EDITOR’S letter Welcome to our first issue
Fresh Vegan is a food
Magazine for Vegan and non vegans alike with a wish to work alongside our neighbours in Europe, to let them have a voice in a world that often only glances in their direction, featuring places that often don’t get a look in. Fresh Vegan is for everyone, Omnivores, Vegetarians, Vegans, and the health conscious so I hope you find something here for you, if not, let me know.
Mindfulness is very apt in the current climate, mindfulness in how we spend, where we spend, what we buy, and how we choose to nourish our body and soul. Being mindful of the financial situation makes me want to break free from its constraints and just have fun! Yes, there are people struggling, and we do need to adopt a more compassionate outlook but that need not mean we should stop enjoying and sharing.

Veganism has largely been lead by America in the past decade and it seems we are a bit slow in the UK, outside of the Cities, thankfully other parts of the country are now sitting up and taking notice with some incredibly exciting things happening, encouraging a more a more “Plant based lifestyle”. I have always attempted to buy fair trade, organic, and where possible, local, I didn’t realise I was being political, but every food purchase is a political choice. As a vegan I believe that compassion and protection should be given to every species on the plant and especially those who are less able to care for themselves. Welcome to Fresh Vegan and Enjoy....X
