Freestyle Academy

At Freestyle Academy, students learn and develop skills in effective written oral, visual and audio communication. For this 2-year program limited to 80 Juniors and 80 Seniors with 20 students per class, each student takes English and Digital Media and then take as their 3rd class Film, Design, or Animation. All project ideas begin in English through readings, discussions, critiques, brainstorming sessions, writings and peer editing. Design continues the project ideas with photography, illustrations, drawing, books, or articles using Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. Film students produce short films with Premiere Pro & After Effects. Digital Media students produce websites that include podcasts, photo galleries, animations, original music, and videos with Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Animate, After Effects, Wordpress, Pro Tools, Ableton Live, and Reason. Animation students use DragonFrame, ZBrush, Maya and After Effects for short video animation productions.
