LIVESTOCK IMPORTATION ACT 1971
IMPORTED BIRDS ARE QUARENTINED FOR 21 DAYS AND MAXIMUM 90 DAYS PARROTS SHOULD UNDERGO COMPLEMENT FIXATION TEST AND BE NAGATIVE 30 DAYS PRIOR TO EMBARKATION

Can bring in pets like dogs, cats, birds & ornamental fishes . Import of animals and birds is governed by strict health certificate regulations. Airline/travel agent or Embassy will tell you what particular Health Certificate you need for your pet. (Baggage rules India2005)
