Snowy Adventures QUESTFEST ‘18 Yukon Quest Viewing Party Saturday, February 3, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Dog mushing is a classic sport in Alaska. In fact, it’s Alaska’s official sport! The Yukon Quest 1,000 Mile International Sled Dog Race gets its name from the “highway of the north,” which is the Yukon River and the historical winter land routes traveled by prospectors, adventurers and mail and supply carriers traveling between the gold fields of the Klondike and those in the Alaskan interior. Gather around the trail and cheer as the canine athletes set off on their 1,000-mile long journey from Fairbanks to Whitehorse, Canada. With both snowy and indoor activities for the entire family, this is truly an Alaskan experience you won’t want to miss.

This class, held at Army Community Service, is offered to Soldiers on a mandatory basis, but Family Members are also welcome to attend.
