Reboot Hold onto your seats kids, because this is one of the best rides I've been on in a long time. In her debut novel, Amy Tintera blew me away. Reboot is the book I feel like I've been searching for, and now I finally have it. I'm kind of in love with the (fictional) idea of super soldiers and have been for quite some time.
Robert B. Parker's Wonderland (Spenser) Wonderland brings Atkins' well-professed love of the Early Autumn-Spenser into firm sync with the rough-and-tumble of, say, Judas Goat (if you haven't lately, go back and read that Montreal fight sequence, one of Parker's best).
Pwned Her latest book PWNED is a fantastic read, she is spot on with her details of the life of a "closet gamer" and adds a bunch of twists into the story at the same time
Primal Fear A great twist at the end of the novel. Many interesting characters, a lot of character description and background, maybe a bit too much.

Once Upon a Prince (Royal Wedding Series) There is the typical romance problem. He is the king of (fictional) Brighton and the country has had a law for two hundred years that the king cannot marry someone not born in Brighton. Hauck really heightens the anxiety as conditions back in Brighton are not helping Nate and Susanna's romance at all.
Not Quite Mine Bybee glosses over a lot of the legalities and focuses on Katie's growing love for the little girl left to her, and then her relationship with Dean. And that's ok, this is a romance! If too much detail and attention had been given over to the legal aspects of abandonment this would have easily switched from a romance novel to a drama, so in this case it works.
Norwegian by Night This is the most dazzling debut. Where has Derek B. Miller been? Where does he spring from? The back fly-leaf of Norwegian By Night tells us that he was born and raised in Boston and now lives in Oslo with his wife and children. He is the director of The Policy Lab and a senior fellow with the UN Institute for Disarmament Research. He has a PhD from the University of Geneva and an MA from Georgetown University in co-operation with St. Catherine's College, Oxford. "But enough with the credentials already," as Miller might have his hero, Sheldon, say. "Get on with the plot!"
Nineteen Minutes This time,with Nineteen Minutes, she pulls it off, does everything right...and I'm delighted to be able to say so. I wasn't able to stop reading, except for short periods when I had to stop and think about WHAT I was reading. I have raised
three teenagers and her portrayal of teenage life, the cruelties of the bullies, the fears and insecurities suffered by even the most popular kids, was eerily accurate.
No Second Chances So Ally finds her ex cheating, and dumps him, and so begins the mind screwing from him, who wants her back. But the alpha male that is Cole, starts to fall in love with her. But not without a big secret of his own, we also learn about Ally's secrets too. We have to watch her slowly crumble, and each time Cole rescues her.
Nightbound: Lords of the Darkyn The mysterious and powerful green emeralds are purported to give the owner immortality. But the Darkyn fear they may be dangerous in the wrong hands. As a result, they have funded a project to find them before anyone else. Beaumaris is the vampire that has been chosen as an agent to manage the dig and keep a close eye on the archaeologist Dr. Alys Stuart.
Nicholas I don't often like to read stories where I already know the outcome. In Darius, I knew who Leah ends up with, and that's Nicholas. I was a bit leery about reading this one, since I knew how it would end. I was incredibly surprised and pleased that once I picked Nicholas up, I didn't want to put it down! Darius was dark...Nicholas is light and mostly cheerful.
Mystic (Soul Seekers) Though I love Phyre's character, the way she's treated throughout the novel bothers me. The poor girl has been brainwashed from a young age by a father who would be a cult leader if he were more competent and part of that brainwashing? Making her believe she has her own destiny that plays into the fate of Enchantment and the world in general. Because Daire and Dace feel she's deluded and her destiny is bull, they dismiss her as crazy regularly. Calling her crazy considering her situation comes off as very ableist and narrow-minded of two narrators I'd by-andlarge liked. She gets a small shining moment during the climactic scene, but she deserves so much better.
Nantucket Blue
Cricket was a very strong main character. She had a distinct voice, and I found myself relating to her easily. She and Jules were so close, she felt like part of the Clayton family, so when a member of that family died, she felt the grief in a very real way. As someone who has experienced grief, it rang very true for me, and my heart broke for Cricket. She learned a lot about herself that summer, as well as about family, friendship, and love. There were some hard lessons to be learned, and while she was scared and didn't think she had the strength for some things, she surprised herself, and I loved watching her grow.
Lost and Found There’s complicated. And there’s Rowen Sterling. After numbing pain for the past five years with boys, alcohol, and all-around apathy, she finds herself on a Greyhound bus to nowhere Montana the summer after she graduates high school. Her mom agreed to front the bill to Rowen’s dream art school only if Rowen proves she can work hard and stay out of trouble at Willow Springs Ranch. Cooking breakfast at the crack of dawn for a couple dozen ranch hands and mucking out horse stalls are the last things in the world Rowen wants to spend her summer doing. Until Jesse Walker saunters into her life wearing a pair of painted-on jeans, a cowboy hat, and a grin that makes something in her chest she’d thought was frozen go boom-boom.
Love Love Gabby is broken in a heart-wrenching way. After she loses a piece of her life, and herself, she moves cross-country to start over. Or so she believes. Really Gabby has become numb, living her life just to live it.
Levitating Las Vegas Even though I got frustrated with the characters and wanted the book to focus more on certain aspects, I still found Levitating Las Vegas to be an engaging read. I had no idea what would happen at the end, and I really wanted to know! That being said, although this book is unique and original, I'm not sure it will be everyone's cup of tea.
Juggernaut This book is a great read. Quality sci-fi/horror/action from an excellent writer making a name for himself amongst the horror/zombie genres. This, just like OUTPOST, would make a great film. I would love to see this and OUTPOST filmed, and hopefully the books would be done justice. In JUGGERNAUT we discover more about the parasite/virus and the origin of the pandemic described in OUTPOST. The main character is Lucy, the leader of a team of mercenaries on one last job before they retire, hopefully filthy rich from Saddam's gold promised to them.
Lady Vivian Defies a Duke
We first met the hero, Luke Forest, in the previous Beau Monde book, Miss Lavigne's Little White Lie, in which he served as a helpful side character. Now, Luke has become the Duke of Foxhaven, and is seeking to disengage himself from his responsibilities as a duke, staring with cancelling his betrothal to Lady Vivian Worth.
If I Should Die (Revenants) If I Should Die is the third and last book in the series and my personal opinion is you should read the first 2 books before reading If I Should Die, so you can truly grasps everything that happens in the series. You will fall in love with the Revenants just like I did.
Heart of Iron Lena is a headstrong, persistent character which is an admirable trait for any heroine except she like Will, crosses the line of being so headstrong that she lacks self-preservation by putting herself in a number of obviously dangerous situations. Its also not too clear whether she actually knows anything about the rogue humanistic rebel group (a prohuman/anti-vampire group who are actually a pretty cool aspect of HEART OF IRON) she is working for. This lack of knowledge either proves her extreme naivety or recklessness considering she rarely questions their motives until the later part of the story.
How My Summer Went Up in Flames The rest of the cast of characters are intriguing in their own various ways. Logan is using the car trip to get Spencer away from their father and a real vacation for the first time in years. He is intensely smart and is gorgeous too boot. Matty is Rosie's neighbor who is more like a brother and a boyfriend. Matty is such a great friend and we would all be better people if we had him for a friend. Spencer is one of the good guys those that girls typically overlook. He is passionate about his music and is brainy, a planner and an organizer. Lastly, there is Avery Logan's friend that instantly bonds and connects with Rosie after stopping at her house along the way. It is through Avery's interactions that we see Rosie begin to think beyond the past and now and to begin to think of her future.
Gawky: Tales of an Extra Long Awkward Phase Margot Leitman's book "Gawky" is a great read. I received an advance copy and couldn't put it down. Her stories about growing up tall, awkward and an outsider will resonate with everyone.
Grimoire of the Lamb: An Iron Druid Chronicles Novella Grimoire of the Lamb is a really good novella. I was expecting it to be more about Bast, but I thoroughly enjoyed the fact that Kevin Hearne gave a different story. I won't spoil it here, but you finally get to hear a further background on a
story that has interested me since the beginning of the series. I highly recommend it to anyone who has read an Iron Druid novel, but I think that it isn't a book that people should start the series with. It presumes you understand the magic system and Atticus' specific talents already. Without having read at least one of the novels in the series, it will confuse new readers.
Game On (An Out of Bounds Novel) With a reputation for fast moves on the gridiron and even faster moves off the field, Shane Devlin was a player in every sense of the word. Unfortunately, his bad-boy persona has made him a risky prospect as a quarterback, and only the Baltimore Blaze are willing to give him a chance. And he’s about to take a hit he never expected.
Forces of Nature No one is going to tear down the farmland that's been in her family since the turn of the century certainly not multimillion dollar Welco Industries. And until Welco's president meets with her, Crystal will wage a fiery one-woman protest to prove it! But when he finally appears, Douglas Wellington III is far from the elderly curmudgeon she expected...
Flora The story is told by Helen reflecting in her old age about that summer and perhaps this accounts for the unchildlike feel of her perspective. Helen is a haughty and even contemptuous ten year old. Flora is open and loving and quick to talk about the Alabama upbringing that she shared with Helen's deceased mother. Helen previously knew almost nothing about her mother's side of the family and has been unduly influenced by a loving but status conscious grandmother and a largely absent father. Since Helen's mom died when she was three and she barely remembers her Flora's stories are a revelation. As the summer wanes more bits and pieces come out, not all of them flattering.
Ever Enough I loved this story! It had me laughing and crying(sometimes at the same time), the characters are so real and the emotions are are real. I have to say that I cannot wait to read more from Stacy Borel in the future!
Eternal Demon: Mark of the Vampire This story that loyal readers will love. Cruen is a truly evil villain but his secrets have always been shrouded in mystery. This story delves into how he gets his powers and created other powerful vampire such as Erion. I also enjoyed the two main characters. Erion is totally driven and intense. He has never known real love and to discover he has a young and defenseless child drives him harder. But he unwillingly finds himself attracted to the sexy Hellen. Hellen is unlike any woman he has ever known. She also has secrets and powers that fascinate and open his hardened heart.
Deadly Harvest: A Detective Kubu Mystery During the investigations of Deadly Harvest, we become more familiar with the political climate as well as muti, a type of traditional medicine widespread in southern Africa. Unfortunately some witch doctors resort to the use of human body parts in the making of their medicines and potions, and stopping this horrendous practice is a driving force in the book. It's the skillful weaving together of the cold case and the murder of the political candidate that builds suspense to such a point that I still find it hard to believe that Deadly Harvest is almost 500 pages long.
Down London Road
Then the story unfolds in typical Samantha way and we get deeper and deeper into mysteries, more things come out to fit in the tale, and other people that were just names come into the picture and get involved. There are situations where there seems no way out, romance and sizzling smouldering sex scenes - Sam can write those so that the book seems to be melting away with the heat!! Some authors seem to add sex because they think its what readers want, I think Samantha adds it because its what her characters are telling her to do, they call the shots and take control.
Dead Ever After: A Sookie Stackhouse Novel There are secrets in the town of Bon Temps, ones that threaten those closest to Sookie and could destroy her heart.... Sookie Stackhouse finds it easy to turn down the request of former barmaid Arlene when she wants her job back at Merlotte’s. After all, Arlene tried to have Sookie killed. But her relationship with Eric Northman is not so clearcut. He and his vampires are keeping their distance‌and a cold silence. And when Sookie learns the reason why, she is devastated.
Dark of the Moon If you expect "Dark of the Moon" to be just another Greek mythology-inspired paranormal YA romance, look elsewhere. If you are looking for a novel based on a familiar myth but that turns this myth on its head and re-imagines it in the most unexpected but realistic way, you might have hit a jackpot here.
Benjamin Franklin's Bastard This is an enlightening and captivating read, relating a fictionalized account of a little known facet of Benjamin's Franklin's personal life. While it is well known that he was a womanizer, the fact that he had a bastard son who grew up to be the royalist Governor of New Jersey has been kept hidden in history's shadows. Sally Cabot, a local historian in Massachusetts, has brought this to the fore, showing, through in-depth character analysis and vivid descriptions of colonial life in 18th Century Philadelphia, a very personal side of one of the more famous founders of our country as a devoted father, husband, and lover.
Courting His Countess (Historical Romance Novella) I was a little iffy about this story being as there were no reviews and the authors note on the book. As the author says our hero starts out as a cheater, but for sevral reasons I forgave him. The first being that his wife was 15 when he married her, second he barely knew his wife on hs wedding day, and lastly after he cheats he leaves town for 6 years because of his anger. Then when he gets back he falls imediately in love with his wife and suppports, loves and begs his wife for forgiveness.

Alex, a Vegas business tycoon, is not a nice man. He's your typical rich, dominant, Acqua de Gio-wearing tall, dark, and deadly (yes, I just made that a noun) in other words, totally swoon-worthy I need more of him now!!! He has a cool, controlled exterior--except in the presence of Maddy, with whom he doesn't feel coldness, nor mere attraction, but rather, a slow, wicked burn. The development of their relationship is exactly that: a slow, wicked burn that ignites at its hottest points and sizzles when it's cool.
A Highland Werewolf Wedding The second battle was for the treasure.. Elaine has a partial map but someone else is after it as well and if it were up to her bungling bully cousins that map would be completely lost... Fortunately Elaine's side of the family got the brains and she is able to figure out who to rely on.
