“And an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were filled with great fear. And the angel said to them, ‘Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.’” – Luke 2:9-10
POWER MADE PERFECT IN WEAKNESS For a group of shepherds, it started out like a thousand other nights. They gathered the sheep, cursed the sheep, watered the sheep, secured them for the night, and then settled in around the fire. Not one of those shepherds suggested to his friends, “I have a feeling tonight we’re going to see something that will blow our minds and change the world.” Routine, normal, the same old same old. There was the customary chewing and spitting. They drank cheap wine. Saul and Adam (I’m making up names here) told a few rough jokes. They were “keeping watch” over the sheep. Without any warning the sky exploded with light. An angel appeared and the glory of the Lord shone around them. They were terrified. I would have been too. The first words the angel spoke were, “Fear not.” (When the angel Gabriel visited Zechariah in chapter one, same thing,
“Do not be afraid.” When, a few verses later, Gabe appeared to Mary, same thing, “Do not be afraid.” I’m guessing our idea of soft, gentle, soothing, cuddly, angels misses the reality of what happens when we actually meet a divine messenger in full brilliance). I understand why the shepherds were “filled with megafear” (the Greek word “mega” is translated here “great”). A being of other-worldly power, a being sent from the presence of God Himself, puts us in our place and shakes us down to our boots. When an angel, a single angel, appears all pretense that we are in control vanishes. Angels, when in full radiance, reflect the power and glory of the One they serve. Our response: we are overwhelmed with fear. For Saul, Adam, and their pals there was no place to hide. The angel spoke words of hope, “Do not be afraid I bring you good news.” Reading the latest headlines, watching the evening news, listening to political pundits, it seems the world, our world, is overflowing with bad news, spinning out of control. How we treat each other does not seem good or peaceful but really bad, jolting, traumatic, aggressive. How will we as followers of Jesus navigate the rising tide of hatred and division around us? How will the generations that follow us survive? And then I remember the message sent by God 2000 years ago... “Do not be afraid, I bring good news.” The good news, incredible news, undeserved great news, announced that first Christmas is that God is on our side,

Pastor He is with us all the way, and He brings us peace. Peace, for Christians, does not flow from political parties and their promises, scientists and their vaccines, nations and their ambitions, or the circumstances around us, it flows to us and in us as a direct gift from God. When God invaded this world, and our life, fear became peace, sorrow turned to joy, despair was transformed into hope, and love took hold and reshaped everything about us. And so I breathe in, breathe out, I get up in the morning, I walk this world confidently, purposefully, humbly. I sleep at night setting aside all worry, all uncertainty, trusting Him. I live, and one day I will die, enveloped in the Peace of Christ. Until that day when God welcomes us to our eternal home, He will patiently, faithfully, rebuild our disjointed lives here at Grace, and through us bring hope to our community and world. We are in this together as we move from Thanksgiving to Christmas, loving God and loving others.
In the name of Jesus, the Prince of Peace, – Pastor Curt
LOVE GOD & LOVE OTHERS In the past few months, we’ve experienced more unexpected, and unwanted, change. Bill Williamson made the decision to step away from his role as head of staff to focus on healing after his divorce. He is missed and our prayers for him continue. Maurice Peugh, after more than 20 years of caring for the church and loving us, moved residence from Terrace Heights to Heaven. He is missed and our prayers for his family continue. Numerous others, whom we love, have left us and are now experiencing unimaginable joy as they wait for us in God’s presence. They are missed and our prayers of gratitude for them continue. What happens now? Actually, the same as always... we trust God, we pray, we serve, we seek to Love God and Love Others. God has blessed, and continues to bless, this church community. He called us, He loves us, He sends us, He is with us. I have been asked by the elders of the church to provide pastoral leadership for the next few months as they prayerfully seek the direction of God for the future. I was not expecting this as I returned to serve as Bill’s assistant fourteen months ago. Know that Kathaleen and I are humbled, and honored, to be a part of Grace of Christ. It isn’t the building, or even the long and good history of this church, that gives me hope for our future together, it is you, the people of Grace, desiring to know and love God and desiring to serve and love others. With that desire God will faithfully meet us, empower us, change us, and add more of our family, our friends, our neighbors, to His eternal Kingdom. With each new change, and there will be more changes... God’s love for us remains unchanging and true.

JESÚS ES EL REGALO DE DIOS PARA SUS HIJOS
JESUS IS GOD’S GIFT TO HIS CHILDREN
GOD sent JESUS his one and only Son to the world as a beautiful gift to humanity. He knew the need we had for a SAVIOR, for a HEALER and REDEEMER. “And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; He is the Messiah, the Lord.” – Luke 2:8-11 In an act of love and mercy, GOD made the decision to save us from the death and total destruction that we all deserved, because of our sins; although it may seem hard to believe, we were lost in our sinful life without even knowing it. The only way GOD could pay for our sins and give us a new and eternal life, was to sacrifice His Son JESUS on the cross.
GOD LOVES US VERY MUCH!
“For GOD so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, [JESUS] that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” – John 3:16 The Bible tells us that our Lord JESUS had compassion for His children because He saw them like sheep without a shepherd. The truth is that we are very important to Him, we are His most beautiful creation, and He will always take care of us. Do not have any doubt about that. GOD knows us better than we know ourselves and knows what is best for every person in the world, young or old. “JESUS went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. When He

Mission Ministry MISSION SUNDAY
We Belong Together As part of Mission Sunday on October 17, Yakima Young Life area director Craig Hooper presented the message, We Belong Together. Drawing from 1 Corinthians 12:11-31. Hooper, known as “Hoop,” continued along in our sermon series Letter to Corinth and Yakima, sharing an inspiring and thought-provoking challenge to live in community.
Loneliness and Isolation
Hoop stated that loneliness is not a good thing and that God did not make us for isolation. Hoop has seen firsthand with his work with Young Life youth how anxiety, fear, depression and substance abuse have all crept into the world as we face further struggles of isolation; mostly due to the pandemic. We have become disengaged. We have lost basic social skills and now feel a very real lack of community. Craig Hooper (Hoop) Yakima Young Life Director Hooper points back to
the very beginning of scripture where God created the world, “...and all that He had made, and behold, it was good...” (Genesis 1:30). But then, as Hoop reminds us, the Lord said that it was not good for man to be alone. “Isolation was never God’s intention for us. We were built for community,” Hooper emphasizes.
Comparison and Distention
However, there can sometimes be difficulties that come with community when we don’t live with our identities founded in Christ. Division and hierarchies may enter into the picture, with comparison and distention ruling. “We are all one in our identity in Christ,” Hooper states. “God was intentional in our diversity. We need our diversity!” Hooper told how the Corinthians compared their spiritual gifts, boasting that certain gifts were superior to others. This created much division and took the focus off of the Lord, who was the one bestowing the gifts. Hooper explained how the church can be likened to the human body, with all parts vital and necessary and that there can be unity in diversity. Hooper reminds us that we have been baptized into one body. “When one suffers, we all suffer. And, when one is honored, we all rejoice!” he says. 7
What Would Paul Write to Us Today?
Hooper poses the questions, “Where would Paul encourage us?” and “Where would Paul correct us?” Hooper took a deep dive into some of our area church’s mission statements and asked, “What are we actually showing the world? Are we loving Jesus? Loving others? What is the world seeing? Do we even know our own mission statement?” This is a clarion call to our church and to the Christian community. Digging further, Hooper asked us whether our beliefs matched our actions. Perhaps, he shared, “The world hates us not because we resemble Jesus, but because we don’t.”
Love One Another
In sum, Hooper concludes that we are not that much different than the people of Corinth. We are divided by politics, economics, race, etc., and cancel each other out at the drop of a hat. We are divided. We are fractured. And, at times, it seems like there is not much hope. He says that although we have been called to be salt and light to this world, we are losing our saltiness and our light is being covered. However, Hooper proposes that the greatest opportunity that we have right now, is to show the world who we are in Christ. “Through our love for God and for our neighbor, we will impact the world when we become ONE,” Hooper proclaims.
Young Life Young Life, Yakima is one of Grace’s mission organization partners. As mentioned in Hooper’s message, Grace has partnered for decades with Young Life to introduce kids to Jesus Christ and help them to grow in their faith. Hooper says that faithful volunteers from Grace can be found each year at the Young Life barbecue beef fair booth. He also noted that the ACTS team members (who are GCF recipients) also volunteered this year at the Young Life fair booth.

Mission Ministry CROSS THE STREET: We Are All Missionaries Go. Make. Disciples!
On Mission Sunday, we learned from Mission Ministry Team member Don Stuber that the founding missionaries of the Bible (Philip, Mathew, James and Thomas), undertook great lengths of travel and sacrifice in order to fulfill the great commission and share the gospel. Most people, in that day and age never traveled more than a thirtymile radius, living and dying near their birthplace. Well, Stuber explained that in this day and age, we are ALL missionaries. Don Stuber, MMT
Friends of Missions Because we are ALL missionaries, the Mission Ministry has come up with the concept of Friends of Missions to encourage church-goers to take an active role in missions. The simple idea is to offer you ways to participate in mission work on a short-term basis. It might not be feasible for you to travel to a foreign country right now, but are you able to trek across town to help at Adams Elementary? Maybe you are basically home-bound, but could you write notes of encouragement to our missionaries? Perhaps you could invest some time with Mi Pueblito, helping out with events. Does your family want to do something to bless others during Christmas? The options are endless. Won’t you “cross the street” and become a missionary?
We Are All Missionaries “Now, we are ALL missionaries! You don’t have to cross an ocean to be on missions, but you do have to cross the street... cross the room... cross the aisle,” Stuber says. “And, love people with all your heart and when necessary, use words.” And, we learned from Don that Grace of Christ heralds a long-standing mission history, beginning when church member Effie Swier traveled oversees for mission work. She underwent the harrowing journey to Korea in 1920. The following year, Fred and Daisy Russell became missionaries in Ethiopia, which began our rich mission legacy with this country, which continues today. In 1950, Fred and Daisy returned to our church, taking active roles. Their son Murray and wife Esther journeyed to Ethiopia in the late 1940’s and remained until 1967. The Russell’s also have a daughter named Dorothy Russell Hanson. Dorothy recently visited Grace of Christ on October 3, sharing some of her experiences as an Ethiopian missionary.

Family Ministry — Sarah Huck Family Ministries Coordinator
“Call to Me, and I will answer you. I’ll tell you marvelous and wondrous things that you could never figure out on your own.” – Jeremiah 33.3
Hello Grace Community! I wanted to share this verse with you as I felt impressed that this is not just a word for me, but also for Grace Kids and our entire church community. As most of you know, I’m fairly new to the position of Family/Children’s Ministry Coordinator. Having been in pharmacy for 13 years and then a stay-at-home mom for 3 years, this has been quite a change. Actually, a radical change. I knew in my heart that this was God’s call for me, and with all my heart and soul I wanted to follow Him. But I had my doubts. Not doubts about the call but doubts that I could do the job. This verse from Jeremiah is where I have pitched my tent these last six months. It’s where I have set up camp. Many of us have places in the Bible that God has used to speak to us for specific situations or seasons of our lives. Places we go back to repeatedly to remember God’s promise or instruction. Through this verse, God said to me, “Sarah, you may not know how to be a Family/Children’s Ministry Coordinator, BUT I KNOW. I will show you how and I will lead you. I WILL TEACH YOU. Call to Me.” “Call to Me, and I will answer you. I’ll tell you marvelous and wondrous things that you could never figure out on your own.” – Jeremiah 33.3 I am seeing this verse come alive in our children’s ministry. Children are understanding God’s ways and truth in beautiful ways. A couple of children have received an insight right in the middle of a lesson, and when they blurt it out, I ask, “How did you know that?” or “Where did that come from?” They‘ve said, “I don’t know! I just heard it inside me, and I knew.” These children are learning to listen and recognize the voice of God in their minds and spirits. They are receiving revela-
tion from the Holy Spirit and then expressing it. It is so fun to see! You know, God is faithful. He loves this Church so much. He loves these kids, these families, and our community. May we be individuals as well as a church family who lives out Matthew 5:14, “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid.”

“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” – Proverbs 22.6 NKJ We want to welcome two precious little ones to our church and camp family. Congratulations to these families! Please pray for God’s blessing and His goodness over each family.

Family Ministry MAKING GOALS AT GRACE In September we held a one-day soccer clinic at Grace, inviting children and families from our Church as well as the community. Even though we woke up to rain, we pushed through, confident God would show up, rain or shine. Our amazing volunteers arrived with rain gear, smiles, and good attitudes, and it overwhelmed my heart to see our church come together. Monte even BBQ’d hamburgers in the rain – what a trooper! It was exciting to have several players from the YVCC Yaks’ women’s soccer team help facilitate the event. These ladies were AWESOME! They jumped in, teaching the kids the fundamentals of soccer, and they came alongside each child with oneon-one instruction or a word of encouragement. It was absolutely a gift to have them there. Alex, Aurora, and Jeff Arkills volunteered to organize, lead drills, and coach, and I was grateful for their experience, knowledge, and enthusiasm. To top it off, Barry Reifle shared the amazing message of the gospel. These kids, whether they had heard it before or perhaps for the first time, were completely captivated by Barry’s passion and love for Jesus. The love and hope of Christ “rained” over every adult and child in that gym. That was the goal!

MERRY CHRISTMAS, OUR SAVIOR HAS COME!
“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” – Isaiah 9:6 We love being together on Sunday mornings – in person or online – worshiping Christ Jesus. As we prepare our hearts for Christmas, we reflect on a year of reconnecting, perhaps spending more time at home, or reminding ourselves how it is to work in an office that isn’t our sofa! Maybe it was a lonely year detached from family and friends. For some, it might have been a hectic time getting kids (and ourselves!) reconnected to school & activities. Now we find ourselves entering the season of Advent. We continue praying, asking Jesus to heal our city, country, and world. We pray for God’s hope, for His love, and for His peace to cover our family and friends here at Grace. We enter Advent seeking Jesus, our Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Craving His peace. In our souls, in our daily lives. Please join us Sundays, at 9am or 11am for worship and teaching. On Christmas Eve, please come to Grace for one of our candlelight services – A family service at 5pm or the 78th Annual Carols and Candles service at 7pm – both in our Sanctuary. There is always room, so if you feel the nudge to invite a friend, neighbor, or family to join you for worship on Christmas Eve, please do! 13

Student Harvest Party & Pumpkin Carving Contest Hello Church Family, This Fall has gone really well! We have a solid group of kids at Grace every Wednesday for youth group. It is great to eat dinner with church family in the gym before our youth group time starts. A bonus, we have a youth band coming together and playing for us each Wednesday to kick off the evening activities!
For King and Country
We have had so much fun, especially with the couple of events we have had up until now. In September we took a group of students to the fair for the For King and Country concert. There was a group of 19 students and volunteers we had such a blast! We can’t wait to do more of that.
Harvest Party • Pumpkin Carving • Trunk or Treat
Then, in October we had a harvest party including a great pumpkin carving contest! Also, in October we had the opportunity to take a couple of youth to the corn maze, what a scare! To end October, the youth provided two games for people who came to our church’s Trunk or Treat. We manned bobbing for donuts and pumpkin toss for candy! It was such fun to see everyone there.
Camp Ghormley’s Slam Quest
In November, we headed up to Camp Ghormley for their annual Slam Quest! It is a weekend retreat for middle schoolers at Ghormley. Plus, we will have one for the high schoolers in February, so look out for that!
Cookie Decorating • Christmas Party
Speaking of upcoming events, we’ll be having a couple of events generated by our connectors. One to look forward to is cookie decorating and there will be a few others as well. We’ll end the year with our Christmas party December 15th in the Garden Room at 6:00pm. 15
YOUTH GROUP WEDNESDAYS (6TH– 12TH GRADE)
Wednesday Night Dinner | 6pm | Gym Youth Meeting & Activities | 6:45–8pm | Basement We just can’t wait to see what the Lord has in store for these youth. We hope that with your prayers that any student that comes in through any of our church doors will find the right atmosphere they are craving and need. So, from us, the Youth ministry, have a great holiday from now until the new year! Questions? Contact us at youth@ yakimagrace.com

HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM GRACE OF CHRIST PRESCHOOL!
I know for some people, hearing “happy holidays” can feel offensive. But here in the preschool it just means that we can’t stop celebrating! From October until New Years, we have our Pumpkin Party, Thanksgiving Feast, the Gingerbread Man Hunt, and then so many Christmas traditions! Through this entire season of celebration, the light of Jesus Christ shines through our children, our teachers, the preschool board, and the many people who donate to our school. So the next time you hear the phrase “Happy Holidays” remember how many opportunities we have to share kindness, thankfulness, and the love of Jesus this time of year!
PRESCHOOL EVENTS
Pumpkin Patch Field Trip: We were able to take our annual Pumpkin Patch field trip this year! A special thankyou to the Union Gap Corn Maze & Pumpkin Patch for hosting us. The event was enjoyed by all! Thanksgiving: In November, the children put together a special message for their families about all the things they are thankful for. We learn special songs and prayers for Thanksgiving too! Christmas Program: Our preschool Christmas Program is on December 7th in the morning. Our theme is “Go Tell It on the Mountain.” What a message we have to share with others about the love of God through Jesus!
THANK YOU TO OUR CHURCH FAMILY!
Any way you slice it, we are so thankful for your support during our Preschool Pie Fundraiser. We could not have done it without you. Every dollar we raise goes directly to our students for curriculum, special events, and scholarships. Thank you!

CHAPEL NEWS
Each year we have a theme in chapel and this year it’s “The Armor of God!” We teach about a piece of the armor each month and how it equips us to love God and strengthens us to serve others. “Therefore, put on the full armor of God, so that you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.” – Ephesians 6:13
NOVEMBER: The Breastplate of Righteousness A soldier’s breastplate was used to cover all the important parts of the body – heart, lungs, stomach, and back. We are also covered and our lives are saved. Not by wearing a big, heavy breastplate, but by the righteousness we received from Jesus! He protects us from the consequences of sin and has saved our eternal lives! Bible Lessons: “God to the Rescue – Moses” and “The Teeny Weeny True King – David” DECEMBER: The Miracle in the Manger We are pausing this month with the Armor of God to spend each week learning, singing, and reading about the true story of Christmas – the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ! Our memory verse this month says it all: “The angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ, the Lord!” – Luke 2:10-11

The Breaking Bread is the “No Contract” phone plan, coming together one evening a month to get to know your dinner companions. Then the following month mixing with new set of companions! WOMEN’S LUNCHEON – NEW DATE: JAN 15
The end of the year is a busy time for so many! So, we decided to not add to the business and instead set aside some time for women to gather (and eat!) while kicking off the new year! Mark your calendars and please join us on Saturday, January 15th at noon in the Garden Room for a luncheon. A time to reconnect, dine on a lovely meal and hear from a speaker. There will be more details coming in December!
old relationships. There was time for long walks, a service project supporting Habitat for Humanity, and, of course, time for laughter and fun! Many thanks to those who worked so hard planning this event. All who attended are looking forward to the next gathering!
We want to share (with their permission) some testimonies from women who attended the retreat. “Thank you, Grace of Christ, for extending your hospitality outside your own walls. The women’s retreat was a wonderful weekend full of fellowship & encouragement in the Lord.” “Robin reminded us of the history of creation; when God created the heavens & the earth, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Then God, with His magnificent creativity spoke all things into being.” “Over the weekend God spoke to me about His abundant creativity. His ability to work all things out for the good, for those who are called according to His purpose. In these crazy times I, like many, have been asking God, “how will this all “work out?” I know He has made this promise, however my eyes have felt weak in their faith and my heart has not stood firm in this hope.”
HOW GOD CHANGED LIVES AT THIS YEAR’S WOMEN’S RETREAT…
With the background of beautiful Lake Chelan, around 60 women gathered to spend the weekend of October 2224 together, experiencing Our Beautiful God. Led by gifted speaker Robin Stuber, those attending dug deep into God’s Word focusing on God the Creator, God the Defender, God the Deliverer and God the Redeemer. There Women’s October Retreat was time for study, time for worship, time for discussion, and great times of prayer. The retreat provided a place for spiritual refreshment and renewal for Grace of Christ women and their friends. The retreat also presented the opportunity for fellowship, which many needed after 18 months of separation from organized groups. There was time to make new friends and rekindle 17

“Over the weekend God revealed His character trait of creativity to me. If God is creative enough to form the world & all things within; isn’t He creative enough to work all things out for us? Of course, we aren’t able to see all the pieces right now, but God finds joy in creating. His creativity is so far reaching that He set the world in order. How then will His creativity not enable all things to work together? He’s the master problem solver, web de-clutter & all creative King.” “I’m grateful that the Spirit of God is still hovering over the earth and over our lives. And I’m grateful that God is creative enough to work all things out! He’s proven His creativity day in & day out as the sun rises and sets. We can stand firm knowing that His creativity doesn’t end there but is working continuously on our behalf.” – Sarah L “In the late afternoon of Friday, October 22, we left Yakima, and on our way to Lake Chelan, as we were approaching Ellensburg, God showed me a vision; He painted the sky and mountains with thousands of colors, and immediately I felt many beautiful emotions in my heart when God revealed His wonderful creation to me. Seeing the many colors in everything, God reminded me of the promise of love that He made to His children, to all His people.”

“The Lord wants us to seek and hold Him in our hearts so that we may find Love, Peace, and Joy in Christ Jesus His Son.” “My time at the Women’s Retreat was truly an eye-opening time for me. I really reflected on how my relationship with God has been like and how I want it to be going forward. My takeaway from that weekend was the Listening Prayer time with Kathy Myers. She had asked all of us ladies to close our eyes and imagine us on the water with Jesus and we were using some kind floating device. As I closed my eyes, I saw Him clear as day sitting in front of me on a Jet-ski. I am terrified of deep water. But during this I felt safe and was so okay with whatever Jesus wanted us to do. He truly took all my fears away during that moment and I let Him fully into my heart. I thank every lady that helped me see what it is to walk side by side with God.” – Jennifer “During our trip, I was able to witness how the leaves of the trees and flowers changed its colors everywhere, and I understood that God is the best artist in the whole world and universe. When we arrived and began to worship together, I noticed the diversity in all the women that were there united as one body, just as God wanted us to be, and that is such a beautiful revelation to me.”

Women’s Ministry
“To my amazement, during our retreat Robin Stuber shared with us a message about God’s creation from the book of Genesis and that was a confirmation that God was speaking to me clearly saying that all His daughters are the most important part of His creation, we are His Princesses, and He is our King.” “My sister, Caroline asked me to come from Dallas for this year’s Women’s Retreat. I came knowing I would support her, but God had a different plan. After the Friday night session about Our Beautiful Creator God, I went for prayer after Robin asked if our words brought light or darkness. The past couple of years I haven’t slept and when I did, my dreams were nightmares. I prayed with Sarah and Beth and God released me from the bondage of the Punisher who took my sleep captive and to rest in the throne room of God safe and secure in my Savior’s presence. I also got a word from God that I was grieving time away from my children and grandchildren. He reassured me that His love is sufficient for me, I am the daughter of the King of Kings, and I should joyously join Him in the work He has for me in Dallas. Friday night I slept seven hours of peaceful and uninterrupted sleep.”
19
“On Saturday night with renewed confidence that our Beautiful God is our Defender and Deliverer. I again became humble in prayer as God broke the bonds of childhood hurts and confusion. Through prayer the walls that separated me from Jesus came down. I left the retreat at peace, renewed, refreshed and full of joy!” “The women’s retreat was an incredible experience for me, and I hope that many people will continue to experience God’s love through Jesus Christ in unity with one another. Thank you and God bless you.” – Aurora “Beyond the teaching the retreat was filled with lots of laughter, fellowship, and encouragement that the women at Grace so desperately needed. Thank you for welcoming me into your midst! Well done good and faithful servants! Blessings!” – Elizabeth “God created in our hearts the need for one another and the desire to be loving, kind, joyful and kind to each other; He wants us to go the extra mile to express our sincere love to Him and to others just as He loves us.”

If you are familiar with the Family Bistro night, then you will notice that Breaking Bread and Building Connections will have some similar flavors. What is it? An opportunity for women to gather over a potluck meal, make new friends and connect with old friends. What it is not: A small group. This is not a long-term weekly commitment but simply a fun way for us to get to know each other better. Why? Women of Grace of Christ, do you long for a deeper connection with the women in our church? Then please join with the Women’s Ministry Team in Breaking Bread & Building Connection. When? The 2nd week of each month for a lunch or dinner. How to get involved? Sign up at the Women’s Ministry Table in the Garden Room, to be a hostess or a participant. Want to host? We are looking for hostesses who are willing to open their hearts and home once each month or as you are available. Hostesses will provide a simple soup or salad entrée (for eight or less) and be given conversation starters. There will be a meeting for hostesses prior to the start date. Questions?
