Clausura de la quinta edición del Congreso Internacional Tecnología y Turismo Fuerteventura 4.0 FMHOY - Fuerteventura

El presidente del Cabildo, Blas Acosta, aseguraba, el pasado mes que la Isla está “de enhorabuena” después de que el Gobierno de Canarias posibilitara el uso de test de antígenos para los viajeros internacionales que visiten el archipiélago. Una medida que, según Acosta, servirá para posicionar a las Islas y a Fuerteventura en el mapa “gracias a un servicio sanitario de calidad que, ahora mismo, no ofrecen otros competidores”. Blas Acosta ha hizo estas declaraciones en la clausura de la quinta edición del Congreso Internacional de Tecnología y Turismo Fuerteventura 4.0 que este año, debido a la situación sanitaria, se ha desarrollado en formato online. El presidente del Cabildo ha notificaba a los turoperadores que, a partir de ahora, “será el decreto canario el que está en vigor”, para despejar dudas e impulsar la actividad turística en la Isla. La decisión del Gobierno canario llega en unos momentos en los que, tal y como ha reconocido el presidente majorero, “la isla de Fuerteventura, desde el punto de vista económico, atraviesa una situación bastante dramática, con un desempleo por encima del 50 por ciento” y, por eso, “hemos peleado como isla para convencer al Gobierno de Canarias, en septiembre, para que tomara la decisión de crear un decreto sobre el hospedaje y nos dio la razón y en el día de hoy viene a ratificarse” con los test de antígenos. De cara a un incremento en la llegada de turistas, el presidente apuntaba que “aún es pronto” para vaticinar resultados, aunque confía en que próximamente se pueda ir incrementando el nivel de reservas, “aunque hay que tener en cuenta la situación de los países de origen y las recomendaciones que nos indican las autoridades sanitarias”. Aun así, confía en que gracias a la implantación de la norma se incentive la movilidad y “se pueda ir creando un destino con un servicio sanitario de calidad que, ahora mismo, no lo ofrecen otros competidores”, por lo que cree que “es el momento de posicionar a Canarias y Fuerteventura desde el punto de vista del testeo sanitario en el mapa”. Acosta ha estuvo acompañado en la clausura por el consejero de Nuevas Tecnologías del Cabildo, Pau

Quiles, y el presidente de la Asociación de Empresarios Turísticos de la Isla, Antonio Vicente Hormiga. End of the fifth edition of the International Congress on Technology and Tourism in Fuerteventura 4.0 FMHOY - Fuerteventura The Cabildo’s president, Blas Acosta, indicated last month that congratulations were in order for the Island further to the agreement of the Canarian Government for the use of antigen tests for international travellers who want to visit the archipelago. This measure, according to Mr Acosta, will enable to put the Island and Fuerteventura on the map “thanks to a quality health service that competitors currently don’t offer”. Blas Acosta made this announcement during the closing event of the fifth edition of the International Congress on Technology and Tourism in Fuerteventura 4.0 that took place as an online format this year because of the health situation. The Cabildo’s president notified the tour-operators that from now on “the Canarian decree will come into force” in order to clear any doubts and develop tourism activity on the island. According to the Cabildo’s president, the decision from the Canarian Government comes at a time when “the island of Fuerteventura is going through quite a dreadful financial situation with an unemployment rate of more than 50%” and this is why “in September, we fought as an island to convince the Canarian Govern-

ment to create a decree on the hospitality trade, and they backed us up, which has just been ratified” with the antigen tests. As for the increase of tourists’ arrivals, the president indicated that “it is still early” to foresee results, although he indicates that reservations could soon increase, “although we have to take into account the situation of the countries of origin and the recommendations that the health authorities are issuing”. However, he believes that thanks to the new norms that increases mobility, “we can create a destination with a quality health service that competitors are not offering now”. He, therefore, believes that “it is time to put the Canaries and Fuerteventura on the map for their health testing qualities”. Mr Acosta was accompanied in the closing event by the councillor for New Technologies of the Cabildo, Pau Quiles, and the president of the Association of Tourism Businesses of the Island, Antonio Vicente Hormiga. The slogan of this event organised by the council and the business association was “A new Age of Opportunity”. The fifth edition of the International Congress on Technology and Tourism in Fuerteventura 4.0 dealt with

issues such as the duo of tourism and health during a pandemic, the importance of remote work as a tourism niche, the ways to get financing or the future of tourism in the post-covid era.

Abschlussveranstaltung der fünften Ausgabe des internationalen Kongresses überTechnologie und Tourismus‚ “Fuerteventura 4.0” FMHOY - Fuerteventura Der Präsident des Cabildo, Blas Acosta, sagte im letzten Monat, dass die Insel “sehr zufrieden sei”, nachdem die kanarische Regierung die Verwendung von Antigentests für internationale Reisende, die den Archipel besuchen, ermöglicht habe. Diese Maßnahme wird laut Acosta dazu führen, die Inseln und Fuerteventura “dank eines hochwertigen Gesundheitsservices, der im Moment von der Konkurrenz nicht angeboten wird”, auf der Landkarte zu positionieren. Blas Acosta machte diese Aussagen bei der Abschlussveranstaltung der fünften Ausgabe des internationalen Kongresses für Technologie und Tourismus Fuerteventura 4.0, der in diesem Jahr, aufgrund der gesundheitlichen Situation im Online-Format angeboten wurde. Der Präsident des Cabildo hat den Reiseveranstaltern mitgeteilt, dass von nun an “das kanarische Dekret in Kraft ist”, um Zweifel auszuräumen und touristische Unternehmen auf der Insel zu fördern.

Die Entscheidung der kanarischen Regierung kommt zu einer Zeit, in der, wie der Präsident von Fuerteventua bemerkte, “die Insel aus wirtschaftlicher Sicht eine ziemlich dramatische Situation mit einer Arbeitslosigkeit von über 50 Prozent durchmacht”. Er fügte hinzu: “deshalbhaben wir als Insel gekämpft, um die kanarische Regierung im September zu überzeugen, ein Dekret über Beherbergung zu erlassen, und sie hat uns den Recht gegeben. Heute wird das mit den Antigentests ratifiziert”. Angesichts des Anstiegs der Touristenankünfte wies der Präsident darauf hin, dass es “noch zu früh” ist, um Ergebnisse vorherzusagen. Er ist jedoch zuversichtlich, dass die Buchungen bald steigen werden, “obwohl die Situation in den Herkunftsländern und die Empfehlungen der Gesundheitsbehörden berücksichtigt werden müssen”. Dennoch ist er zuversichtlich, dass durch die Umsetzung der Regelung die Mobilität gefördert wird und “ein Reiseziel mit einem qualitativ hochwertigen Gesund-

heitsservice geschaffen werden kann, was im Moment von anderen Konkurrenten nicht angeboten wird”. Er glaubt, dass “es an der Zeit ist, die kanarischen Inseln und Fuerteventura unter dem Gesichtspunkt des Gesundheitstests auf der Landkarte zu positionieren”. Acosta wurde bei der Abschlussveranstaltung vom Beauftragten für neue Technologien der Inselregierung, Pau Quiles, und dem Präsidenten der Vereinigung der Tourismusunternehmen der Insel, Antonio Vicente Hormiga, begleitet. Der Stadtrat und der Arbeitgeberverband sind die Organisatoren dieser Veranstaltung, deren Motto in diesem Jahr “A new Age of Opportinity” lautete. Die fünfte Ausgabe des Internationalen Kongresses für Technologie und Tourismus Fuerteventura 4.0 hat sich mit Themen wie Tourismus und Gesundheit in Zeiten von Pandemien, der Bedeutung von Telearbeit als touristische Nische, Finanzierungskanälen oder der Zukunft des Tourismus in der Post-Covid-Ära beschäftigt.

De este modo, la Consejería y Reserva de la Biosfera continúan trabajando para fortalecer el desarrollo local y la diversificación turística de la Isla, en el marco del proyecto ‘Plan de sostenibilidad turística para el desarrollo de una marca local Fuerteventura biosfera, calidad en el ámbito rural y ecoturismo’. Apoyan con 45.000 euros las acciones de la Asociación de Artesanos Creativos FMHOY - Fuerteventura El Cabildo continúa impulsando acciones dirigidas a potenciar el sector de la artesanía de la Isla, destinando un total de 45.000 euros a la Asociación de Artesanos Creativos en Fuerteventura, gracias a un convenio de colaboración suscrito entre la consejera responsable del servicio de Artesanía del Cabildo, Lolina Negrín, y la presidenta de la asociación, Paula da Cruz Pinto. A través de este convenio, la Corporación insular persigue fomentar acciones para valorar, proteger y transmitir a las futuras generaciones los conocimientos, técnicas y destrezas asociadas a los oficios artesanos de Fuerteventura, además de potenciar la cultura asociativa en el sector y el fomento de la comercialización de los productos artesanos de la Isla. Mediante esta subvención, la Corporación insular facilita acciones orientadas a dar a conocer el trabajo de la asociación en la Isla, apoyando la realización de material de difusión, además de costear gastos corrientes de la misma y la reforma de la tienda de artesanía de Betancuria para la comercialización de productos artesanales. El convenio se dirige además a apoyar el desarrollo de una página web para la promoción y comercialización de los productos de los artesanos miembros de la asociación, y el asesoramiento legal-fiscal a la asociación, entre otras acciones.

Die Aktionen des Verbands der kreativen Kunsthandwerker werden mit 45.000 Euro unterstützt FMHOY - Fuerteventura Das Cabildo fördert weiterhin Aktionen zur Verbreitung des Kunsthandwerks auf der Insel und stellt dem Verband der kreativen Kunsthandwerker auf Fuerteventura dank einer Kooperationsvereinbarung, die zwischen der Beauftragtenfür Kunsthandwerk des Cabildo, Lolina Negrín, und der Präsidentin des Verbands, Paula da Cruz Pinto, unterzeichnet wurde, insgesamt 45.000 Euro zur Verfügung. Durch dieses Abkommen möcht die Inselregierung Maßnahmen fördern, um das Wissen, die Techniken und die Fertigkeiten, die mit dem Kunsthandwerk auf Fuerteventura verbunden sind, zu schützen und an zukünftige Generationen weiterzugeben. Außerdem sollen die Bedeutung des Kunsthandwerks hervorgehoben sowie die Vereinigungskultur in diesem Sektor und die Vermarktung von Kunsthandwerksprodukten der Insel unterstützt werden. Mittels dieser Subvention erleichtert die Inselregierung Aktionen, die darauf ausgerichtet sind, die Arbeit des Vereins auf der Insel bekannt zu machen. Sie bezahlt unter anderem die laufenden Kosten sowie den Umbau des Handwerksladens von Betancuria. Die Vereinbarung zielt auch darauf ab, neben anderen Aktivitäten die Entwicklung einer Webseite zur Förderung und Vermarktung der Produkte der Kunsthandwerker, die Mitglieder des Vereins sind, sowie die rechtlichsteuerliche Beratung des Vereins zu unterstützen.

Comenzaron los cursos impartidos por los artesanos y artesanas en sus propios talleres FMHOY - Fuerteventura Tres artesanos de la Isla han comenzado a impartir cursos de formación en sus propios talleres, gracias a la iniciativa del Servicio de Artesanía del Cabildo de Fuerteventura. Con esta acción formativa, que se desarrolla en los talleres de los artesanos que se ubican en Las Playitas y Lajares, los alumnos y alumnas adquieren conocimientos en vidriería, almazuelas y patchwork tradicional, así como restauración y recuperación de mobiliario. La artesana Bianca Scarpari, imparte en su taller de Las Playitas, en el municipio de Tuineje, la formación en almazuelas y patchwork tradicional. Esta experta en almazuela realizó su formación con reconocidos maestros del patchwork en Italia, Francia, Alemania y España. El oficio de almazuelas consiste en la producción de objetos, mediante la unión de trozos de diferentes tamaños, colores y texturas para obtener superficies mayores. Con este curso práctico y teórico se pretende enseñar las técnicas del patchwork tradicional americano por medio de la costura a máquina y del acolchado a mano, ofreciendo a los participantes las herramientas necesarias para que aprendan a desarrollar sus propios proyectos. Bianca Scarpari ha manifestado su satisfacción por el desarrollo del taller. “Trabajo en este oficio desde hace más de 25 años y es importante poder compartirlo. Es muy importante que si alguien quiere aprender el oficio que sea en el mismo taller del artesano y de una manera tan personalizada como en este caso”, explicó la artesana, valorando además este tipo de iniciativas “para que los oficios artesanos no se pierdan”. También en Las Playitas, el artesano experto en vidriería, Guido Giovando, imparte esta formación que permite a los alumnos y alumnas familiarizarse con la técnica de manipulación de cristal “lampwork”, que se

realiza con soplete, y ‘vitrofusión y termoformado’, con horno. Giovando se ha formado en el oficio de vidrio de Murano de la mano de distintos maestros venecianos. Entre ellos, destacan Elena Rosso, Massimiliano Caldarone e Igor Balbi. Asimismo, la experta Rosa Delia Delgado imparte en Lajares, en el municipio de La Oliva, el taller de restauración de mobiliario, un oficio en el que se repa-

Beginning of courses animated by handcraft makers in their own workshops FMHOY - Fuerteventura Three handcraft makers of the Island have started animating training courses in their workshops thanks to the initiative of Fuerteventura’s Cabildo. With those training courses organised in the workshops of handcraft makers of Las Playitas and Lajares, students can acquire knowledge in glasswork, traditional patchwork and furniture renovation. The handcraft maker Bianca Scarpari animates the training course on traditional patchwork in her workshop of Las Playitas in the municipality of Tuineje. This expert in patchwork was trained by masters in Italy, France, Germany and Spain. The patchwork activity consists of sowing pieces of fabric of different sizes, colours and textures to obtain larger items. This practical and theory course aims at teaching the traditional American patchwork techniques with machine sowing and padding by hand and providing participants with the required tools to learn and develop their own projects. Bianca Scarpari has expressed her satisfaction with how the activity has been taking place. “I have been doing this kind of work for over 25 years and it is essen-

tial to share it. It is very important for the person who wants to learn to be able to come to the workshop of the handcraft maker for such a personal experience”, explained the handcraft maker who pointed out that this type of initiative helps to ensure that traditional handcrafts are not forgotten. Kunsthandwerker/innen geben Kurse in ihren eigenen Werkstätten FMHOY - Fuerteventura Drei Kunsthandwerker von der Insel haben dank der Initiative des Handwerksdienstes des Cabildo von Fuerteventura damit begonnen, in ihren eigenen Werkstätten Schulungskurse zu geben. Im Rahmen dieses Ausbildungsangebots, das in den Werkstätten der Kunsthandwerker in Las Playitas und Lajares stattfindet, erwerben die Kursteilnehmer Kenntnisse in den Bereichen Glasverarbeitung, traditionelles Patchwork sowie in der Restaurierung und Wiederherstellung von Möbeln. Die Kunsthandwerkerin Bianca Scarpari, unterrichtet in ihrer Werkstatt in Las Playitas, in der Gemeinde Tuineje, verschiedene Patchworkarten. Diese Expertin für Almazuela wurde bei renommierten Patchwork-Meistern in Italien, Frankreich, Deutschland und Spanien ausgebildet. Das Handwerk Almazuela besteht aus der Herstellung von Gegenständen, indem Stoffteile in verschiedenen

Größen, Farben und Texturen zu größeren Flächen zusammengefügt werden. Dieser praktische und theoretische Kurs zielt darauf ab, den Teilnehmern die Techniken des traditionellen amerikanischen Patchworks mit Hilfe von maschinellem Nähen und Handquilten und das notwendige Wissen zu vermitteln, damit sie ihre

eigenen Projekte entwickeln können. Bianca Scarpari hat ihre Zufriedenheit über den Verlauf des Workshops zum Ausdruck gebracht. “Ich arbeite seit mehr als 25 Jahren in diesem Beruf und es ist wichtig, dass ich diese Erfahrung weitergeben kann. Es ist sehr wichtig, dass, wenn jemand das Handwerk erlernen möchte, dies in der Werkstatt des Handwerkers und auf eine so persönliche Art und Weise wie in diesem Fall geschieht”, erklärte die Handwerkerin und hob die Bedeutung derartiger Initiativen hervor, “damit das Handwerk nicht verloren geht”. Ebenfalls in Las Playitas bietet der erfahrene Glashandwerker Guido Giovando eine Ausbildung an, die es den Schülern ermöglicht, sich mit der Technik “Lampwork” mit einem Brenner sowie und “Glasfusion und Thermoformung” im Ofen vertraut zu machen. Giovando wurde im Glashandwerk in Murano von verschiedenen venezianischen Meistern ausgebildet. Zu ihnen gehören Elena Rosso, Massimiliano Caldarone und Igor Balbi. Die Expertin Rosa Delia Delgado unterrichtet auch die Werkstatt für Möbelrestaurierung in Lajares, in der Gemeinde La Oliva. Dieses Handwerk dient der Reparatur von Möbeln, um ihr ursprüngliches Aussehen wiederherzustellen. Ziel dieses Workshops ist es, den Teilnehmern grundlegende theoretische und praktische Kenntnisse zu vermitteln, indem sie Arbeitstechniken, die Verwendung von Farben und Lacken sowie den

Einsatz spezifischer Werkzeuge erlernen. Rosa Delia Delgado wurde an der Schule für angewandte Kunst und Kunsthandwerk in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria und Madrid ausgebildet.

Inauguración del VI Foro de Agroecología y Biodiversidad en Canarias FMHOY - Fuerteventura El consejero de Sector Primario del Cabildo de Fuerteventura, Marcelino Cerdeña, y el director del Instituto Canario de Calidad Agroalimentaria, Basilio Pérez, inauguraron el pasado mes de diciembre, el VI Foro de Agroecología y Biodiversidad en Canarias, en un acto moderado por Margarita Hernández García, miembro del ICCA y del Programa Ecocomedores de Canarias. El VI Foro de Agroecología y Biodiversidad en Canarias se celebraría los días 11 y 12 de diciembre, de forma telemática desde el Hotel Mirador de Fuerteventura, en Puerto del Rosario. La iniciativa estuvo organizada por la Consejería de Agricultura, Ganadería y Pesca del Gobierno de Canarias, a través del Instituto Canario de Calidad Agroalimentaria (ICCA), y contó con la colaboración de la Corporación insular, la Consejería de Educación del Gobierno de Canarias y otras entidades. Según expuso Marcelino Cerdeña en su intervención, “es intención del Cabildo de Fuerteventura continuar apoyando este tipo de iniciativas para impulsar el crecimiento de la agricultura ecológica en la Isla y en todo el Archipiélago”. Cerdeña añadió además que “es necesario poner en valor el trabajo de nuestros antepasados, que ya ponían en práctica este tipo de agricultura natural” y que “este es el camino a seguir para apoyar una agricultura cada día más sana y natural”. La VI edición contaría con el VI Encuentro de Operadores Ecológicos, el IV Encuentro de Ecocomedores de Canarias y el II Encuentro de Responsables de Gestión Pública, en formato de taller telemático. Asimismo,

se desarrollaron conferencias sobre salud, un taller ecogastronómico a cargo de cocineros y cocineras de

ecocomedores y la proyección del cortometraje “Vida y agroecología en Fuerteventura”, entre otras actividades.

Treffen der Ökobetreiber, das IV. Treffen der Ecocomedores (ökologische Mensen) der Kanarenund das II. Treffen der Manager der öffentlichen Verwaltung in Form von telematischen Workshops statt. Es gab neben anderen Aktivitäten auch Konferenzen zum Thema Gesundheit, einen öko-gastronomischen Workshop, der von Köchen aus Öko-Restaurants gegeben wurde, und die Vorführung des Kurzfilms “Leben und Agrarökologie auf Fuerteventura”.

Alrededor de cuarenta jóvenes son galardonados en la entrega de premios de Maxoarte Joven 2020 FMHOY - Fuerteventura El Cabildo de Fuerteventura reconocía el talento y creatividad de alrededor de cuarenta jóvenes de la isla en la entrega de los premios Maxoarte Joven 2020, celebrada el pasado mes de diciembre, en el Palacio de Formación y Congresos de Fuerteventura. Los premios fueron entregados por la consejera de Juventud, María Jesús de la Cruz, los consejeros del grupo de gobierno Marlene Figueroa y Pau Quiles, así como por las consejeras de la oposición Lola García y Jessica de León. Para amenizar la gala, las actuaciones musicales corrieron a cargo de los ganadores en las categorías de danza urbana, música clásica, canción de autor y poprock, así como de la joven Marta Umpiérrez, cantautora majorera que ha alcanzado gran repercusión con vídeos como “Cuarentena”, que supera el millón de visitas en Facebook, o su reciente single “Abracadabra”, en el que hace un alegato contra la violencia machista.

El certamen se realiza con la intención de fomentar, promover y reconocer la creatividad de los muchos jóvenes de la isla que poseen grandes y talentosas habilidades creativas y artísticas. Desde el área de Juventud se persigue además continuar dando espacios para los jóvenes talentos a lo largo de todo el año. Esta edición ha destacado por el alto número de participantes, habiéndose presentado 236 obras en total, lo que supone un incremento de 101 trabajos más con respecto a los entregados el año pasado en este certamen, en las modalidades de fotografía, diseño gráfico, diseño textil, pintura/dibujo artístico, escultura/instalación, cómic, mural/grafiti, literatura, música, danza urbana y cortometraje. Los ganadores reciben una cuantía de 600 euros por el primer premio, 300 euros por el segundo premio y 150 euros por el tercer premio.

Ungefähr vierzig junge Menschen wurden bei der Preisverleihung von Maxoarte Joven 2020 ausgezeichnet FMHOY - Fuerteventura Das Cabildo von Fuerteventura würdigte bei der Preisverleihung der Maxoarte-Jugendpreise 2020, die im vergangenen Dezember im Schulungs- und Kongresszentrum von Fuerteventura stattfand, das Talent und die Kreativität von rund vierzig jungen Menschen von der Insel. Die Preise wurden von der Beauftragten für Jugend, María Jesús de la Cruz, den Stadträten der Regierungsfraktion, Marlene Figueroa und Pau Quiles, sowie den Stadträtinnen der Opposition, Lola García und Jessica de León, überreicht. Zur Auflockerung der Galagaben gab es musikalische Darbietungen der Gewinner in den Kategorien Urban Dance, klassische Musik, Songwriting und Pop-Rock sowie der jungen Marta Umpiérrez. Sie ist eine Liedermacherin aus Fuerteventura, die mit Videos wie ‚Cuarantena’, das auf Facebook über eine Million Aufrufe hat, oder ihrer aktuellen Single ‚Abracadabra‘, einem Plädoyer gegen Männergewalt, für Aufsehen gesorgt hat. Der Wettbewerb hat das Ziel, die Kreativität der vielen jungen Menschen auf der Insel, die über große und talentierte kreative und künstlerische Fähigkeiten verfügen zu fördern und anzuerkennen. Das Amt für Jugend bemüht sich auch weiterhin, die jungen Talente das ganze Jahr über zu unterstützen. Around forty young people are rewarded during Maxoarte Joven 2020

FMHOY - Fuerteventura Fuerteventura’s Cabildo rewarded the talent and creativity of around forty young people of the island during the presentation of the Maxoarte Joven 2020 prizes that took place, in December, in the Training and Congress Centre of Fuerteventura. The prizes were presented by the Youth councillor, María Jesús de la Cruz, the councillors of the government group, Marlene Figueroa and Pau Quiles, as well as the councillors from the opposition Lola García and Jessica de León. The gala was animated with musical acts from the winners of the urban dance, classical music, author songs and pop-rock categories, as well as Marta Umpiérrez, the young local singer-songwriter who has become quite famous with videos such as “Cuarentena”, that has recorded over one million views on Facebook, or with her recent single “Abracadabra”, a song against sexist violence. The contest aims at promoting and rewarding the

creativity of young people from the island who have many creative and artistic abilities. The Youth council also plans to keep on creating events for young talents all year round. This edition stood out for the high number of participants. Indeed, a total of 236 creations were presented, which represents an increase of 101 compared with last year. The modalities of the contest were photography, graphic design, textile design, artistic painting/drawing, sculpture, comics, murals/ graffiti, literature, music, urban dance and short films. The winners received 600 Euros for the first prize, 300 Euros for the second and 150 Euros for the third prize.

El Palacio de Formación y Congresos de Fuerteventura acogió la actuación de las agrupaciones de la sede de Puerto del Rosario de la EIMF

Éxito de los Conciertos de Navidad 2020 de la Escuela Insular de Música FMHOY - Fuerteventura La Escuela Insular de Música celebra esta semana sus Conciertos de Navidad 2020, bajo el lema ‘Esta Navidad, regálate Música’, en tres municipios diferentes de la Isla. El Palacio de Formación y Congresos de Fuerteventura acogió la actuación de las agrupaciones de la Escuela Insular de Música, con un gran éxito de público. La Escuela Insular de Música volvió a brillar con la ac-

tuación de los grupos de folclore de las sedes de Puerto del Rosario y Casillas del Ángel, Orquesta de Cuerda, Coro Infantil y Juvenil, Coro Femenino Senior, Grupo de Percusión y Coro de Adultos. Estas agrupaciones se unieron para interpretar en conjunto el villancico ‘Lo Divino’, una pieza que fue dirigida por el compositor y profesor de música del IES Puerto del Rosario, José Recio, quien hizo además los arreglos de la canción. El evento se transmitió asimismo vía streaming, y fue seguido con gran éxito desde Fuerteventura e incluso otras partes del mundo. QUIÉN ES QUIEN EN FUERTEVENTURA

“Vamos a intentar transformar el modelo económico reforzando a la vez el que ya tenemos” FMHOY - Fuerteventura Como cada mes de enero, abre nuestro primer magazine del 2021 el Presidente del Cabildo Blas Acosta. Queremos saber a través de su visión cual es el resumen de este pasado y duro año y cómo se proyecta el que estamos comenzando. ¿Que nos puede contar? Este año es difícil expresar con palabras todo lo que quisiera transmitirles, pero desde luego felicitar a todos los ciudadanos por haber soportado estoicamente todas las dificultades que hemos tenido durante este año y también la cantidad de sueños rotos que esta pandemia ha provocado. Quiero hacer un llamamiento a la esperanza, para que cada uno retome de nuevo la ilusión y como lo que todos tenemos libre es el pensamiento, pedirles que lo usen de la forma más positiva, porque esto nos ayudará a salir adelante. Este es un momento histórico, el que nos ha tocado vivir y está poniendo a prueba a la humanidad y también a la sociedad de cada país. Se dice que cada generación vive una guerra y parece que aunque es muy diferente, es la que nos ha tocado vivir. Sí es una guerra, que nos ha llevado a la humildad y a la realidad, pero creo que tampoco como sociedad nos merecíamos vivir algo tan penoso.

Parece ser que eso aún tardará unos meses y la población es consciente de que aún nos espera un año difícil. Nos esperan más de un año difícil, esto tardará algunos años en normalizarse. Vivimos una gran incertidumbre que no puede prever cómo se va a desarrollar esta situación, lo mismo que nadie pudo prever lo que nos llegó. Creo que ha servido a todas las autoridades, tanto nacionales como europeas, para que tengan previsto este tipo de incidencias y sepan amoldarse y tener conocimiento de cómo actuar en un futuro. Lo siguiente es esperar que con los avances de la ciencia podamos tener pronto una vacuna. Ahora parece que todo el mundo toma conciencia de la importancia de la investigación… Lo importante es que la investigación dé resultados, porque se ha gastado mucho dinero en investigación y o no se ha avanzado o se ha hecho con unos plazos demasiado holgados. ¿Podría dar un mensaje de esperanza a la población? Me encantaría poder hacerlo, pero no quiero dar pie a críticas, dado que la situación política en este país está muy enrarecida, todo es desprestigio y con facilidad se da la vuelta a todo lo que se dice. La oposición no aporta, su única intención es llamar la atención y enturbiar más el panorama. Lo que sí quiero decir a la ciudadanía, es que se va a intentar transformar el modelo económico reforzando a la vez el que ya tenemos. Pero para ello tenemos que cambiar leyes urbanísticas y desburocratizar el sistema, ya que es terrible la lentitud y complejidad en la tramitación de cada expediente. Una de nuestras metas es que ya para este año podamos tener una administración mucho más ágil que la que teníamos. Esto es importante, porque es desesperante tanto para las personas que necesitan cualquier cosa, como para los propios cargos públicos que no consiguen llevar adelante los proyectos por la burocracia. Los ciudadanos, piensan que los políticos no quieren hacerlo, y no es el caso. El trabajador que tiene la suerte de cobrar un sueldo público en este momento, debe agilizar los trámites para que, los no tienen ese sueldo público, puedan tener actividad económica y me niego a seguir perdiendo el tiempo en ese sentido. ¿Algo más que transmitir a nuestros lectores? Puedo comunicar a la población que nosotros como isla, en estos meses de pandemia, hemos tomado la iniciativa en desburocratizar las normas y tanto es así que el Gobierno de Canarias nos ha tomado en cuenta; tanto en decisiones sanitarias, como en proyectos urbanísticos y en esa línea seguimos trabajando. Por primera vez el gobierno insular ha dado la razón a un Cabildo de una isla menor. Y en esa línea vamos a seguir trabajando, con intención de potenciar nuestra industria, la turística, pero con mano firme en la diversidad económica, en otros productos en los que ya se está trabando y que posiblemente pueden hacer un cambio de paradigma. Tenemos que abrirnos hacía el exterior, ser plataforma de desarrollo con África y establecer aquí nuevas industrias que transformen nuestra economía. Y ya solo me queda desear a toda la población serenidad y paciencia en este nuevo 2021.

“Wir werden versuchen, das ökonomische Modell zu erneuern und gleichzeitig das bestehende zu stärken” FMHOY - Fuerteventura Wie jedes Jahr im Januar wird auch unser erstes Magazin 2021 vom Präsidenten des Cabildo Blas Acosta eröffnet. Wir wollen von ihm einen Rückblick auf dieses harte vergangene Jahr erhalten underfahren, wie das Jahr, das wir beginnen, aussehen wird. Was können Sie uns darüber erzählen? In diesem Jahr ist es schwierig, alles in Worte zu fassen, was ich Ihnen vermitteln möchte, aber natürlich möchte ich alle Bürgerinnen und Bürger dazu beglückwünschen, dass sie alle Schwierigkeiten, die wir in diesem Jahr hatten und die zerstörten Träume, die diese Pandemie verursacht hat, stoisch ertragen haben. Ich möchte zur Hoffnung aufrufen, damit jeder von uns sich wieder auf etwas freuen kann, und da wir alle frei denken können, möchte ich Sie bitten, dies auf die positivste Weise zu tun, denn das wird uns helfen voranzukommen. Dies ist ein historischer Moment, den wir erleben müssen, und er stellt die Menschheit und auch die Gesellschaft jedes Landes auf die Probe. Man sagt, dass jede Generation einen Krieg erlebt, und es scheint, dass dieses unserer ist, auch wenn er sich von den herkömmlichen unterscheidet. Ja, es ist ein Krieg, der uns bescheiden gemacht und uns die Realität vor Augen geführt hat, aber ich bin nicht der Meinung, dass unsere Gesellschaft es verdient hat, etwas so trauriges zu erleben. Es scheint, dass dies noch Monate andauern wird, und die Bevölkerung ist sich bewusst, dass sie ein schweres Jahr erwartet. Wir haben mehr als ein schwieriges Jahr vor uns, denn es wird einige Jahre dauern, bis wir wieder zur Normalität zurückkehren können. Wir leben in einer großen Unsicherheit und können nicht vorhersehen, wie sich diese Situation entwickeln wird, so wie niemand vorhersehen konnte, was auf uns zugekommen ist. Ich glaube, dass es für alle Behörden, sowohl auf nationaler als auch auf europäischer Ebene, nützlich wär, diese Art von Vorfällen vorhersehen zu können und zu wissen, wie man in Zukunft handeln muss. Als nächstes hoffen wir, dass wir dank der Fortschritte der Wissenschaft bald einen Impfstoff haben werden. Es scheint, dass allen auf einmal die Bedeutung der Forschung bewusst wird… Das Wichtige ist, dass die Untersuchungen zu Ergebnissen führen, denn es wurde viel Geld in die Forschung investiert, ohne dass Fortschritte gemacht wurden;oder die Fristen waren zu locker. Könnten Sie der Bevölkerung eine hoffnungsvolle Botschaft übermitteln? Das würde ich gerne tun, aber ich möchte nicht zu Kritik Anlass geben, denn die politische Situation in diesem Land ist sehr seltsam geworden, alles wird diskreditiert und alles, was man sagt, wird falsch dargestellt. Die Opposition trägt nichts Positives bei, ihre einzige Absicht ist es, die Aufmerksamkeit auf sich zu lenken und das Bild weiter zu trüben. Was ich den Bürgern sagen möchte, ist, dass man versuchen wird, das Wirtschaftsmodell umzugestalten und gleichzeitig das bereits bestehende Modell zu stärken. Aber dazu müssen wir die städtischen Baugesetze ändern und die Bürokratie des Systems abbauen, denn die Langsamkeit und Komplexität der Bearbeitung jedes einzelnen Falles ist schrecklich. Eines unserer Ziele ist es, dass wir schon in diesem Jahr eine wesentlich agilere Verwaltung haben werden als bisher. Das ist wichtig, denn es ist schrecklich für alle - sowohl für die Personen, die etwas brauchen, als auch für die Personen, die ein öffentliches Amt haben und es aufgrund der Bürokratie nicht schaffen, ihre Projekte umzusetzen. Die Bürger denken, dass die Politiker nichts tun möchten, aber das stimmt nicht. Der Angestellte, der das Glück hat, in dieser Zeit ein Gehalt vom Staat zu bekommen, muss dafür sorgen, dass die Formalitäten schneller erledigt werden, damit diejenigen, die nicht vom Staat bezahlt werden, einen eigenen Betrieb haben können. Ich weigere mich, dafür Zeit zu verlieren. Möchten Sie unseren Lesern noch etwas sagen? Ich kann der Bevölkerung mitteilen, dass wir als Insel in diesen Monaten der Pandemie die Initiative ergriffen haben, um die Bürokratie der Vorschriften abzubauen, und zwar so sehr, dass die kanarische Regierung uns sowohl bei gesundheitspolitischen Entscheidungen als auch bei Stadtplanungsprojekten berücksichtigt hat, und dass wir weiterhin in diesem Sinne arbeiten.

Zum ersten Mal hat sich die Inselregierung mit einer lokalen Regierung einer kleineren Insel geeinigt. Und wir werden in dieser Richtung weiterarbeiten, mit der Absicht, unsere Industrie, den Tourismus, weiterzuentwickeln. Wir setzen dabei auf die wirtschaftliche Vielfalt in anderen Bereichen, die sich bereits in der Entwicklung befinden und die möglicherweise einen Paradigmenwechsel herbeiführen können. Wir müssen uns nach außen öffnen, eine Plattform für die Entwicklung in Afrika sein und hier neue Industrien aufbauen, die unsere Wirtschaft verändern werden. Jetzt bleibt mir nur noch, allen Menschen in diesem neuen Jahr 2021 Gelassenheit und Geduld zu wünschen.

“We are going to try and transform our economic model by reinforcing the existing one” FMHOY - Fuerteventura As it has become the custom every January, the President of the Cabildo, Blas Acosta, opens our new 2021 magazine. We want to find out his views on the past tough year and how he feels about the year that is just starting. What can you tell us? This year, it is difficult to express in words everything that I would like to say to you, but of course, I would like to congratulate the whole population for their stoic

support with all the difficulties that we faced this year and also all the broken dreams that were caused by the pandemic. I appeal for hope so that everyone can start having dreams again and as we are free to choose our thoughts, I would ask everyone to concentrate on positive ones because this is what will help us prevail. This is a historical moment that is testing humanity and society in each country. We say that each generation endures a war and it seems that although it is very different, this is what we have gone through. Indeed, this is a war that has made us humble and aware of reality. But I also believe that as a society, we didn’t deserve to live something so horrific. It seems that this will last another few months and the population is aware that we have another difficult year ahead. We have more than one difficult year ahead of us, it will take a few years to go back to normal. We are going through great uncertainty as we don’t know how the situation is going to develop, just like no one could have foreseen what already happened. I believe that this has made all the authorities, both national and European, prepare themselves for this type of incident and learn how to adjust and have the knowledge of how to act in the future. Then, we hope that with the progress of science, a vaccine will soon be available. It seems that everyone is now becoming aware of the importance of research... What matters is for research to bring results, because a lot of money has been spent on research and there hasn’t been any progress or the delays have been too long. Could you give a message of hope to the population? I would love to be able to do it, but I don’t want to provoke critics, given how tense the political situation is in this country, everything is discredited and what is said is easily deformed. The opposition doesn’t contribute, it only aims at attracting attention and blurring the panorama. However, what I would like to tell the population is that we are going to try and

change the economic model by reinforcing the existing one. But, in order to do it, we need to change urban laws and lighten the bureaucracy of the system, because the slowness and complexity of each procedure are terrible. One of our goals this year is to make the administration a lot more flexible. This is important because it is exasperating for people who need to have something done and for the councillors themselves who are unable to make progress in their projects because of the bureaucracy. The population thinks that politicians don’t want to do it, but this is not the case. The employee who is fortunate enough to be paid by the public sector at the moment must speed up processes so that, people who don’t get public wages, can carry out their own economic activity and I refuse to keep on wasting time this way. What else would you like to share with our readers? I can announce to the population that as an island, during those months of the pandemic, we took the initiative to lighten up the bureaucracy concerning the norms, so much so, that the Canarian Government has followed us, for both healthcare decisions and urban projects and this is the way we will keep on working. For the first time, the island’s government has backed up the Cabildo of a smaller island. And this is how we are going to keep on working to strengthen our industry, tourism, but also working strongly on economic diversity with other products that we are already working on and that could possibly create a new model. We need to open up towards the exterior, become a development platform with Africa and establish new industries that will transform our economy. And now, I would like to wish the whole population serenity and patience for this new year 2021.

“Mi motivación general es dejar las cosas un poquito mejor de lo que las encontré” FMHOY - Fuerteventura Lilian Concepción es la concejala del Ayuntamiento de Puerto responsable de Igualdad, Feminismo y LGTBI, Movilidad y Accesibilidad, (estas dos últimas son áreas de nueva creación), Medio Ambiente, Juventud, Parques y Zonas Verdes, y nos ha recibido para hablarnos de sus proyectos en desarrollo y también porque deseamos conocerla un poco más. ¿Puede hablarnos un poco de su trayectoria personal hasta llegar a este puesto político? Entrar en política no estaba entre mis proyectos, aunque en mi casa siempre he respirado este ambiente a través de mi familia. Mi padre participo en movimientos juveniles, luchando contra el fascismo en la post-guerra y la dictadura y mi madre siempre militó en el partido socialista a pesar de que mi abuelo también político era falangista. Yo era militante de Izquierda Unida, hasta que surgió Unidas Podemos que es el partido en que me encuentro en la actualidad y cuando se formaron las listas di el paso al frente con el apoyo de mis compañeros y aquí estoy. Es raro que en la misma familia se salte de un extremo a otro, así que el ambiente tuvo que ser muy político…. ¿Cuál era su profesión antes de este cargo? Yo pertenezco a la generación de la crisis, por lo que me ha correspondido hacer un poquito de todo. Aunque soy técnico en comercio, he realizado varios trabajos, lo que ha ido surgiendo para poder trabajar. Nos gustaría que, tras más de un año en su puesto, nos hablara de sus inquietudes y proyectos en cada una de sus áreas. Mi motivación general es dejar las cosas un poquito mejor de lo que las encontré. En las dos concejalías de nueva creación, por medio de dos subvenciones nominadas, hemos realizado actos conjuntamente con dos asociaciones: En Igualdad, con Arena y Laurisilva, se están haciendo en zonas rurales unos puntos de información sobre la violencia de género y mostrándoles que recursos están al alcance de esas mujeres, etc. Y en el are a de LGTBI, junto con

Altihay tratamos de dar visibilidad y apoyo a todas estas personas las personas de este colectivo. En el área de accesibilidad y movilidad sostenible, a la que tengo mucho cariño, nos enfrentamos a que el municipio parece pensado para solo una parte de la sociedad y queremos que todas las personas puedan disfrutar de él. En lo que llevamos de año, lo primero que se hizo fue sacar la ordenanza de accesibilidad que nació en los círculos de Podemos de Valencia y Canarias y fue muy participada por distintas asociaciones y luego creamos el Consejo de Accesibilidad, en el que están representadas las concejalias que son afectadas trasversalmente, así como los colegios de arquitectos

y aparejadores, colectivos de personas afectadas y personal técnico de Ayuntamiento. La ley anterior que era del año 1995, y que está obsoleta no se llegó a cumplir. Hay que arreglar en la calle 20 años de dejadez. Y de Medioambiente estamos haciendo un estudio fitosanitario de todas las palmeras del municipio, y también ver si alguna puedes caerse y representa algún peligro. Y preocuparnos de controlar el trabajo de la empresa que tiene adjudicado el mantenimiento. En Parques y zonas verdes, tanto mi equipo como yo nos hemos implicado muchísimo y empapado en el pliego técnico que es casi mi libro de cabecera.

Lilian Concepción Alvares – Councillor for Equality, Feminism and LGTBI, Mobility and Accessibility, Environment, Youth, Park and Green Areas of the Ayuntamiento

“My main motivation is to leave things a little better than how I found them when I arrived” FMHOY - Fuerteventura Lilian Concepción is the Councillor at Puerto del Rosario’s Ayuntamiento for Equality, Feminism and LGTBI, Mobility and Accessibility (those last two were recently created), Environment, Youth, Park and Green Areas. She met with us to talk about her projects and also because we wanted to get to know her a bit better. Can you tell us a little about your personal trajectory until you got to this position in politics? Getting involved in politics wasn’t one of my projects, although I had always been around that environment at home through my family. My father was involved in youth movements, fighting against fascism after the war and the dictatorship and my mother was an active member of the socialist party although my grandfather was also involved in politics as a member of the Falange party. I was an active member of Izquierda Unida until Unidas Podemos was created, which is the party that I am currently a member of. When they created the lists, I went on with the support of my colleagues and here I am. It is strange to have such extremes within one family, the ambience must have been very political... What was your occupation before taking on this position? I belong to the crisis generation, which means that I’ve had to do a bit of everything. Although I am a commercial technician, I have had various jobs, whatever came along in order to work. After one year in position, can you please tell us about

your concerns and projects in each of the areas you look after? My main motivation is to leave things a little better than how I found them when I arrived. In the two newly created councils, thanks to the financial support we received, we carried out initiatives with

two associations: For Equality, with Arena y Laurisilva, we are creating some information points in rural areas on gender violence and showing that those women have resources available, etc. And for the area of LGTBI, together with Altihay, we are trying to give some visibility and support to all the people included in this group. As for sustainable accessibility and mobility, which I care about a lot, we are faced with the feeling that the municipality was made for one part of society only, and we want everyone to be able to enjoy it. Initially, the first thing we did was the decree on accessibility that was created in the circles of Podemos in Valencia and the Canaries. It was supported by various associations, and then we created the Council for Accessibility, where other councils that are concerned are also represented such as the architects and building engineers, the groups of people affected and technical staff from the Ayuntamiento. The previous law dated back to 1995, was obsolete and never complied with. We have 20 years of neglect to catch up with. Regarding the Environment Council, we are carrying out a phytosanitary survey of all the palm trees of the Municipality, and we are checking if some of them could fall and represent a danger. We are also checking on the work carried out by the company that is handling the maintenance on our behalf. For Parks and Green Areas, both my team and I have been extremely involved and absorbed in the technical paperwork which has almost become my bedtime reading.

“Generell motiviert mich die Vorstellung, die Dinge etwas besser zu hinterlassen, als ich sie vorgefunden habe” FMHOY - Fuerteventura Lilian Concepción, die Beauftragte für Gleichberechtigung, Feminismus und LGTBI,Mobilität und Zugänglichkeit(diese beiden Zuständigkeitsbereiche sind neu),Umwelt, Jugend, Parks und Grünräume im Rathaus von Puerto, hat uns empfangen, um uns etwas über ihre laufenden Projekte zu erzählen. Außerdem hatten wir den Wunsch, sie besser kennenzulernen. Können Sie uns etwas über Ihren persönlichen Werdegang erzählen, bis Sie dieses politische Amt bekommen haben? Ich hatte nicht vor, in die Politik zu gehen, obwohl ich zu Hause durch meine Familie von diesem Milieu geprägt wurde. Mein Vater engagierte sich in Jugendbewegungen, kämpfte gegen den Faschismus in der Nachkriegszeit und gegen die Diktatur.Meine Mutter war immer Mitglied der sozialistischen Partei, und auch mein Großvater war Politiker. Ich war Aktivistin von Izquierda Unida bis Podemos gegründet wurde, das ist die Partei, in der ich heute bin. Als die Listen aufgestellt wurden, habe ich mit Unterstützung meiner Genossinnen und Genossen den Schritt nach vorne gemacht, und hier bin ich. Es ist selten, dassman in einer Familie von einem Extrem zum anderen kommt, also muss das Umfeld sehr politisch gewesen sein…. Welchen Beruf hatten Sie, bevor Sie dieses Amt ausübten? Ich gehöre der Krisengeneration an und musste folglich so gut wie alles machen. Ich bin zwar kaufmännische Fachkraft, aber ich habe in verschiedenen Bereichen gearbeitet und das gemacht, was mir angeboten wurde. Nun sind Sie drei Jahre in diesem Amt. Wir bitten Sie, uns etwas Ihre Sorgen und über Ihre laufenden Projekte in jedem Ihrer Zuständigkeitsbereiche zu erzählen.

Meine allgemeine Motivation ist es, die Dinge ein wenig besser zu hinterlassen, als ich sie vorgefunden habe. In den beiden neu geschaffenen Bereichen haben wir mit Hilfe von zwei Subventionen zusammen mit zwei Vereinen Veranstaltungen organisiert: Im Bereich Gleichberechtigung machen wir zusammen mit Arena und Laurisilva Informationsstände über geschlechtsspezifische Gewalt in ländlichen Gebieten und erklären, welche Ressourcen für diese Frauen zur Verfügung stehen usw. Und im Bereich LGTBI versuchen wir, zusammen mit Altihay, all diese Menschen zu unterstützen und sichtbar zu machen. Im Bereich der Zugänglichkeit und der nachhaltigen Mobilität, die mir sehr am Herzen liegen, sind wir mit der Tatsache konfrontiert, dass die Gemeinde nur für einen Teil der Gesellschaft konzipiert zu sein scheint, und wir wollen, dass alle sie nutzen können. Bisher haben wir in diesem Jahr als erstes die Barrierefreiheitsverordnung herausgebracht, die in den Kreisen von Podemos in Valencia und auf den Kanarischen Inseln entstand und an der verschiedene Verbände sehr stark beteiligt waren. Dann haben wir den Rat für Zugänglichkeit gegründet, in dem die zuständigen Ämter sowie die Verbände der Architekten und der Vermesser, Gruppen von Betroffenen und das technische Personal der Stadtverwaltung vertreten sind. Das bisherige Gesetzaus dem Jahr 1995 ist inzwischen veraltet, außerdem wurde es nicht wirklich umgesetzt. Es muss nach 20 Jahren der Vernachlässigung auf der Straße umgesetzt werden. Und im Bereich Umwelt führen wir eine phytosanitäre Untersuchung aller Palmen in der Gemeinde durch, auch um zu sehen,welche umfallen und eine Gefahr darstellen können. Und wir sorgen dafür, dass die Arbeit des Unternehmens, das für die Instandhaltung zuständig ist, kontrolliert wird.

Im Bereich Parks und Grünanlagen waren mein Team und ich sehr involviert und haben uns in die technischen Fachbereiche eingearbeitet, was fast meine Lieblingslektüregeworden ist.

Felipe Nicolás Bobadilla – Artesano y emprendedor de la tienda FLYPART - Hecho a mano

“Hice un llamamiento a todos los artesanos para que pudieran traer sus trabajos y presentarlos aquí” FMHOY - Fuerteventura Se ha abierto en el Centro Comercial Atlántico, en Costa de Antigua, novedosa tienda de artículos realizados a mano de múltiples artesanos de la isla. Su propietario es Felipe Nicolás Bobadilla, artesano que lleva muchos años junto con su esposa y casi toda su familia, mostrando en la isla de Fuerteventura, sus variadas y bonitas creaciones. Su especialidad son los trabajos en cuero y la vitrofusión y nos cuenta que su padre era también ceramista en su Chile natal. Que valiente es abrir una tienda en estos tiempos, y más aún de solo artesanía, ¿Cuéntenos? Hemos realizado una puesta algo arriesgada, por los artículos realizados a mano. Contando con nuestra clientela de siempre y porque pensamos que es bonito llevar regalos a la vuelta de un viaje que tengan el valor de lo individual y lo artesano. Apostamos sobre todo por las cosas naturales y autóctonas y vamos rompiendo un poco el molde, nunca mejor dicho, de todo lo prefabricado y en realizado en serie.

Hice un llamamiento a todos los artesanos para que pudieran traer sus trabajos y presentarlos aquí si lo desean; algunos son de Las Palmas y de Tenerife y además algunos artículos están realizados por artesanos de otros países. Hemos traído de Nepal una línea artesanal de artículos de cáñamo, que es producto sostenible, tal y como se usaba antes; no se estropea, no coge hongos, es muy saludable.

Hay una gran variedad tanto de artículos como de precios, lo que será un gran aliciente para los regalos de Reyes y para obsequiar en cualquier época con algo diferente. La verdad que para ser un tiempo tan difícil, me siento contento y agradecido por la acogida recibida y el cariño del pueblo canario. Esperamos que podamos verla crecer y traer siempre nuevos artesanos que se den a conocer.

“I let all the other handcraft makers know that they could bring their creations and display them here” FMHOY - Fuerteventura A new shop has opened in Centro Comercial Atlántico in Costa de Antigua that sells handmade items created by various handcraft makers of the island. The owner is Felipe Nicolás Bobadilla, a handcraft maker who has been working for many years with his wife and family, exhibiting in Fuerteventura their varied and lovely creations. He specialises in leather and vitrofusion (glass fusing) and he tells us that his father was also a ceramist in Chile, where he is from. How courageous to open a shop at the moment, especially a handcraft shop. Can you tell us more about it? We have made a slightly risky move with handmade articles. We have our existing client base, and we believe that it is nice to bring back gifts from a trip that have value on a personal level and on a handcraft level. We concentrate on natural and indigenous items, and we tend to think outside the box, away from preassembled, mass production items.

I let all the handcraft makers know that they could bring their creations and exhibit them here if they wanted. Some come from Las Palmas and Tenerife and some even come from foreign countries. We have brought in a line of handmade products from Nepal made from hemp, which is a sustainable product, exactly as it was used before; it doesn’t get damaged, isn’t affected by fungus and is very healthy. There is a great variety of articles and prices, which is an incentive for Christmas and Reyes presents and for a different type of gift at anytime. In truth, considering the hard times we are going through, I am quite happy and thankful for the way people reacted to the shop and the kindness of the people from the Canaries. I hope that the shop will prosper and that we will be able to keep on presenting new handcraft makers.

“Ich habe alle Kunsthandwerker aufgefordert, FMHOY - Fuerteventura Im Einkaufszentrum Centro Comercial Atlántico, in Costa de Antigua, wurde ein innovatives Geschäft mit handgefertigten Artikeln eröffnet, die von mehreren Kunsthandwerkern der Insel hergestellt werden. Sein Besitzer ist Felipe Nicolás Bobadilla, ein Handwerker, der seit vielen Jahren mit seiner Frau und fast seiner ganzen Familie zusammenarbeitet und seine vielfältigen und schönen Kreationen auf der Insel Fuerteventura ausstellt und verkauft. Er hat sich auf Lederarbeiten und Glasfusing spezialisiert und erzählt uns, dass sein Vater in seiner Heimat Chile auch Keramiker war. Es ist sehr mutig, in dieser Zeit ein Geschäft zu eröffnen, noch dazu einen Kunsthandwerksladen.Was können Sie uns darüber erzählen? Wir haben auf etwas Riskantes gesetzt, auf von Hand gefertigte Artikel. Wir zählen auf unsere Stammkundschaft und wir finden, dass es schön ist, bei der Rückkehr von einer Reise Geschenke mitzubringen, die den Wert eines Einzelstücks und des Kunsthandwerks haben. Wir setzen vor allem auf das Natürliche und Autochthone und brechen ein wenig mit dem Schema von allem Vorgefertigten und Serienproduktion. Ich habe einen Aufruf an alle Kunsthandwerker gerichtet und sie aufgefordert, ihre Werke mitbringen und hier auszustellen. Einige Arbeiten kommen aus Las Palmas und Teneriffa, außerdem werden einige Artikel in anderen Ländern hergestellt. Wir haben eine handgefertigte Linie von Hanfartikeln aus Nepal. Es ist ein nachhaltiges Produkt, wie es früher verwendet wurde; es verdirbt nicht, bekommt keine Pilze, außerdem ist es sehr gesund. Es gibt sehr unterschiedliche Artikel und Preise, das ist ein großer Vorteil für das Dreikönigsfest und um in jeder Jahreszeit ein besonderes Geschenk zu machen.

Die Wahrheit ist, dass ich in dieser so schwierigen Zeit glücklich und dankbar dafür bin, dass der Laden bei der kanarischen Bevölkerung es so gut ankommt. Wir

hoffen, dass wir ihn wachsen sehen und immer wieder neue Kunsthandwerker dabei unterstützen können, sich einen Namen zu machen.

En este histórico emplazamiento “se hizo mayor” el fútbol grancanario

El mítico “campo de deportes España”, de Las Palmas Rubén Darío - Fuerteventura En 1915 el fútbol insular ya ha adquirido categoría de acontecimiento social, aunque los escasos terrenos habilitados para la práctica del popular deporte no están acorde con la pasión que la gente siente por él. Así es que la directiva del Marino F.C. se pone manos a la obra y decide arrendar un cercado propiedad del militar Domingo Padrón, o simplemente don Domingo, suficiente referencia para que todo el mundo sepa de quien se trata. En aquel solar se acondiciona un extraordinario terreno de juego que, inaugurado a finales de 1915, se convierte en la auténtica “catedral” del fútbol grancanario durante las siguientes dos décadas. Pero al cabo de un año y siendo imposible para la débil economía del conjunto azul mantener el alquiler del terreno, la directiva marinista lo deja en manos de su propietario. Así ocurre que D. Domingo se ve con una auténtica joya en sus manos, a la que va a sacar un extraordinario rendimiento, a la vez que proporcionará a la población local algunos de los más grandes espectáculos de la época. De rebote, y al ser el único campo en condiciones optimas para la práctica del fútbol en la ciudad, el señor Padrón se erige en el auténtico “amo” del ya lucrativo deporte. Bajo sus auspicios se organizarán en el futuro todos los campeonatos insulares y demás

torneos locales. Además, será el responsable del paso por Canarias de un buen número de equipos españoles y extranjeros que sirven a los jugadores y afición locales para romper con la monotonía de los partidos entre siempre los mismos cinco o seis equipos. Desde el Real Betis en 1919 hasta el Liverpool F.C. en 1935, la empresa del Campo España, gestionada por D. Domingo, hace posible que por el mítico recinto desfilen el Real Vigo, Raith Rover –conjunto profesional escocés−, Natación de Alicante –reforzado con varios “ases” de la época−, R.C.D. Español –en dos ocasiones−, Sevilla F.C., Selección de Budapest, Celta de Vigo, Victoria –de Portugal−, Selección Olímpica de Chile , Marítimo −de Funchal, en varias ocasiones−, C.D. Europa −de Barcelona−, Dep. Alavés, nuevamente el R. Betis, el Gimnasia y Esgrima de La Plata argentino, Madrid F.C. –en dos ocasiones−, Donostia, Ath. Bilbao, Nacional –de Funchal−, Combinado chileno-peruano −denominado “All Pacific”−, Ath. Madrid y Sport Club Automovilístico –de Portugal−. Todo ello además de los siempre vibrantes encuentros locales, con los Marino-Victoria a la cabeza y las visitas de los mejores conjuntos tinerfeños: C.D. Tenerife, Real Unión, Iberia, Hespérides, Salamanca… que despiertan siempre gran interés. Durante muchos años los domingos registran un míni-

mo de tres encuentros casi sin descanso. Los partidos de los campeonatos de tercera, segunda y primera categorías, hacen que “los más aficionados” se pasen medio domingo en las gradas del histórico estadio. Entre los futbolistas que tuvieron la ocasión de hacer las delicias de los aficionados grancanarios en el Campo España, aparte de los locales, encabezados por los internacionales José Padrón, Hilario o Luis Valle, los tinerfeños Baudet, Ángel Arocha, Semán, Quico, Morera, Arencibia, etc., hay que destacar a estrellas de la época como Samitier, Piera, Félix Pérez, Pasarín, Kinké, Spencer, Zamora, Vantolrá, Yurrita, Joao Dos Santos, Cros, Botasso, Arrillaga, Ciriaco, Quincoces, Luis Regueiro, Lazcano, Marculeta, Solé, Bosch, Blasco, Cilaurren, Lafuente, Iraragorri, Gorostiza, Elicegui, Artur Sousa “Pinga”, Cooper, … En realidad la lista sería realmente extensa. Pero ni mucho menos acababan los espectáculos en el Campo España con el fútbol. Su propietario supo sacarle mucho partido a aquel pedazo de tierra. Lucha Canaria, boxeo, carreras de galgos, corridas de toros, riñas de gallos,…además de cine, circo y varietés, se ofrecían a la población local, que tuvo en el inolvidable emplazamiento un lugar de esparcimiento en que entretenerse y hacer vida social y donde el fútbol grancanario se hizo mayor.

The mythical “campo de deportes España” in Las Palmas Rubén Darío - Fuerteventura In 1915, the island football had become quite a social event, although the small number of grounds created for the practice of this popular sport wasn’t in keeping with the passion it generated amongst the population. Therefore, the management of Marino F.C. decided to rent a plot that belonged to the soldier Domingo Padrón, don Domingo, as he was known by everyone. They created an extraordinary football ground on that plot that was inaugurated at the end of 1915 and became the authentic football “cathedral” of Gran Canaria for the following two decades. But after one year, it became impossible for the budget of the club to keep on renting the plot and the management of Marino F.C. decided to give it back to the owner. This is how don Domingo ended up with a jewel from which he was going to make large profits while providing the population with some of the greatest events at the time. Furthermore, as this was the only ground in optimal conditions for the practice of football in the town, M Padrón became a true master of this already lucrative sport. He then helped organise all the island championships and other local tournaments. Moreover, he made it possible for quite a few Spanish and foreign teams

to come and play in the Canaries which enable local players and fans to get a break from the monotony of games amongst the same five or six teams. From Real Betis in 1919 to Liverpool F.C. in 1935, Campo España, a company managed by D. Domingo, made it possible for the mythical venue to welcome teams such as Real Vigo, Raith Rover (professional Scottish team), Natación de Alicante, reinforced with various star players at the time, R.C.D. Español, on two occasions, Sevilla F.C., the Selection from Budapest, Celta de Vigo, Victoriafrom Portugal, the Olympic Selection from Chile, Marítimofrom Funchal, on various occasions, C.D. Europafrom Barcelona, Dep. Alavés, renamed R. Betis, the Gimnasia y Esgrima from La Plata in Argentina, Madrid F.C., on two occasions, Donostia, Ath. Bilbao, Nacionalfrom Funchal, the Combined team from Chile et Peru called “All Pacific”, Ath. Madrid and Sport Club Automovilístico from Portugal. Not forgetting the exciting local matches with Marino-Victoria and the visits from the best teams from Tenerife: C.D. Tenerife, Real Unión, Iberia, Hespérides, Salamanca... that always raised a lot of interest. For many years, a minimum of three encounters, almost without any breaks, took place on Sundays. The

third, second and first division championship matches meant that the greatest fans would spend half their Sunday in the stands of this historical stadium. Amongst the football players who entertained the fans from Gran Canaria on Campo España, apart from the local players, there were international players such as José Padrón, Hilario or Luis Valle, from Tenerife: Baudet, Ángel Arocha, Semán, Quico, Morera, Arencibia, etc., we should point out some star players at the time such as Samitier, Piera, Félix Pérez, Pasarín, Kinké, Spencer, Zamora, Vantolrá, Yurrita, Joao Dos Santos, Cros, Botasso, Arrillaga, Ciriaco, Quincoces, Luis Regueiro, Lazcano, Marculeta, Solé, Bosch, Blasco, Cilaurren, Lafuente, Iraragorri, Gorostiza, Elicegui, Artur Sousa “Pinga”, Cooper,... in truth, the list could be very long indeed. But Campo España was not limited to hosting football matches. The owner was clever when creating profits from his plot of land. Canarian wrestling, boxing, greyhound races, Corridas with bulls, rooster fights, … in addition to the cinema, circus and variety shows, it all happened at this unforgettable entertainment and social event location, which is also where the football from Gran Canaria was made greater.

Der legendäre Sportplatz “Campo de deportes España” in Las Palmas Rubén Darío - Fuerteventura Im Jahr 1915 hatte der Inselfußball bereits den Status eines gesellschaftlichen Ereignisses erlangt, obwohl die wenigen Sportplätze, die für die Ausübung dieses Sports geeignet waren, nicht der Leidenschaft gerecht wurde, die die Menschen dafür empfanden. Also beschloss der Vorstand des Marino F.C. ein Grundstück zu pachten, das dem Soldat Domingo Padrón gehörte, der überall Don Domingo genannt wurde. Auf diesem Grundstück wurde ein außergewöhnlicher Fußballplatz angelegt, der Ende 1915 eingeweiht wurde. Er war für zwei Jahrzehnte eine wahre “Kathedrale” des Fußballs von Gran Canaria Aber nach einem Jahr überließ der Marino, der sich die Miete nicht leisten konnte, den Fußballplatz dem Eigentümer. So kam es, dass Don Domingo ein echtes Juwel in seinem Besitz hatte, aus dem er einen außergewöhnlichen Gewinn erzielte und außerdem der lokalen Bevölkerung einige der großartigsten Spiele der Epoche bot. Da es der einzige Sportplatz in der Stadt war, der für die Ausübung des Fußballsports geeignet war, wurde Padrón zum wahren “Herrscher” über den ohnehin schon lukrativen Sport. Unter seiner Schirmherrschaft wurden von nun an alle Inselmeisterschaften und andere lokale Turniere organisiert. Darüber hinaus brachte er zahlreiche spanische und ausländische Mannschaften auf die Kanaren, die den einheimischen Spielern und den Fans halfen, die Monotonie der Spiele mit den fünf oder sechs Mannschaften zu durchbrechen. Teneriffa, Real Unión, Iberia, Hespérides, Salamanca... die immer großes Interesse erweckten. Viele Jahre lang wurdesonntagsmindestens dreimal fast ohne Unterbrechung gespielt. Wegen den Spielen der dritten, zweiten und ersten Kategorie verbrachten die “größten Fans” den halben Sonntag auf den Tribünen des historischen Stadions. Zu den Fußballspielern, die die Fans aus Gran Canaria auf dem Campo begeisterten, gehörten außer den lokalen Spielern auch internationale wie José Padrón, Hilario und Luis Valle sowie die Fußballer aus Teneriffa Baudet, Ángel Arocha, Semán, Quico, Morera, Arencibia usw. Außerdem müssen die Stars der Epoche erwähnt werden: Samitier, Piera, Félix Pérez, Pasarín, Kinké, Spencer, Zamora, Vantolrá, Yurrita, Joao Dos Santos, Cros, Botasso, Arrillaga, Ciriaco, Quincoces, Luis Regueiro, Lazcano, Marculeta, Solé, Bosch, Blasco, Cilaurren, Lafuente, Iraragorri, Gorostiza, Elicegui, Artur Sousa “Pinga”, Cooper … eigentlich ist die Liste sehr lang. Doch auf dem Campo España gab es nicht nur Fußballspiele. Sein Besitzer war in der Lage, dieses Stück Land zu nützen: Kanarischer Kampfsport, Boxen, Hunderennen, Stierkampf, Hahnenkämpfe...und Kino, Zirkus und Varietés wurden der

lokalen Bevölkerung angeboten, die dank dem unvergesslichen Platz einen Ort für Unterhaltung und gesellschaftliches Lebenhatte. Hier wurde der Fußball von Gran Canaria “erwachsen”.

CALLEJEANDO POR FUERTEVENTURA / STREETING THROUGH FUERTEVENTURA

Las calles de Fuerteventura Rosario Sanz - Fuerteventura Atravesamos las calles, quedamos con amigos y familiares en plazas y bulevares y muchas veces no sabemos lo que se encuentra tras el nombre que las singulariza. En ocasiones se trata de un personaje destacado, otras rinden homenaje a un colectivo significativo e incluso algunas dejan constancia de especies de flora o fauna que se han querido dignificar para que no se pierdan en la memoria. Vamos a hablar hoy de una calle muy habitual en la mayor parte de las ciudades y pueblos canarios. Su repetición debería indicarnos que se trata de algo que posee una especial relevancia en la historia de nuestras islas. Nos referimos a la calle Manuel Velázquez Cabrera.

Calle Manuel Velázquez Cabrera (El Charco, Puerto del Rosario - Fuerteventura).

Calle Manuel Velázquez Cabrera Tiscamanita, un pequeño pueblo eminentemente agrario perteneciente al municipio de Tuineje, en Fuerteventura, tiene el honor de ser la cuna del insigne político Manuel Velázquez Cabrera que nació en el número diez de la calle Justo Évora de esta villa en 1863.La casa, que hoy es de propiedad pública, tiene un patio central con un especiero y una escalera de piedra por el que se accede al sobrado con piso de madera, una biblioteca con numerosos fondos que reunió uno de sus sobrinos tras regresar de la Guerra de África, cocina, varias habitaciones y otros patios traseros. Huérfano de madre desde los tres años, Manuel recibió instrucción primaria en las escuelas de Antigua y Tuineje, de las que su vivienda distaba apenas cinco kilómetros.También estudiaría en la escuela del municipio de Pájara. La situación económica y social estaba condicionada por el sistema de influencias de unas pocas familias adineradas y su propio padre, ante la mala marcha de los negocios, se vio obligado a emigrar a Uruguay. A los doce años, Manuel y su hermano viajaron para encontrarse con él, pero desgraciadamente la muerte le sorprendió antes de ver llegar a sus hijos. Huérfanos y solos en aquellas tierras, los hermanos Velázquez Cabrera tuvieron que hacerse fuertes y

capear el temporal que se les vino encima, cosa que consiguieron con mucho esfuerzo. Manuel regresó a Las Palmas para ingresar en el Seminario Diocesano, donde permaneció cinco años. Posteriormente concluyó sus estudios de Bachillerato en el Instituto de La Laguna y finalizó su carrera de Derecho en Madrid. Sus ideales se forjaron tras analizar la Historia del Derecho del Régimen Local de Canarias, a lo que se unió su enorme capacidad de observación del momento que le tocó vivir y en el que las algunas islas mayores ejercían de imán del progreso y la riqueza mientras el resto del archipiélago se quedaba rezagado. Decidido a cambiar el curso de la Historia, recabó apoyos por toda la Península e hizo numerosos viajes para difundir sus ideas. Finalmente, realizó con enorme esfuerzo el que se conocería como Plebiscito de las Islas Menores, que acabó cuajando en la sede de los poderes centrales de Madrid hasta dar lugar la Ley de Cabildos de 1912. Hoy día tiene una escultura en la misma puerta del Cabildo majorero, a tan sólo unos metros de otra estatua dedicada a Unamuno, a quien el visitante a veces confunde por no ser una figura tan reconocida fuera de Canarias. Basta acercarse para comprobar que se

trata de otro personaje ilustre, en este caso un majorero a quien todo el archipiélago le debe la iniciativa de que cada isla tuviese su propio centro de Gobierno tal y como de alguna manera se había hecho durante miles de años.

The Streets of Fuerteventura Rosario Sanz - Fuerteventura We walk around streets, meet friends and family in squares or avenues and often, we are unaware of the meaning behind their names. Sometimes, it is about an important person or a significant group, some are even named after flora or fauna to keep them alive in the collective memory. We are going to talk about a very common street name in most large towns in the Canaries. Its popularity should indicate that it is particularly relevant in the story of our islands. We are talking about the street (calle) Manuel Velázquez Cabrera. Calle Manuel Velázquez Cabrera Tiscamanita is a small agricultural village located in the municipality of Tuineje in Fuerteventura that has the honour of being the birthplace of the famous politician

Manuel Velázquez Cabrera, who was born at number ten calle Justo Évora in that village, in 1863. The house, that is now a public property, has a central courtyard with a herb garden and a stone staircase that leads to the upper floor fitted with wooden floorboards, a library that was replenished by one of his nephews after coming back from the War in Africa, a kitchen, various bedrooms and other patios at the back. His mother died when he was three and Manuel went to primary school in the schools of Antigua and Tuineje, short of five kilometres away from his house. He also studied in Pájara’s municipal school. The financial and social situation was influenced by a few wealthy families and his father had to emigrate to Uruguay because of the poor state of his business. At the age of twelve, Manuel and his brother travelled to join him there. Unfortunately, the father died before his children arrived. Orphans and alone in a foreign country, the Velázquez Cabrera brothers had to be strong and, with great efforts,managed to face the hardship they had come upon. Manuel came back to Las Palmas to join the Diocesan Seminary, where he remained for five years. He later completed his high school studies at the Institute of La Laguna and ended his Law studies in Madrid. His ideas were based on the analysis of the History of the Canarian Local Law System, his great capacity of observation of the world that surrounded him and the fact that the major islands were the image of progress and wealth while the other islands of the archipelago were left behind. He decided to change the course of history and sought support all over Mainland Spain, travelling a lot to spread his ideas. Finally, with enormous efforts, he created what became known as the “Plebiscito de las Islas Menores” (The plebiscite of the smaller islands), which he presented at the central power in Madrid and later became the Law of the Cabildos of 1912. Nowadays, his statue is located at the entrance of Fuerteventura’s Cabildo, a few metres away from the other statue dedicated to Unamuno, which sometimes confuses visitors as he isn’t as well known outside the Canaries. This is another distinguished personality, in this case, a Majorero (from Fuerteventura) to whom the archipelago is in debt for the fact that each island has its own Central Government, just as it had been done in some way for thousands of years.

Die Straßen von Fuerteventura Rosario Sanz - Fuerteventura Wir überqueren die Straßen, treffen Freunde und Verwandte auf Plätzen und Boulevards und wissen oft nicht, was sich hinter deren Namen verbirgt, welche diese Orte einzigartig machen. Manchmal handelt es sich um eine herausragende Persönlichkeit, andere ehren eine besondere Gruppe und einige tragen die Namen von Pflanzen- oder Tierarten, die nicht in Vergessenheit geraten sollen. Heute werden wir über eine Straße sprechen, die es in den meisten kanarischen Großstädten gibt. Die Häufigkeit dieses Namens sollte uns darauf hinweisen, dass es sich um jemanden handelt, der in der Geschichte unserer Inseln eine besondere Bedeutung hat. Wir beziehen uns auf die calle Manuel Velázquez Cabrera.

Calle Manuel Velázquez Cabrera (Tiscamanita, Tuineje - Fuerteventura).

Calle Manuel Velázquez Cabrera Tiscamanita, ein kleines landwirtschaftlich geprägtes Dorf, das zur Gemeinde Tuineje auf Fuerteventura gehört, hat die Ehre, der Geburtsort des berühmten Politikers Manuel Velázquez Cabrera zu sein, der 1863 in diesem Dorf in der calle Justo Évora Nummer zehn geboren wurde. Das Haus, das heute öffentlicher Besitz ist, hat einen zentralen Innenhof mit einer Steintreppe, die zu dem Dachboden mit Holzboden führt. Dort gibt es eine Bibliothek mit zahlreichen Sammlungen, die einer seiner Neffen nach seiner Rückkehr aus dem Krieg in Afrika zusammengetragen hat, eine Küche, mehrere Zimmer und weitere Hinterhöfe. Er verlor seine Mutter, als er drei Jahre alt war, und erhielt seine Grundschulausbildung - nur fünf Kilometer von seinem Zuhause entfernt - in den Schulen von Antigua und Tuineje. Er besuchte außerdem die Schule von Pájara. Die wirtschaftliche und soziale Situation war durch den Einfluss einiger weniger wohlhabender Familien geprägt, und sein eigener Vater war angesichts des schlechten Geschäfts gezwungen, nach Uruguay auszuwandern. Als er zwölf Jahre alt war, reisten Manuel und sein Bruder zu ihm, aber unglücklicherweise starb er überraschend, bevor er seine Kinder ankommen sah. Die Brüder Velázquez Cabrera waren Waisenkinder und allein in diesem Land. Sie mussten stark werden und den Sturm, der über sie hereinbrach, überstehen, was ihnen mit großer Mühe gelang.Manuel kehrte nach Las Palmas zurück und trat demSeminar der Diözese bei, wo er fünf Jahre blieb. Später machte er sein Abitur im Instituto de La Laguna und absolvierte sein Jurastudium in Madrid. Seine Ideale beruhten auf der Analyse der Rechtsgeschichte des lokalen Systems der Kanaren. Dazu kam seine enorme Fähigkeit, den Moment zu beobachten, in dem er lebte, und in dem einige der größeren Inseln als Magnet für Fortschritt und Reichtum fungierten, während der Rest des Archipels zurückblieb. Entschlossen, den Lauf der Geschichte zu ändern, suchte er Unterstützung auf dem spanischen Festland und unternahm zahlreiche Reisen, um seine Ideen zu verbreiten. Schließlich unternahm er große Anstrengungen, um den sogenannten Plebiszit der kleinen Inseln zu organisieren, der im Regierungssitz in Madrid für Unruhe sorgte und zum Gesetz der Cabildos von 1912 führte. Heute befindet sich seine Skulptur am Eingang des Cabildo von Fuerteventura, nur wenige Meter von einer weiteren Statue entfernt, die Unamuno gewidmet ist, und der Besucher hält ihn manchmal fälschlicherweise für eine außerhalb der Kanaren nicht so bekannte Persönlichkeit. Man muss nur näher herangehen, um zu erkennen, dass es sich um eine ebenso wichtige Persönlichkeit handelt, in diesem Fall um einen Bürger aus Fuerteventura, dem der gesamte Archipel verdankt, dass jede Insel - wie es seit Jahrtausenden der Fall war –heute ihr eigenes Regierungszentrum hat.

Un menú a la carta para dos personas, compuesto de entrantes, plato principal y postre, tiene un precio medio de 45,00€. Abrimos todos los días de la semana, en horario de 12 de la mañana a 10 de la noche con la cocina abierta. Hablamos español, inglés, polaco, y alemán.

Cualquier amante del buen café no puede perderse una visita a este lugar. Además de elegir entre cafés de todos los continentes, podrá ver su proceso al tostarlo y olerlo. Conocerá todo el proceso del café que elija hasta llegar a su taza, que podrá degustar junto con alimentos variados, ensaladas, tapas, hamburguesas y deliciosa repostería. Alfredo Krauss: el tenor y profesor de canto canario más internacional FMHOY - Fuerteventura Hace veintiún años que España y el mundo entero despedía a uno de los mejores tenores que ha tenido la historia de la música. Treinta y cinco minutos de aplausos ininterrumpidos para homenajear a un canario que ha hecho historia por su grandiosa voz lírica adaptada a los tiempos. Nació en Gran Canaria el 24 de noviembre de 1927. De padre austriaco y madre grancanaria, se inició en el mundo de la música a la temprana edad de cuatro años y de ahí, hasta su fallecimiento en Madrid, el 10 de septiembre de 1999, estuvo rodeado de armonía durante cuarenta y tres años de profesión. De corista parroquial a tenor profesional

Ya desde muy pequeño tomó lecciones de piano y solfeo, junto a su hermano mayor Francisco. Complementaba su formación con el coro de la parroquia Corazón de María. En 1943, siendo ya adolescente, ingresó en el Coro de la Sociedad Filarmónica de Las Palmas en compañía de su hermano, y en menos de un año, Alfredo ya se encontraba dando conciertos benéficos con una marcada voz de tenor que auguraba un futuro prometedor. Una voz adiestrada por su profesora María Suárez Fiol. Su vocación no llevaba a equívoco, pero antes debía complacer los deseos paternos y cumplió. Con el título

de perito industrial en la mano, comenzó su viaje en busca de una carrera profesional que le llevara a cumplir sus sueños. Su primera parada fue Barcelona. Allí pudo continuar con sus estudios musicales de la mano de la profesora rusa Galli Markoff. Después de su paso por la ciudad condal estuvo en Valencia haciendo el servicio militar sin dejar de lado sus estudios, que estaban coordinados por su profesor Francisco Andrés. Fue el final de su etapa en territorio español. Salto internacional Su debut en el extranjero tuvo lugar en Milán. Esta ciudad sería la primera de muchas en las que dejó huella española con su bel canto. En el año 1956, Alfredo Krauss se estrenó en la capital egipcia de El Cairo, con el papel de Duque de Mantua, de la ópera Rigoletto del compositor Giuseppe Verdi. Meses más tarde, interpretó el papel de Mario Cavaradossi, de la ópera Tosca de Giacomo Puccini. Un papel que desempeñaría tan solo una vez más en Cannes, ya que pasó a interpretar personajes más acordes con un estilo lírico-ligero. Dos años más tarde, en 1958, viajó hasta Lisboa para interpretar,

junto a María Callas, la ópera de La Traviata. Continuó su periplo por Europa mostrando sus dotes líricas en ciudades como Londres o Milán. Al otro lado del charco, deslumbró en ciudades míticas como Chicago y Nueva York en la década de los sesenta. En 1967, debutó en Buenos Aires, en el Teatro Colón, con obras como La Favorita, I Puritani, Los cuentos de Hoffmann y su mejor papel, Werther de Massenet. El mejor Werther Dicen de él, que ha sido el mejor Werther de la historia del siglo XX, y es que ha llegado a interpretarla hasta en 213 ocasiones. De su repertorio, ha sido el papel más recitado. Una obra de Jules Massenet, basada en la novela epistolar de Goethe. Se trata de uno de los papeles capitales de los tenores, entraña gran dificultad y por ello ha sido comparada con Tristán e Isolda de Wagner. Sin duda, Alfredo Krauss ha dejado huella por todo el mundo, considerado uno de los grandes de la lírica española e internacional. Su rigor estilístico y su carácter perfeccionista le han encumbrado como uno de los mejores tenores de la historia, y con sello canario.

Fünfunddreißig Minuten ununterbrochener Applaus zu Ehren eines Kanariers, der dank seiner großartigen, der Zeit angepasste lyrische Stimme Geschichte geschrieben hat. Er wurde am 24. November 1927 auf Gran Canaria geboren. Sein Vater war Österreicher und seine Mutter aus Gran Canaria. Er begann in der Welt der Musik im frühen Alter von vier Jahren und von da an, bis zu seinem Tod in Madrid am 10. September 1999, war er dreiundvierzig Jahre seiner Karriere von Harmonie umgeben. Vom Chorknaben zum Profitenor Von klein auf nahm er Klavier- und Tonlehreunterricht zusammen mit seinem älteren Bruder Francisco. Er ergänzte seine Ausbildung im Chor der Parroquia Corazón de María. Bereits als Teenager wurde er 1943 zusammen mit seinem Bruder Mitglied des Chors der Philharmonischen Gesellschaft von Las Palmas, und nach weniger als einem Jahr gab Alfredo bereits Benefizkonzerte mit einer Tenorstimme, die eine große Zukunft versprach. Seine Stimme wurde von seiner Lehrerin María Suárez Fiol ausgebildet. Seine Berufung war unübersehbar, aber zuerst musste er die Wünsche seines Vaters erfüllen, und er tat es. Mit dem Titel eines Industriegutachters begann er seine Reise auf der Suche nach einer beruflichen Karriere, die ihn zur Erfüllung seiner Träume führen sollte. Seine erste Station war Barcelona. FMHOY - Fuerteventura New Year, New Life. We repeat this sentence every year absolutely convinced that on 1st January, when we wake up, a new phase will start where everything could change. We leave a year behind us, a cycle ends and we face a new phase. We dream of new opportunities, a renewal of hope and luck. Therefore, we make New Year resolutions that most of the time, will remain temporary simple desires and won’t become reality and end up disappearing as days go by. It is true that in January we notice a decrease in tobacco consumption, no end of registrations in gymnasiums, a multitude of diets... However, as weeks go by everything changes and the strength of habits takes over. Without realising, continuity wins the battle and we go back to our routine. Faced with this situation, various studies confirm that simple actions such as saying out loud our objectives for the New Year can help materialise them. In this same line, it also helps to share them with our close ones, family, friends or work colleagues; or to make a plan with small objectives and rewards, that will motivate us as we reach each of them. FMHOY - Fuerteventura La Organización para la Cooperación y el Desarrollo (OCDE), en su informe Perspectiva Económica Global, mantiene que la «sólida» recuperación de España continuará en 2016 y 2017. Aunque el Gobierno ha estimado en 3% el crecimiento nacional en la elaboración de sus presupuestos, la OCDE lo calcula en un 2,7%. El precio de la vivienda española volverá a subir a comienzos de este año, por encima de la previsión anterior de la OCDE. La firma Standard & Poor’s y el Instituto de Estudios Económicos están de acuerdo y, aunque es difícil predecir con exactitud la magnitud de la subida y el momento, prevén una tendencia al alza del 2% anual hasta 2030. Señala el informe que bajarán, en cambio, las tasas de endeudamiento de las empresas y los hogares, lo que, además de las reformas estructurales que se han venido realizando, está «aumentando la confianza empresarial» y espera que también cobren impulso «la inversión y el consumo». La recuperación europea ha permitido un impacto positivo en las exportaciones españolas. La depreciación del euro y la caída del precio del petróleo han influido también en la mejora de las perspectivas de ventas en el exterior. El Ayuntamiento de Puerto de Rosario dona un lote de obras feministas a la Biblioteca ‘Lorenza Machín’ FMHOY - Fuerteventura El alcalde del Ayuntamiento de Puerto del Rosario, Juan Jiménez, y la concejala de Cultura, Aurelia Vera, han entregado este martes, 22 de diciembre, una donación de un lote con más de 25 títulos de obras feministas y con perspectiva de género a la Biblioteca Feminista ‘Lorenza Machín’, ampliando, de esta manera, su colección de libros dedicados a dignificar los derechos de las mujeres tras la donación por parte de la Concejalía de Cultura en colaboración con la Biblioteca municipal. La Biblioteca Feminista Lorenza Machín, ubicada en el Centro de Atención Integral a la Mujer, en calle Fernández Castañeyra, nº 20, en Puerto del Rosario, es un lugar no sólo ideado como un lugar de lectura de libros de temática feminista y con perspectiva de género, sino que los libros seleccionados que en ella se encuentran, ajustándose a las diferentes edades, también movilicen, generen reflexión, motiven a seguir leyendo, desafíen y despierten la curiosidad, proporcionen una correcta información sobre distintos aspectos relacionados con las relaciones igualitarias y la prevención de la violencia de género, y que incluyan los nuevos desafíos sociales surgidos en torno al medioambiente, la sostenibilidad y el eco-feminismo, entre otros. Maika Varoy - Señoras Feministas en Fuerteventura El 25 de noviembre de 1960 se encontraron en la República Dominicana los tres cuerpos sin vida de las hermanas Mirabal, a las que también se les conocía como “las mariposas”, habían sido brutalmente torturadas y asesinadas por orden de Rafael Leónidas Trujillo, cuya dictadura se caracterizaba por una fuerte represión contra la oposición: torturas, asesinatos, violaciones, desaparecidos, exiliados... ¡casi ná, un angelito, vamos...! María Teresa, Patria y Minerva eran tres activistas que, junto a sus maridos, peleaban contra la dictadura trujillista y por eso los metieron a los seis en la cárcel. A ellas las acabaron liberando, pero eso escondía una trampa, su sentencia ya estaba escrita. Un día, volviendo en coche de visitar a sus maridos en la cárcel, fueron capturadas por la policía secreta que las apalearon y las ahorcaron hasta la muerte, luego las

tiraron por un barranco, intentando fingir un accidente de tráfico pero no coló. Ese crimen que había dejado huérfanos a 6 criaturas, conmocionó al pueblo dominicano. Seis meses más tarde el dictador Trujillo fue asesinado. En honor a estas valientes mujeres, cada 25 de noviembre se conmemora el Día Internacional de la Eliminación de la Violencia contra la Mujer; esto fue establecido en el primer encuentro feminista latinoamericano y del Caribe celebrado en Bogotá (Colombia) en 1981 y aprobado por resolución oficial en asamblea de la ONU el 7 de febrero del 2000. La escritora estadounidense Julia Álvarez escribió una novela basada en la vida de estas tres hermanas, con el título “En El Tiempo de las Mariposas”, que fue llevada posteriormente al cine por Mariano Barroso.

Schließlich wurden sie von einer Klippe geworfen, und es wurde versucht, einen Verkehrsunfall vorzutäuschen, aber es gelang nicht. Dieses Verbrechen, bei dem sechs Kinder zu Waisen wurden, schockierte die dominikanische Bevölkerung. Sechs Monate später wurde der Diktator Trujillo ermordet.

Für ein Projekt zur Instandhaltung und zurVerbesserung des Lagerraums der Gambuesa del Valle de la Cueva wird ein Betrag von 4.587,35 € gewährt. Das andere Projekt für die Instandhaltung und Verbesserung des Lagerhauses in Gambuesa de Pozo Negro wird mit 27.532,36 Euro gefördert. Die beiden Projekte zielen darauf ab, die traditionellen Infrastrukturen für die Viehzucht zu verbessern und instand zu halten, wie z.B. die Gambuesas und die dazugehörigen Unterstände, erklärte der zuständige Stadtrat Fernando Estupiñan. A project of Renovation and Improvement of the Warehouse located in the traditional corral (Gambuesa) of Valle de la Cueva representing an investment of 4.587,35 Euros and the Project of Renovation and Improvement of the Warehouse and Corral (Gambuesa) of Pozo Negro for an investment of 27.532,36 Euros. REFORZANDO LA SEGURIDAD DE SUS PLAYAS CON NUEVOS SALVAVIDAS El Ayuntamiento sigue reforzando la seguridad de las playas del municipio con la instalación de dos tótems que contienen tres dispositivos de ayuda a la flotación que se inflan automáticamente al entrar en contacto con el agua. Los dispositivos, de una patente mundial creada en Canarias, han sido instalados en Grandes Playas, en Corralejo, y en Piedra Playa, en El Cotillo. Cada tótem está provisto de tres chalecos, basta con romper el cristal con el martillo situado en el propio tótem. El dispositivo está dotado de un sistema de aviso a la fuerzas y cuerpos de seguridad para que se personen en el lugar. La solidaridad y la ayuda entre los vecinos era una cualidad muy valorada, y en esas tareas voluntarias y altruistas ella fue un ejemplo. Ejemplo de abnegación y amor a su tierra, María González Carballo representó al Comité de Afectados del Casco Viejo de Corralejo en la recogida de la Medalla de

Oro de Canarias otorgada a este importante colectivo del pueblo de Corralejo. María fue una mujer participativa que destacó por su hospitalidad y solidaridad.

In den schwierigen Jahren, als es praktisch keine Gesundheitsdienste gab, arbeitete Antonia Morera Rodríguez als wahre Krankenschwester von Corralejo. Bei der Bevölkerung wurden Solidarität und Nachbarschaftshilfe hoch geschätzt, und in Bezug auf diese freiwilligen und uneigennützigen Aufgaben war sie ein Vorbild. Als Beispiel für Verzicht und Liebe zu ihrer Heimat vertrat María González Carballo das Komitee der Betroffenen der Altstadt von Corralejo bei der Verleihung der Goldmedaille der Kanarischen Inseln an diese wichtige Bevölkerungsgruppe von Corralejo. María war eine engagierte Frau, die sich durch ihre Gastfreundschaft und Solidarität auszeichnete. TRIBUTE TO TWO NEIGHBOURS OF CORRALEJO WITH NEW STREET NAMES Two streets in the centre of Corralejo have changed name, the street that was called calle Crucero Baleares, is now called María González Carballo and the street that was known as calle Acorazado España, is now called Antonia Morera Rodríguez. During the years of hardship when health services were almost inexistent, Antonia Morera Rodríguez worked as an authentic nurse in Corralejo. The solidarity and support between neighbours was a quality that was greatly appreciated,and she was an example to follow when it came to charity and altruism. An example of self-sacrifice and love for her homeland, María González Carballo represented the Committee called “Comité de Afectados” of the old town of Corralejo when she received the Gold Medal of the Canaries awarded to this important association in Corralejo. María was a woman who was very involved and stood out for her hospitality and solidarity.

RETOMAN EL PROYECTO INICIAL PARA LA INSTALACIÓN DEL DEPÓSITO LAMINADOR DE AGUA RESIDUAL El proyecto inicial para la instalación de un depósito laminador de agua residual que permita regular los caudales a tratar en la estación depuradora de Puerto del Rosario ha vuelto a retomarse tras una modificación de mejora del proyecto. La Consejería de Transición Ecológica, Lucha contra el Cambio Climático y Planificación Territorial del Gobierno de Canarias, en colaboración con el Ayuntamiento de Puerto del Rosario y el Consejo Insular de Aguas de Fuerteventura, ha firmado el documento que retoma los trabajos para construir el citado depósito, el cual tendrá una capacidad de alma-

cenamiento de 5.000 m3 y estará divido en dos vasos. Las aguas que lleguen a esta nueva instalación serán almacenadas en una obra de llegada con capacidad para 135 m3, desde donde serán impulsadas al tamiz rotativo el cual verterá posteriormente las aguas hacia los vasos del depósito. El agua almacenada será impulsada a través de bombas sumergibles desde los vasos del depósito hasta los reactores de la actual estación de Puerto del Rosario. El regidor de la capital majorera, Juan Jiménez, señalaba que el Ayuntamiento de Puerto del Rosario “está comprometido con la sostenibilidad medioambiental y, para ello, se está trabajando en un plan estratégico de actuaciones en lo referente a tratamiento de las aguas y saneamiento a medio plazo, sin dejar de ejecutar acciones concretas y de cierta urgencia como es la construcción de este nuevo depósito que aliviará el caudal de agua, garantizando una depuración con mayores garantías para nuestro municipio”.

Das Amt für den ökologischen Übergang, den Kampf gegen den Klimawandel und die Raumplanung derkanarischen Regierung hat in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Stadtrat von Puerto del Rosario und dem Wasseramt der Insel Fuerteventura das Dokument unterzeichnet, das die Arbeiten zum Bau des genannten Depots wieder aufnimmt, das eine Kapazität von 5.000 m³ haben wird und in zwei Behälter unterteilt ist. Das Wasser, das in diese neue Anlage kommt, wird in einem Ankunftsort mit einem Fassungsvermögen von 135 m³ gespeichert, von wo aus es zum Rotationssieb befördert wird, das das Wasser anschließend in die Tankbehälter ableitet. Das gespeicherte Wasser wird durch Pumpen aus den Behältern des Depots zu den Reaktoren der jetzigen Station Puerto del Rosario gepumpt. EL CABILDO CONCEDE 45.000 EUROS PARA APOYAR ACCIONES DE DINAMIZACIÓN COMERCIAL El Cabildo de Fuerteventura, a través del área de Comercio, destina una subvención de 45.000 euros a la Asociación de Empresarios Zona Centro de Puerto del Rosario para la realización de dinamización comercial en la capital majorera. Este acuerdo se materializa gracias a un convenio de colaboración firmado entre la consejera de Comercio, Lolina Negrín, y la presidenta de la asociación, Daniela Plotegher. Con esta subvención, la Corporación insular impulsa diferentes acciones llevadas por la Asociación de Empresarios Zona Centro de Puerto del Rosario con el objetivo de dinamizar la zona comercial centro de la capital majorera. Entre estas actuaciones se incluye la creación de una web de la asociación, que explique el atractivo de Puerto del Rosario, su oferta comercial, de servicios y restauración, con información vinculada a los sitios web personales de las empresas para trabajar conjuntamente en el posicionamiento en Google. La presencia de las empresas locales en la red se potencia además con la creación de ochenta sitios web para que las empresas asociadas estén digitalizadas de forma profesional y en beneficio de Puerto del Rosario.

DER CABILDO BEWILLIGT 45.000 EURO, UM AKTIONEN FÜR DIE DYNAMISIERUNG DER GESCHÄFTE ZU UNTERSTÜTZEN Das Amt für Handel des Cabildo von Fuerteventura vergibt eine Subvention in Höhe von 45.000 Euro an die Vereinigung der Unternehmer der Zone Zentrum von Puerto del Rosario für die Dynamisierung der Geschäfte der Hauptstadt von Fuerteventura. Diese Vereinbarung entstand dank eines Kooperationsabkommens, das zwischen der Beauftragten für Handel, Lolina Negrín, und der Präsidentin der Vereinigung, Daniela Plotegher, unterzeichnet wurde. AVANFUER Y VOLUNTARIADO RETIRAN 16,6 KILOGRAMOS DE BASURA DEL ENCLAVE NATURAL DEL BARRANCO DE RÍO CABRAS El Ayuntamiento reconocía y agradecía públicamente la gran labor que realiza la Asociación de Voluntarios/as de Ayuda a la Naturaleza de Fuerteventura (Avanfuer) por el cuidado medioambiental del municipio. Concretamente, el pasado mes, el voluntariado ambiental y miembros de la Asociación se dieron cita para una nueva batida de limpieza en la zona alta del Barranco Río Cabras, donde recogieron 16,6 kilogramos de basura a lo largo de tres kilómetros, evitando que todos los residuos plásticos encontrados en el lugar terminaran en el mar. La actuación en esta zona del Barranco Río Cabras estuvo enmarcada dentro de la Jornada Nacional Libera ‘Por el campo, los bosque y monte 2020’, donde se eligió el bosque de tarajales del Barranco para realizar un inventario de la fauna del lugar, en el cual se destacó la localización de tarros canelos, bisbita caminera, palomas, alcaudón y tarabilla, entre otras especies.

Die freiwilligen Umweltschützer und Mitglieder des Vereins hatten sich im vergangenen Monat zu einer neuen Reinigungsaktion im oberen Bereich des Barranco Río Cabras getroffen, wo sie auf drei Kilometern 16,6 Kilogramm Müll einsammelten und damit verhinderten,

dass der gesamte Plastikmüll im Meer landet. Die Aktion im Barranco Rio Cabras wurde im Rahmen des Tages ‘Für das Feld, den Wald und den Berg 2020’ ausgeführt. Der Tamariskenwald des Barranco wurde ausgewählt, um eine Bestandsaufnahme der Fauna des Ortes zu machen, zu unter anderen Arten der Rostgänse, Wiesenpieper, Tauben, Würger und Schwarzkelchen gehören. AVANFUER AND VOLUNTEERS REMOVE 16,6 KILOS OF WASTE FROM THE BARRANCO DE RÍO CABRAS The Ayuntamiento applauded publicly the great work carried out by the Volunteers of the association called Ayuda a la Naturaleza de Fuerteventura (Avanfuer) in the care of the municipality’s natural environment. Specifically, last month, volunteers and members of the association met for a cleaning operation in the upper area of Barranco Río Cabras where they collected 16,6 kilos of waste along a three-kilometre stretch, to prevent plastic waste from ending up in the ocean. The initiative in the area of Barranco Río Cabras took place on the National Day called “Por el campo, los bosque y monte 2020” (In the countryside, the woods and the mountains 2020), where they also chose the woods of tarajal trees of the Barranco to carry out an inventory of the fauna of the area. They detected the presence of fauna such as ruddy shelducks, Berthelot’s pipits, doves, shrikes and European stonechats, amongst other species. WHAT HAPPENS IN YOUR MUNICIPALITY? | QUE SE PASSE-T-IL DANS TA MUNICIPALITÉ? der erste stellvertretende Bürgermeister und Stadtrat für Bürgerbeteiligung, David Perdomo, nahmen an dem Treffen Espacio en Ruta teil, das im Kulturzentrum von La Charca in Puerto del Rosario stattfand. Dieses Gespräch fand im Rahmen des Projekts ‚Räume für Beteiligung, Vereinswesen und freiwillige Arbeit auf Fuerteventura (EPSAV)‘ statt, das von dem KulturvereinRaíz del Pueblo mit Unterstützung des Cabildo von Fuerteventura organisiert wurde. Das Treffen, das in Zusammenarbeit mit der Abteilung für Bürgerbeteiligung der Stadtverwaltung stattfand, brachte verschiedene offizielle und nicht offizielle Vertreter von Verbänden und Gruppen aus der Gemeinde Puerto del Rosario zusammen. Ziel des Treffens war es, aus erster Hand etwas über die Forderungen und Bedürfnisse von Verbänden und Gruppen zu erfahren. PUERTO DEL ROSARIO RECIBE AYUDAS PARA DOS ESCUELAS INFANTILES PÚBLICAS DEL MUNICIPIO El Ayuntamiento capitalino ha recibido, por parte de la Consejería de Educación del Gobierno de Canarias, dos subvenciones destinadas a las escuelas infantiles públicas del municipio: ‘Hormiguitas’ y ‘Bambi’, siendo el importe total de ambas ayudas de 84.051,25 euros. Un estilo que nació en el New York de los años 50, cuando las fabricas y almacenes en desuso surgieron como viviendas económicas y una nueva forma de vida, “los famosos Lofts”. No solo no pasa de moda sino que se ha reinventado en un neo industrial como estilo decorativo y muy personal, hay elementos de todo tipo para elegir y el mueble antiguo de oficio se ha convertido en una gran inversión. Materiales como el hierro y el acero junto a la madera para suavizar, utilizados en mesas y sillas son los materiales indispensables para este estilo, todo ello en estado puro que se vea y se sienta el paso del tiempo, telas cálidas con texturas gruesas que contrastan y aportan confort para compensar la frialdad de este estilo. Casas de espíritu libre que han ido afianzándose en pisos y toda clase de edificación convirtiéndose hoy en día en una tendencia muy importante en el mundo del interiorismo. Las superficies rugosas, el ladrillo visto y los revestimientos de cemento y hormigón en todas sus versiones, impregnan este estilo en viviendas de nueva construcción, la idea es aprovechar la mayor cantidad de elementos originales o incluso aquellos que le den una imagen de abandono o derruidos, las instalaciones vista como tubos de aire acondicionado , tuberías y tubos rígidos para canalizar la luminaria darán carácter a este estilismo industrial, la altura de los techos es muy importante en el momento de diseñarlos y ambientarlos. Actualmente este interiorismo se está utilizando para poner al día viejas o nuevas cafeterías, restaurantes y espacios públicos, pero siempre que se respete la función para la que son creados.

The trend hasn’t passed and moreover, it has been reinvented into a neo-industrial decorative and very personal style. Materials such as iron and steel together with wood to soften the style, used for tables and chairs are essential for this style. It is all used in its pure state, showing the passing of time. Warm fabrics with thick textures create contrast and bring comfort to compensate for the coldness of this style. Free spirit houses that have been transformedinto flats and all kinds of buildings have now become a very big trend in interior design. Rough surfaces, brick walls and cement or concrete surfaces in all kinds of versions are a big part of this style in new-build houses. The idea is to take advantage of as many original features as possible even some that give the image of an abandoned or derelict building. Air-conditioning pipes or electrical tubing are left on show to create this industrial style and the design includes high ceiling heights. At present, this interior design style is used to update old or new cafeterias, restaurants and public spaces, but always respecting their original function.

La OMS recuerda que los periódicos no transmiten el coronavirus por el papel

The WHO points out that newspapers cannot transmit the coronavirus

La Organización Mundial de la Salud sostiene que no se ha documentado ningún caso de contagio en el planeta a través del papel o por el uso compartido del periódico La Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS) asegura que el riesgo de contagiarse tocando un diario de papel es “infinitamente insignificante”. Por tanto, el hecho de compartir un periódico es una acción absolutamente segura. La afirmación de la OMS va en la línea de las evidencias científicas sobre la (no) relación entre los periódicos y la covid-19, que recogen que nunca se ha documentado la transmisión de la enfermedad a través de papel de periódico ni tampoco por su uso compartido, así como que la transmisión del virus a través de superficies sugieren que las porosas tienen menor potencia y durabilidad; que los periódicos son aún más estériles al virus debido a la tinta y al proceso de impresión. La OMS ha recordado que el contagio del coronavirus se produce principalmente por vía aérea, y que resulta casi imposible que suceda a través de superficies porosas, como es el papel. De igual modo, la revista científica Journal of Hospital Infection, el National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases de Estados Unidos y el John Innes Center insisten en que “nunca ha habido un incidente documentado en el que el virus haya sido transmitido por un periódico, revista, carta impresa, o paquete impreso”.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) confirms that no contamination cases have been recorded on the planet through paper or by the shared use of newspapers. The WHO confirms that the risk of getting contaminated by touching a newspaper is “insignificant”. Therefore, sharing a newspaper is absolutely safe. The confirmation of the WHO goes along with the scientific evidence showing that newspapers and covid-19 are unrelated, that it has never been documented that the disease can be transmitted through newspapers or by sharing them. The transmission of the virus through surfaces shows that porous surfaces transmit it less than others and that the virus doesn’t survive on them either. Newspapers are even more sterile because of the ink used on them and the printing process. The WHO has pointed out that the coronavirus is mostly transmitted by aerial manner, which is almost impossible through porous surfaces such as paper. Furthermore, the scientific magazine « Journal of Hospital Infection », the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases in the United States and the John Innes Center insist that « there has never been an incident documented where the virus would have been transmitted by a newspaper, a magazine, a printed card or package ».
