Take Your Travel Experience Further: The Hosted Trip Difference Unparalleled Service and Knowledge Every Step of the Way Join artist, author, and guide, Bob White, for an incredible week of fly fishing at Alaska Trophy Adventures Lodge! “I’ve guided throughout southwest Alaska since 1984, and while I’ve always heard rumors about the great fishing on the remote braids of the Alagnak River, but I’ve never had the opportunity to fish them. I’m very excited about hosting a week at Alaska Trophy Adventures Lodge!” Located just six miles below the confluence of the Alagnak and Nonvianuk Rivers, Wayne and Jacob McGee’s Alaska Trophy Adventures Lodge is ideally located to fish this secluded water. With over 100 river miles of legendary water accessible by jet boat, there’s no need for expensive fly-outs. Bob is on the editorial team and regularly contributes artwork to TROUT, the membership publication for Trout Unlimited. He is also a contributor to Gray’s Sporting Journal, Sporting Classics, Shooting Sportsman, Big Sky Journal and a myriad of other sporting publications. While at the Lodge, Bob plans to paint several canvases, and he’ll share each day’s work with the group upon their return. Much of the work will be plein air studies to be used for completing larger, studio paintings after the trip. Sincerely,

What to Expect

• Alaska Trophy Adventures Lodge is located at mile 52 on the remote banks of the wild and scenic Alagnak River. The Lodge consists of 160 acres of prime river frontage, located in the most iconic section known as the “Upper Braids.” They will provide an experienced professional guide team, comfortable accommodations and fresh cuisine featuring the best local ingredients. • Six miles upstream from the Lodge is where two rivers, the Kukaklek and Nonvianuk, join to form the Alagnak. Because of this prime location and fleet of jet boats, they are able to access this entire watershed and draw upon its many resources. • The Alagnak offers runs of all five species of Pacific salmon, and is home to a host of resident fish, such as leopard rainbow trout, arctic char, grayling, lake trout and pike. Crystal clear water allows for ideal stalking conditions, while slow runs and fast riffles are commonplace with pools well suited for holding pods of staging salmon.

About the Accommodations

The complex is made of high quality wooden cabins and a main lodge where all meals are served. The Lodge is located six miles upstream from the confluence of the Kukaklek and Nonvianuk rivers where they form the Alagnak. Their fleets of jet boats access all three rivers and the many species that populate these rivers.

About Bob White Bob’s life and his adventures are the result of a misspent youth. Instead of doing homework, he pursued his outdoor passions, and when not afield, his nose was in the sporting books and magazines of the day. Consequently, he has wandered between Alaska and Patagonia, guiding fly fishermen and bird hunters for over three decades. In addition to guiding in southwest Alaska since 1984, he has guided and hosted sportsmen in Argentina, Chile, Kamchatka, Cuba, the Bahamas, and many other destinations. In 1988 Bob was named Fly Rod & Reel magazine’s Guide of the Year. When not guiding or hosting departures, Bob can be found in Marine on St. Croix, Minnesota with his wife, Lisa, daughter Tommy, and their awesome flat coat retriever, Frisbee.
