Doxology

Transfigured on the Mountain High No. 580 from “Sing to the Lord a New Song”

Hymn

Transfigured on the mountain high, with friends all trembling at the sight and ancient prophets standing nigh, Christ’s glory shone in radiant light. “This is my Son; you need not fear. He comes to give you life anew. Pay heed to him while he is here, for on the cross he’ll die for you.” As did those friends so long ago, we often fail to comprehend that from Christ’s wounds such love did flow and on this love we can depend. Christ’s sacrifice, a gift so dear, remains our hope, our shelter true. Today, dear Lord, dispel our fear as in our faith we welcome you. Sermon Hymn
