The Bobcats led the NJAC in rushing defense (82.2), scoring offense (36.0), punt returns (10.92), fumbles recovered (17.0), teams tackles for loss (8.3), first down offense (276), third down conversion percentage (46.6), third down conversion percentage defense (25.3) and time of possession (33:57).

Frostburg also finished its season ranked second in the NJAC in total offense (418.4), total defense (265.6), passing offense (237.4) and team sacks (3.08). FSU ranked sixth nationally in third-down conversion defense (.253), eighth in time of possession (33:57), 10th in first downs (276) and 13th in rushing defense (82.2).

For the second-straight year, Frostburg head coach DeLane Fitzgerald took the program to new heights. The Bobcats won a school record 11 games (11-2), scored a programbest 468 points, earned the program’s second-ever trip to the NCAA Playoffs and adthe first time since the tournament expanded to 32 teams. The Bobcats capped the season by earning a No. 9 ranking in both the D3football.com and AFCA finals polls, their highest-ever rankings. Frostburg, which posted four and seven-game winning streaks during the season, captured the 19th Annual Regents Cup trophy after defeating in-state rival Salisbury in double overtime (14-7) and the Bobcats carried that momentum into the NCAA Playoffs where they defeated both No. 9 Wittenberg (35-7) and No. 10 Washington & Jefferson (46-23). In its three wins over ranked opponents, Frostburg held a 114-37 scoring advantage.
