILL BISBEE

FORMER FOXCROFT ACADEMY Trustee, Bill Bisbee passed away on November 8, 2021. A long-time fi xture on the sideline at FA football games, Bill was always ready and willing to share his extensive medical knowledge and expertise with our Pony athletic teams.

A memorial scholarship was set up in Bill’s name for students interested in pursuing a career in the medical or health care fi elds. This past June, the fi rst Bisbee Scholarship was awarded to Connor Plante, who is attending Husson University and majoring in exercise science. If you would like to make a gift in remembrance of Bill, simply mail a check to Foxcroft Academy, 975 W. Main St., Dover-Foxcroft, ME 04426, to the attention of Cathy Hall.

FA FOOTBALL TEAM REMEMBERS WILLIAM HATHAWAY, CLASS OF 1975

In honor of William “Will” Hathaway who passed away on December 23, 2021, the Foxcroft Academy football program recently purchased a two-man blocking sled with funds donated in Will’s memory. A former starting off ensive tackle on the Pony football team, Will is fondly remembered by his former teammates and coaches.

Will was the son of the late Arthur and Joan Hathaway. His stepmother, Donna Libby Hathaway ’66, his brother John Hathaway ’75, and stepsisters Sue Hathaway Karleskint ’89, and Nancy Hathaway Seavey ’90 are also graduates of Foxcroft Academy.

After graduating from FA, Will received an Associate of Science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Maine. He worked for many years as an electrical designer for Stone & Webster in an offi ce in Boston, MA. After working in Boston, Will moved back to Maine (Newport) and began working for Kleinschmidt Associates. Some of his jobs and responsibilities included designing an electrical system for several hydroelectric dams, as well as helping to implement a netting system to save migratory eels in the St. Lawrence Seaway. A private service for Will was held this past summer in Greenville.
