Proposed Itinerary for Grand Slam Lodge March 11-18, 2017 Saturday, March 11 Arrive Cancun. Upon arrival in Cancun, proceed through customs and exit the international gate hallway. Continue through this area to the hallway on your right, which will take you outside. A lodge representative will be holding a Grand Slam sign. He will assist you to the transfer vehicle. For those arriving into Cancun before 2 p.m. there will be a road transfer to the Ultimo Maya Pier in Tulum which is located a few miles south of the entrance to the Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve (approximately two hours.). You will be met by your guide and transferred by Panga boat to the lodge via a one hour ride through the inside lagoon system. For those arriving after 2 p.m. or if the weather is inclement, you may have to overnight in Cancun at the Azul Sensatori with no additional charge, meals included. The following morning you will be transfer to Ultimo Maya Pier where your guide will be waiting for you. Be prepared to fish as you will fish the inside lagoon system all the way to the lodge. All accommodations at Grand Slam Lodge are non-smoking sea-view beachfront with air conditioning, a private bathroom with shower, Jacuzzi tub, satellite TV and a balcony with a Murphy bed and hammock. Secure Wi-Fi is available in the main lodge. Sunday - Friday, March 12 - 17 Six fully-guided days of fishing the waters of Ascension Bay while enjoying the facilities at Grand Slam Fishing Lodge. The Kai Restaurant Bar and Terrace serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Fishing lunches are buffet style, packed by the angler in the morning before or after breakfast. After fishing on Friday, March 17, you’ll be transferred to the Azul Sensatori Resort in Cancun for your overnight. Saturday, March 18 Transfer to the airport and return home.
Costs
Grand Slam Lodge: $3,600 per person based on double occupancy and shared fishing guide. Inclusions: Beach front accommodations, guided fishing, all meals, fishing license and Cancun round-trip transportation. Exclusions: International flights, guide and staff gratuities, bar tab and items of personal nature. Additional details will be provided in the pre-trip itinerary.
