Tuition Waivers Savings could total approximately $40,000 for a typical four-year degree! Out-of-state students will receive an FYA waiver* when they: 9 Complete three consecutive semesters abroad (and a minimum of 36 FSU credit hours) 9 Maintain an FSU GPA of 3.0 or better 9 Meet all financial obligations related to participation in the FYA program 9 Maintain good academic and judicial standing 9 Attend consecutive semesters without inturruption upon return (excludes summer) 9 Stay on map toward degree completion *Out-of-state students will receive an FYA waiver reducing the out-of-state tuition rates to the in-state tuition rates for the remainder of their first undergraduate degree at FSU in Tallahassee.
More Opportunities After successful completion of the FYA program, students have the opportunity to be recognized under FSU’s Global Citizenship Certificate and become a member of the Garnet & Gold Scholar Society. Students interested in one of FSU’s Interdisciplinary Minors offered at the London, Florence, or Valencia study centers may earn credits abroad and then finish the minor on main campus. Each minor requires 15 credits, 9 of which must be completed at the corresponding study center.
