Handmade ceramics are another tradition that has historical reference in Italy, dating back to the XV century. Ever since that time, especially the southern part of the country was known for its production of ceramic bowls, mugs, tea pots and other clay home furnishing products. And this was despite the fact that the necessary product – clay – was not indigenous to the area.
The most famous location for Italian ceramics is Vietri sul Mare. Here the Italian tradition has started bringing about a series of time-honoured factories, with their large kilns and colourful designs. It’ s right in Vietri sul Mare that our main ceramic artist, Mr. Luca Falanga, has acquired his knowledge and techniques in creating his outstanding ceramics. Having worked in several laboratories down there, he decided to undertake a personal path and specialise in ceramic products. His main aim has always been digging into innovative techniques in order to create unique ceramic products.
