Week 5

This involved finding the right plans to read WHICH PLANS!

Then measuring the various of the section on the A1 plans and converting these measurements into the measurements needed for the 3D model using the scales provided

Whilst doing this some difficulties were faced

Difficulties faced were: measuring dimensions on the A3 plans then realising they were not to scale and the A1 plans were required, understanding the dimensions of the beams and columns and the

Making the Model o

After obtaining the dimensions of the various elements of the sections our group began cutting a thin piece of balsa wood into the elements required

Reading the Plans o

We began by looking at the side

Before constructing could begin the dimensions of the west section of the skylight needed to be obtained

The materials utilised during the model making were balsa wood and masking tape as they were easy materials to use to duplicate the shape of the Oval Pavilion
