Transportation, snowmachine and helmet provided. Bring lunch, snacks, drinks and cold weather clothing. If the temperature drops below -10 degrees we will try to postpone to a warmer date.

Alaska Range Snowshoe

Geocaching in the Fairbanks Region (Chena Hot Springs); 11/16; 0800-1700 Fee: $20

Take the knowledge from the 101 class to the local community, go out and search for some of the hidden caches. This is a great way to see how geocaching really works and learn about different areas in your community. Makes for a fun filled family day activity.

Positions with ACS, SKIES, and CYSS now available! The HIRED! Apprenticeship Program provides youth with meaningful, professionally managed career-exploration opportunities in Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) operations. • Candidates must be 15–18 years of age • Must be registered with Child, Youth & School Services (CYS Services) • Must have and maintain a GPA of 2.0 or better • Chosen participants are required to work 15 hours/week for 12 weeks • Additional options and requirements may be offered during the Summer Term • Apprentices may complete up to 2 terms/year for 3 consecutive years For more information, call the MWR Partnership Specialist at 361-9897. NEW PARENT SUPPORT PROGRAM (NPSP) Offered to Army families to enhance parent and infant attachment, increase knowledge of child development, and provide connections to the support services that allow parents to become nurturing and capable caregivers. The NPSP staff consists of licensed registered nurses and social workers who provide in-home parenting education, support, and resource linkage.
