WHY CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS WHEN THE WORLD IS ON FIRE? Would it surprise you to know that Christmas is celebrated in China? Streets and stores in the biggest cities are decorated with lights, Christmas trees, Santa, and his sisters (not elves). Christmas carols are sung. Gifts are given. Those younger often give a “peace” apple to their friends. Wrapped in cellophane the apple comes with a printed message: “love”, “peace”, “Merry Christmas,” and a blessing for a safe and peaceful year ahead. Christmas in China is not a national holiday. It’s not, for most, a religious celebration. There is a large and growing Christian presence in China. Many believe they may number as much as 150,000,000. In our country, and in our homes, we are entering the most anticipated time of the year, the season of Christmas (for some it is the most difficult time of the year). In years past most, almost all, understood the significance of Christmas. Not anymore. Fewer now stop to ask, “What really happened in Bethlehem 2000 years ago?” Still, even those who know little or nothing about Jesus look forward to the three or four weeks in December when those they meet are kinder, more thoughtful, more hopeful. Rivalries soften, desserts sweeten, retail sales grow, selfishness momentarily takes a step back. Many of us feel more compassionate, more concerned about those less fortunate. Sadly, in the back of our minds, we know January is on its way, and with it a return to the attitudes and tribalism that dominate most of our year.
This year there is an unwanted heaviness as we prepare to decorate our trees and hang our stockings. We are still reeling from the violence unleashed by Hamas on Israel, and now the long and costly siege of Gaza City. I imagine those in December 1941 felt a heaviness too. Some may be asking, “Why celebrate Christmas when the world is on fire?” I respond, the world is always “on fire.” There is always, every December, every month and day, some tragedy, some injustice, some despicable act, somewhere, many somewheres. It was that way the first Christmas too. Herod “sent and killed all male children in Bethlehem... two years old and younger.” Evil cannot celebrate the birth of Jesus. But we can. It is not only appropriate, but essential, that we celebrate Christmas when the world is on fire. Jesus is the only hope we have, the only hope the world has ever had, or will ever have. As we celebrate the birth of Jesus, and God’s decision to come and rescue us from all that is wrong, all that smells of death, we join with Christians here at Grace of Christ, and Christians around the world, and declare that the light, love and power of Jesus is stronger than the evil and hatred in Gaza, in our cities, in our homes, and in our hearts. When we celebrate Christmas, we give thanks that He is with us (Emmanuel: Matthew 1). Do you hear what I hear?
A knock on a door leads to a stable, Bethlehem A star, shepherds, angels, a young couple, The Child What wonder and mystery now swaddled Who could imagine this life here, would die there? Who could offer such love, such joy, such peace? Power set aside... for us... taken up again. ~ CMF 2

Pastor PASTOR NOMINATING COMMITTEE
Beginning in November of 2023 the nominating committee here at Grace will begin receiving names for the upcoming Pastor Search Team. This team of likely 7-9 members from the church will begin its work in January. They will pray. They will put together information about the church. They will ask for input from the session of the church, and from each member of the church. (In December, you will be invited to fill out an easy-to-complete survey on the priorities you have for the next pastor.) They will begin contacting individuals, and organizations, seeking someone who might be good for us and for Yakima. They will work through applications, make phone calls, take trips, fly candidates in, participate in virtual interviews, in-person interviews, check references, communicate where they are in the process with the session and with you, prayerfully arrive at a decision, extend an invitation to the best candidate, and continue to pray. It is a rigorous process. It’s a difficult process. I equate it with “speed-dating.” Candidates sometimes only reveal the best parts of themselves. Some churches do that too. There are no guarantees even when the Pastor Search team does its job well. This team will pray... and we will pray too, we must pray. If you have any questions or comments please contact the church office, one of the pastors, staff members, elders, or a member of the nominating committee.
THE WORLD’S LAST NIGHT
With Israel in the news, I have had several conversations about end times prophesy. I welcome these conversations. I have been offered books, articles, links to sermons and teachings. Some of these I have found to be helpful, informational, and biblically sound. What is certain is that Jesus will return one day, in dramatic fashion. When He does, He will set all things right. I’m reprinting here an excerpt from an article by C.S. Lewis that I included in an earlier “Grace Alive” edition.
FROM C.S. LEWIS: “The World’s Last Night”
“The doctrine of the Second Coming teaches us that we do not and cannot know when the world drama will end. The curtain may be rung down at any moment: say, before you have finished reading this paragraph. This seems to some people intolerably frustrating …
But we think thus because we keep on assuming that we know the play. We do not know the play. We do not even know whether we are in Act I or Act V. We do not know who are the major and who the minor characters. The Author knows. The audience, if there is an audience (if angels and archangels and all the company of heaven fill the pit and the stalls) may have an inkling. But we, never seeing the play from outside, never meeting any characters except the tiny minority who are “on” in the same scenes as ourselves, wholly ignorant of the future and very imperfectly informed about the past, cannot tell at what moment the end ought to come. That it will come when it ought, we may be sure; but we waste our time in guessing when that will be. That it has a meaning we may be sure, but we cannot see it. When it is over, we may be told. We are led to expect that the Author will have something to say to each of us on the part that each of us has played. The playing it well is what matters infinitely.”

JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THIS SEASON AND FOREVER! For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. – Jeremiah 29:11-12 The times we are living in today may be very difficult but let us remember that there have always been difficult times, especially in the life of the early church. The church today, all over the world, also has its own challenges, but God's plans and promises are permanent and are fulfilled as He has established. We may know the plans we have for our lives; we try to plan with the wisdom and knowledge we have, but this can’t guarantee that everything will turn out well, especially when things are out of our reach and control. God is the only one who knows everything from the beginning to the end. It is for this reason that in this season, we must approach God with supplication and prayer knowing that He will listen to us, and He is always in control.
ARE YOU READY TO SERVE?
God has sent us to help and support our church and the community around us. That is why we invite you to connect with some of the ministries that our church offers like community outreach at Adams Elementary, Davis High School, or with the Trailseekers who are here at Grace on Mondays.
REMEMBER THAT: “You are the light of [Christ to] the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good deeds and moral excellence, and [recognize and honor and] glorify your Father who is in heaven.” – Matthew 5:14-16 We need your prayers and your help. If you have any questions or if you need more information about some of our different opportunities to serve, please contact the church office at 509-248-7940.

Mission Ministry Find Your Mission. Find Your Passion. WALK DOWN THE STREET
It began on one of those glorious early fall mornings that Yakima is known for. A group of ten to fifteen men and women assembled from Grace of Christ to greet and welcome Davis High School students beginning their new school year. For some students, whether first day Freshmen or a seasoned Seniors, setting foot on campus felt like a daunting venture. The school would soon fill with over 2,300 students with much to navigate. The team from Grace donned easily identifiable, bright neon green shirts as they distributed campus maps (and prayers). They readily offered friendly smiles, warm greetings, words of encouragement and guidance to those needing to find their homeroom classrooms. What began weeks ago, to welcome students back to the rigors of student life, has evolved into a life-giving ministry. Donnie Ide continued to show up well past the timetable of orientation week, and shown up he has! Yes, literally day after day, week after week, and month after month, Donnie continues his post at Davis and is making a difference.
According to Jake Kupp, one of the orientation week participants who helped spearhead the efforts, the call to this Davis ministry was generated from Davis administration due to the excellent reputation of the Grace of Christ volunteers at Adams Elementary. “Donnie is a remarkable example of building relationships and coming alongside young people,” Kupp shares. “Donnie is modeling what it means to represent Jesus.” Now, in the pre-dawn hours while the light of day has not yet arrived, Donnie stands faithfully at his outside post, strategically located near the hustle and bustle of the student parking lot and the main entrance. Neither the chill in the air, nor the dullness of the skyline will dampen Donnie’s joyful spirit. He has shown up (again) and is ready to make it a great day. He knows the students’ names; he knows their stories. He even knows the mom in the orange car who dutifully brings a group of neighborhood kids to the high school. As the mom drops off the students, a window rolls down from the car’s back passenger side. A sweet five-year-old voice says, “Good morning, Donnie!” It took some time, but after a few weeks, the teenaged occupants also added their voices to the morning greetings. When asked about his experience at Davis, Donnie says with a grin, “There is no one here (at Davis) that has been nice to me – they have been excellent to me! Both the staff and students at Davis High School.” And in a more serious tone he adds, “If I can do anything to encourage, or make a difference in even one student’s life, that’s great.”
YOU DON’T HAVE TO CROSS AN OCEAN
Whether across the globe, or across the street, the Lord may be calling you to ministry. Or, as ministry team member Don Stuber is known for saying, “You don’t have to cross an ocean to be a missionary – you just have to cross the street, cross the room, cross the aisle.” And, Grace of Christ Sunday school teacher and Davis High School football coach Joseph Leary is yet another outstanding example of putting ministry into action wherever you find yourself.
Donnie Ide joyfully greets and encourages students at David High School before class begins. 6
Leary, who grew up in Copperas Cove, Texas and played the position of safety at Copperas Cove High School committed to Rice University to play college football. Time followed and the Lord directed his path to Yakima, and subsequently his marriage to Madie Gustafson.

Mission Ministry Leary is now using his skills and expertise to serve as a volunteer football coach at Davis High School. He also is building relationships and earning the trust needed to come alongside the young men that he is coaching. In essence, a ministry has organically evolved whereby Leary is active in these young men’s lives, helping them with basic needs (meals, eye glasses, shoes, etc.), providing accountability, and serving as an excellent male role model. He is also providing a hope for the future, not only through academic support (college applications and FAFSAs) but through his faith.
MISSIONS AT GRACE... What have we been up to?
Lani Johnson visited Grace of Christ and shared updates and plans for Blessings of Hope in the Philippines.
Lani Johnson (Blessings of Hope - Philippines)
Texas native, Joseph Leary, uses his expertise to coach football at Davis High School in Yakima.
This has been a busy fall for missions at Grace of Christ. Here’s a recap. Lani Johnson, from Blessings of Hope in the Philippines, came to Yakima to visit with friends and supporters from September 13th – October 14th. While she was here, Lani talked with a ladies Bible study, an Adult Sunday school class, and the Grace youth, as well as other fellowship opportunities. Her visit included a Mission Sunday Moment for Missions Interview where she gave a brief update on past activities as well as a brief glimpse of the future at Blessings of Hope, which includes a student center and dormitory.
Mission Sunday at Grace of Christ
Then there was Mission Sunday, a celebration of what God is doing throughout the world. It was such an amazing day. Did you see the world flags that were hanging in the sanctuary? We had representatives from eight of our locally supported missions as well as representatives for five of our international missions that greeted Grace of Christ parishioners and answered questions.
Joseph Leary strives to provide help, hope and accountabilty to Davis High School students.
Did you greet or talk to someone from Sacred Road? Or did you get a chance to talk with Gerardo Mendoza, our missionary with Young Life? And did you get a chance to talk to our newly retired missionary Muriel Teusink who was representing the Project Mercy mission in Ethiopia.

David & Noni Graves prepared an authentic Indonesian meal for Wednesdays@Grace.
David & Noni Graves (JAARS - Indonesia)
Along with the other mission representatives, Mission Sunday was blessed to have not only Lani Johnson, but also JAARS missionaries to Indonesia, David & Noni Graves. The first several months of their furlough were based at the JAARS facility in North Carolina. The Graves travelled west to visit family, friends and supporters in Yakima from October 7th – mid-November, before moving onto Western Washington and California to finish out their 7-month furlough. Even though I participated in the Lani Johnson Moment for Missions Interview, I think my highlight from the day involves Bud Smith and Noni Graves. Bud occasionally attends Grace of Christ, but he himself is a retired missionary of 45 years who served in Indonesia. When he realized that Grace’s Indonesian missionaries the Graves were visiting, he took the opportunity to talk with them. First, he and David began speaking, then Bud started speaking in Indonesian, that is when David called his wife Noni over to speak with Bud too. My highlight was sitting at a table in the Garden room, watching Noni and Bud talking and joking with each other in Indonesian, joy evident on their faces. I sat there not understanding a word but knowing that two of God’s servants were talking to each other, connecting with each other in a language they shared in common because they both had chosen to follow God. An ordinary event made extraordinary because of our Extraordinary God. 8
Local and international mission representatives shared information with Grace of Christ parishioners. Did you have your own moment at Mission Sunday? If you did, wonderful! If not, maybe you had a great moment at the authentic Indonesian dinner that Noni and David Graves cooked for Wednesdays@Grace on October 18th. Here’s a picture of the cooking duo. Or did you catch up with the Christophersons when they shared at Wednesdays@Grace on October 25th after dinner? Can you recall one thing that you did not previously know about Croatia, but learned from Stan and Aimee when they shared about God’s work through the Nazarene Mission in Eurasia?
Upcomming Events
Wow, that was a busy fall for missionaries here at Grace of Christ! But the fun isn’t over. Our next missionary event is the Giving Tree for Adams Elementary students that began in November. There are many ways to support and participate! We also look forward to a visit from our friend in Egypt who will be coming home to Yakima to visit family and friends in December for two months. Don’t miss an opportunity to catch up. For further details, please reach out to Alex Rule for the Angel Tree, or to Betty Rosenkranz and Michele Elledge for Egypt. Have a wonderful fall season and a joyous Christmas!

RECAP TIME:
Wow how time flies, the end of the year is so close already! Our Fall semester was great, it was filled with all kinds of activities. In October specifically, there was a hike, Pumpkin picking, bonfire, pumpkin carving, cooking with Carolyn, the corn maze, Trunk or Treat, and we even had some gals attend the Women’s Retreat in Lake Chelan! That was encouraging and exciting. We’d love to share testimonies from a couple of the girls who attended Women’s Retreat. “My experience at the women’s retreat was great. I had a good time in worship and enjoyed listening to the speaker’s message. I did not think I was going to experience anything but during Saturday night’s worship I felt the movement of the Holy Spirit. I am glad I went and got a chance to be closer to God.” – Jaylene, High School Senior. “Attending this Women’s retreat was the best. Not only did I get to spend time with some wonderful women, plus my sister and mother, but I got to spend time with them in the presence of God. Listening to everyone’s testimonies was such a gift. Hearing about each of their lives and how God has used them to serve and find their purpose was amazing. It inspired
10
me to keep on wanting to learn more of Jesus. It was amazing to see how God spoke through Sarah and Robin. Hearing about hospitality and learning how to use our gifts to welcome more people to learn of Jesus. It’s okay to take it slow and to not worry so much about my future. Sometimes we may feel like our life or family is a mess but it’s okay. No one’s life is perfect even if it seems like someone else may have it better. But it becomes easier when we let God take over and clean up our mess and let Him work in our lives. Worship as well was lovely. Overall, I’m thankful for this opportunity, it was my first time and I felt really welcomed, happy, had lots of fun and learned a lot from these wonderful women.” – Belen, High school Junior We want to thank Sarah Huck and the Women’s Ministry Committee that put that weekend together, the gals had so much fun and were able to take some time away from all the chaos in their world with school, work, and figuring out future plans to disconnect and reconnect themselves to the Lord, who is inviting them to Come to the Table (the retreat theme.) Speaking of retreats, we also just have come back from Middle School Retreat. We had a few kiddos come up to Ghormley with us to join four other Presbyterian churches for a weekend getaway. This year’s theme was, ‘Who is God?’ This year we had one of our interns join us for the entire weekend. He helped lead worship which was so cool to see. There was a full band for the worship team and it was great to see the kids worship and get hyped. The speakers did a good job sharing the different Names of God, and finding the right ones that

Student Ministry would apply to these kids’ lives right now. God is doing great things in the lives of our students. We pray that the Lord’s voice is heard by them, even after camp. Our lessons over the fall semester were different for each small group. Middle schoolers have been going through each letter of our G.R.A.C.E. acronym. We have had many new kids come in this year so going through our expectations, we hope to build them up to know what type of culture we want to build. As for the high schoolers, they have been having discussions on various topics Kara teaches during Jacob’s Well. We have also had one missionary visit our High Schoolers. Loni Johnson came and gave a presentation on the work she does in the Philippines.
we will kick off on Wednesday January 3rd. January has no major events planned so we will have a chill month but the next big event is the High School Retreat! It is planned for the weekend of February, 9th–11th.
WHAT’S NEXT:
The Holiday season is around the corner! We have so many events planned! We have the Downtown Lighted Parade outing on Sunday December 3rd, Christmas Caroling Wednesday December 6th, the Luminaria (Arboretum) outing Friday December 8th, and Cookie Decorating at the Merrill’s home on Saturday, December 16th. Our Grace of Christ Holiday season wouldn’t be complete without Adams Giving Tree. The students have in the past been a great help in both wrapping the gifts and presenting the gifts at the family/student dinner event on a December Thursday. So, we are once again offering to our Grace students an opportunity for service. Thursday, December 14th is the super fun Adams Giving Tree event at Adams Elementary school. And to wrap up the year, we are having our 3rd Annual Christmas Party in the Garden Room at church, on Wednesday, December 20th. After the new year

About a year ago I started to attend a morning cycling class. My alarm goes off at quarter to five. I get up, strap on my watch (after all I want to know how many calories I am burning!), grab my bag, my bike shoes, my water, and my phone. As I head out the front door, I look up and see the Big Dipper and Little Dipper. Each morning they are there right above my house, and I don’t know why, but I always look up to see them. I find peace in the sky, and I drive silently to the studio. Once I am there, I talk to no one, put on my shoes, and clip in. What happens next is a little unusual for those who have never attended a Starcycle Class. You find a bike in a room of bikes. Loud music is pumping. Yes, music so loud that your watch tells you your environment is too loud! That’s loud. And then, as soon as everyone clips in, the lights go out. Yup. True. We bike in total darkness. Total darkness except for the two candles on the platform on either side of our instructor so we can do our best to follow her movements and direction. At first, I thought this was the craziest thing ever. How do people bike when it’s pitch black? Well, they do. I do. You have to keep your attention on the instructor and not look around to see what others are doing because you can’t
even see them! It is dangerous to let your mind wander or do your own thing. If you decide to do corner bi-cep curls (yes, weights on a bike!), while your neighbor is climbing a hill side-to-side, they could get a weight in the face. Everyone must follow the leader to ensure a safe ride. That requires single focus.
PSALM 23 At our fall Women’s Retreat, Robin Stuber shared thoughts on Psalm 23. I love that Psalm, and each time I hear it, a different part resonates with where I am in life. The idea of the sheep following the Shepherd through the dark valley and up the narrow and windy path reminded me of my cycling class. The sheep just follow. They don’t look to the right or left, but just straight ahead, pressed into their Shepherd. For only He knows the way. Only He knows the dangers and the harm that could befall the sheep should they take one wrong step or not pay attention. The sheep follow the Shepherd, trusting Him. Single focus. Distractions are rampant in life. Even as I write this, I am inundated with texts, emails, and interruptions. It takes discipline to stay focused on the Lord, and it takes trust to allow Him to lead—just like riding a bike in total darkness with nothing but candlelight on the instructor. In a world filled with darkness, distractions, and so many options, we must put our trust in Him and follow Him closely to truly live a God-directed life – a life that is not filled with ourselves, but is built on a relationship with Jesus. In this season, am I taking the time to listen to the Lord? How am I intentionally growing in knowing His truth and ways? Am I allowing Him to be Lord over my calendar and finances? He is the Good Shepherd, and He only wants good for us. Let’s allow Him to lead – pedal-by-pedal, step-bystep, choice-by-choice. He knows the way. He is the Way.
Starcycle Class requires class members to keep single-focused attention on the instuctor. 14
The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters, He refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for His name’s sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. – Psalm 23

Guests were welcomed with a smile and a red rose.
Our last Starry Starry Night in August was a huge success! We were blessed to have Jason and Naomi Wixson join us. Their duet from Phantom of the Opera was a special treat to us Andrew Loyd Webber fans! People were welcomed with long stemmed red roses and warm smiles as they came into the Sanctuary. It was a nice surprise to see so many people come from outside our Grace community.
Stay tuned for our next Starry Starry Night in February!

Women’s Ministry Greetings Woman of Grace, In October, our Women’s Ministry team hosted our bi-annual retreat called, Come to the Table. The retreat was special in many ways, but perhaps one of the most unique characteristics was how diverse it was. At least half of the women who came to Chelan were from other churches and some from other cities. We had a large group of Hispanic women who brought a lot of Holy Spirit energy (I love Ana’s Hallelujahs and Amens!), and the age range of ladies was from 14 years-old to women who were in their 80’s! It is no small feat putting together a women’s conference, let alone trying to make one that is fun, relevant, applicable, and desirable for women who are in such different seasons and walks of life. But I guess God knew what He was doing when He came up with the retreat’s title. I had a picture of a father who gets home from work, and before he takes off his boots, he opens the back-screen-door and yells for the children to come in and eat supper. The kids who were in the pasture playing come in. The kid who was climbing a tree and the two who were building a fort race to the table. So do the boys who were riding bikes, the girls who were out back looking for vegetables in the garden, and the kids who snuck candy right before supper and are hiding behind the lilac bushes. The father calls all the children in. “Supper!” he yells, letting the “er” draw out. Kids come running. He holds the door open, and they go straight to the big old farm table. And the
18
father sits down. He’s not clean in the sense of a crisp white shirt; he worked hard that day. His hands are rough, but it’s his voice that gets you. His invitation. “Supper!” or rather, “Come to the table.” We came to the table in Chelan. His table. And it was beautiful, thanks to Linda Mathews and her God-given gift of decorating. She set our tables! Our host, the Lord, met us in whatever state we were in. We didn’t have to pretend, protect, be ashamed or afraid. The Holy Spirit was on the move greeting women with a handshake of acceptance and a hug of love. Our speakers did an amazing job of peeling back the layers of God’s Word to give us deeper understanding and illustrations of God’s love for us. If you missed Chelan, do not worry, as His children we can come to His table any time. He always has it set for you and for me. There are days I go to His table in my mind. I often see it as a long wooden farm table, and I sit down. When I close my eyes, I ask Him to show me what is on the table. The other day, I saw a table filled with jars of various candies. Now I don’t even like candy, but He said to me, “I have sweet things prepared for you.” WOW! How cool is that? You can do this, too. Try it. In prayer, ask Him what is on the table He has set for you. He sees you as you are. He loves you as you are. He is the one who offers just what you need for today. Stop and ask what has He prepared for you. He is saying, “Come.”

Women’s Ministry Here are a couple testimonies from the retreat. May you be encouraged! “I was a reluctant participant in the women’s retreat. I am introverted and tend to keep my spiritual life between God and me. But I jumped at the chance to “work” the event through the music team and help with odds and ends. I am a “Martha” who can always find a task needing to be done. I find little joy in being still when I can be doing something for the Kingdom. Throughout the weekend, God sent people to challenge me to take different risks, some small and some big. Like conversations with people I didn’t know, walks with strangers, ice cream with friends, praying with warriors. Prayer doesn’t seem too risky until you really open yourself up to hear what the Lord wants to say. Through worship, prayer, conversations, and amazing speakers who pulled directly from the Word of God, the Lord revealed how heavy of a burden I have been trying (and failing) to carry for my husband, my kids, my job, and my church. I’d like to say that I was able to relinquish all control to Him, that I purged myself of fear and feelings of failure, but that would take more than 3 days to accomplish. This was a beginning. A time of confession and absolution. A promise. A blessing.
When I walked in the door at home, my husband instantly saw the difference one weekend with the Lord can make. He had a huge smile, and said, “I don’t even need to ask how it went. I can see your spirit is lighter.” Coming down from a mountaintop experience can be tricky. There are still piles of dishes, loads of laundry, and three places the kids need to be at the same time. Much of what I experienced is deeply personal and is still being processed and prayed about. But the Lord began a good work in me and many others. I hope that as you encounter the women who were at the retreat, you can see His countenance shining upon them. It is truly good to take time to be near the Lord.” – Anonymous “God is so much more than He is made out to be, so much bigger than we could all imagine. I learned about who He truly is more and more each day but the things I experienced at the Women’s Retreat were so big. All these unique women of all ages coming together to worship and praise the lord, crying out for Him and for one another. It was truly a beautiful experience I don’t think I will ever forget.” – Grace Johnson

THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT
Our theme in preschool this year is from John 15:16: “I choose you to go and bear fruit!” These children are delightful... filled with God’s joy, peace, love, and faithfulness. They may be learning what these words mean, but that doesn’t stop them from being filled with the gifts of the Holy Spirit and blessing all those around them. They may be small. They may be young. But our preschoolers are mighty in proclaiming how much Jesus loves them!

We end the Halloween season with Pumpkin Parties and our Costume Parade! Thanksgiving Feasts Nov 20 & 21 Another annual event that brings our whole school together is our Thanksgiving feasts. We bring food potluck-style and spend the day sharing what we are all thankful for about our school, our students, and our families. It’s delightful! 20
