New Zealand
Take Your Travel Experience Further: The Hosted Trip Difference Unparalleled Service and Knowledge Every Step of the Way What to Expect Dear Traveler, It is easy to say what we love about New Zealand. First of all, it’s the fish — wild, smart, beautiful brown trout. Secondly are the warm, friendly Kiwi people. Lastly is the rugged wild remoteness of the South Island. It truly is the Everest of trout fishing. You can pit yourself against the trout of a lifetime fishing in rivers where water is often described as clear as air. This is quality verses quantity, go once and you’ll have to go back. After having traveled throughout New Zealand for many years, we’ve settled into two lodges where we quite frankly feel most at home. We’ll stop first at Riverview Lodge, in the Hanmer Springs area, where John and Robin Gemmell will show us what Kiwi hospitality is all about. Robin will immediately make you part of their family, and John and his guides will introduce you to the world famous Hope River. It is for us one of our favorite trout rivers in the world. After the wonderful experience at Riverview Lodge, we will travel to Owen River Lodge to meet with the owner, Felix Borenstein. Strategically located in the middle of some of the best trout rivers on the South Island, Owen River Lodge sets the bar high for guest hospitality, cuisine and a stable of well-seasoned fishing guides. A trip to New Zealand would not be complete without a stop at Owen River Lodge. Come with us to the South Island of New Zealand. It is a trip that you won’t soon forget. Sincerely,
Barry and Cathy Beck
