ADOBE
A
Adobe Premiere Pro
dobe’s mission is to democratize creativity and give everyone the tools to bring their ideas to life. It believes that AI will be a copilot that amplifies human ingenuity, enabling more people in the creative profession. This year, Adobe unveiled two revolutionary products within Premiere Pro including Text-Based Editing and Enhance Speech, which are advancing this mission — transforming the way filmmakers approach their craft by automating time-sensitive tasks so they can bring their vision to life at the speed of imagination.
•
•
Powered by Adobe AI, Text-Based Editing automatically transcribes your source media into a transcript, allowing you to edit directly into the timeline to generate a rough cut faster than ever before. Using an in-app text editor, post-production teams can search
for words or phrases, cut sentences and rearrange dialogue to automatically shape rough cuts directly in their timeline. In line with its mission, Adobe updated the tool five months after its public launch making it easier to identify filler words, delete all pauses and filler words with a single click, and transcribe multichannel audio files. When the edit is complete, Text-Based Editing gives editors a ready-made transcript that can be used to quickly generate captions. Enhance Speech uses AI to magically remove background noise and improve the quality of poorly recorded dialogue, making it sound as if it was recorded in a professional studio. You can also use the mix slider to incorporate some of the background noise to make it sound just right.

cineSync
ineSync is a desktop-based platform specifically designed for secure, synchronized media review in film and television. With a client list boasting names like Marvel, HBO and Netflix, cineSync is an industry standard. cineSync marries the security demands of the M&E industry with consistently highquality synchronized review. Unlike web/ cloud-based review platforms that struggle with latency, dropped frames, sync delays and large file handling due to bandwidth constraints, cineSync’s technology ensures high-quality media playback as the media is local to each machine in a review. There is no limit to resolution other than that of the actual hardware. This approach guarantees consistent, high-quality, true real-time synced visuals at full 4K resolution and 60fps, with no
dropped frames, converted visuals or artifacts. It also ensures full-color accuracy, a critical aspect when reviewing post-production dailies. cineSync’s design allows playback of files that cannot be viewed in a web browser, such as frame sequences and high dynamic range, very high-resolution media. Users can collaborate as if they are in the same room because cineSync is entirely interactive. All markups are seen in real time, and participants can interact at any time. Drawing tools, zoom, color tools, rotation and aspect ratio can all be changed and used in perfect sync, minimizing the potential for miscommunication. cineSync is more secure than cloud-based alternatives, as all media in a cineSync session is stored locally on each machine. This security foundation ensures all content remains safe in the control of the customer.

EmeraldAV WALL
merald DESKVUE with EmeraldAV WALL enables users to place, size and interact with up to 16 selected sources (physical and virtual) simultaneously across multiple desktop monitors and a 2x2 video wall from their workspaces, often without switching. Operators visualize large amounts of information from different sources for complete situational awareness and to collaborate with other operators. In a use case, operators using Emerald DESKVUE work on a main system while monitoring many other systems in their peripheral vision. Positioning systems across multiple screens as freely movable windows, or tiles, users jump to full screen while working on a window by double-clicking on the info bar. Another double-click restores the windows to their default position. Adding the optional EmeraldAV Wall Software to the DESKVUE
receivers facilitates collaboration: operators can share contents on a 2x2 video wall, and hand sources to other Emerald users. Operators/ administrators control and manage KVM and AV video walls through APIs. To tailor their workspaces, users connect one keyboard, mouse and audio to the DESKVUE unit. DESKVUE’s four 4K video outputs link to desktop monitors and video wall displays. Polaris
olaris delivers “a single pane of glass” view of the media supply chain, from ingest to final delivery. The operational management platform integrates directly into third-party and proprietary toolsets providing content owners and broadcasters scalability by surfacing actionable insights via one customizable UI; and provides granular control over specific orders, jobs and tasks, both manual and automated. Most systems are designed for use by engineers and speak in the nomenclature of assets and files instead of orders and tasks, that makes effective supply chain management at scale nearly impossible when you have 10,000 projects running through a system at one time and hundreds of users with different skill sets. Deployed across global brands like Sky, A+E and Crunchyroll, Polaris FOR flips the old model on its head and MORE tells the user whether or not they have INFO
everything they need, instead of them having to go find it themselves, encouraging collaboration across matrixed teams and decreasing fulfillment times. With a volume of ~190,000 title package deliveries annually, one Polaris user has seen on-time project completion rates rise from an average of 55% to consistently higher than 95% since implementing Polaris. For A+E, the results have been clear and tangible: one recent customer order, with a tight 10-day turnaround requiring production, packaging and delivery of 1,500 episodes; A+E fulfilled the order in 16 hours, compared to 30–60 days it would have taken using their heavily manual process. Polaris fills a critical gap and empowers the operation to accelerate adoption of cloudenabled workflows.

YOSPACE

Cloud Orchestrator With SSAI for Live Events
he cost of attaining sports rights is rising and broadcasters/other rights-holders must seize opportunities to maximize the return on investment. Creating ad-supported pop-up channels to show more events is a great solution (and great news for viewers!). However, scaling pop-up channels up and down can be a costly business and they tend to command small audiences. However, if they are run more efficiently, then collectively they can drive a significant increase in advertising revenue. Yospace’s Orchestrator simplifies the process of automatically scaling infrastructure, with server-side ad insertion (SSAI), to handle dynamic quantities of channels. It also ensures their removal as soon as an event ends to minimize infrastructure costs.
Orchestrator works seamlessly with Yospace’s prefetch solution to scale SSAI successfully for live sports audiences when millions of concurrent viewers go to an ad break at the same time. Advertising in live sports is a manual process because ad breaks must be inserted based on the state of play at any given time. Because of this, each live channel tends to require a dedicated operator, which becomes a highly inefficient way of working if a rights-holder is running multiple pop-up channels. Orchestrator enables other cloud-based tools so that a single operator can manage multiple events simultaneously from any location. This creates significant operational efficiency and also allows extra ad breaks to be added on the fly to further bolster ad revenues.

TAG VIDEO SYSTEMS
T
Content Matching
AG’s Content Matching is a unique mechanism that detects similar content across two different streams to ensure correct and uninterrupted delivery to the intended destination. This is accomplished by creating a unique fingerprint for each video frame and audio envelope and matching them across the entire media distribution path against a user-defined reference point. Content Matching dramatically reduces workflow complexity and eyes-on-glass, delivering quality content with fewer resources and more confidence. Content Matching identifies and correlates audio and video uniqueness accurately regardless of resolution, bitrate or frame rate, enabling a match between two or more points in the workflow. Even after the content has been processed and manipulated, TAG can identify the match and confirm the content is identical, correct and behaves as expected.
The technology gets to the root cause of problems faster and troubleshoots more efficiently, even in complex, elaborate workflows. Based on a sophisticated real-time, frame-toframe correlation engine, users are notified when the first content mismatch occurs, and combined with TAG’s rich probing and monitoring, the source of the errors can easily be identified and issues resolved. The ability to identify, match and correlate content to content anywhere in the workflow empowers users to measure a wide variety of parameters. With a reference point and one or more monitoring points, comparisons are easily made and issues quickly identified. The technology adds another layer of monitoring, providing a resource for data collected and aggregated with IT open-source tools for deeper understanding of workflows and information to FOR improve them.
