Strike a Pose July 8-12

Discover and explore Alaska’s natural beauty through a lens! Learn basic knowledge and skills of outdoor photography to include animals, flowers, landscapes, and more. A photo exhibit on Friday will showcase the art for family and friends.

Red Fish, Blue Fish! July 15-19

Explore the lakes and rivers of Fairbanks and Interior Alaska with the Youth Center. Learn how to prepare and cook your fish. All equipment will be provided. Participants must have a fishing license.

Robin Hood Archery July 22-26

Learn how to navigate the land, kayak and canoe the rivers and much more to create memories of summer living in Alaska! Go camping overnight to Chena Lake for fishing, hiking and fun under the Alaskan sun. Participants must have a fishing license.

Learn how to safely use a bow and arrow with an expert. Target practice is offered daily. Competitions will be held on various days with a grand championship to round out the week!

Baby Signs: Sign, Sing, and Play Classes

Mondays, 0900-0930 at LFCAC Hands on Parent and Child classes that are designed to improve communication with young children. Families will learn signs through song and play–keeping it fun for everyone! This basic signing series of six classes will be offered on a rotating basis and is appropriate for families with children 9 months to 5 years of age. No cost to attend. Parent kits available for purchase.
