interactive ipad editiOn in June 2012, Edge launched as a fully interactive ipad edition featuring interactive pages, fullscreen video and exclusive extra content. this interactive edition is fully optimised for the retina display of the new ipad to deliver razorsharp image quality, offering a hugely upgraded experience for consumers of Edge’s digitial editions and resulting in a stream of five-star reviews from its readership.

ipad app – sQuare eniX takeOver the coverwrap featured a fully interactive advertisment which appeared immediately before the front cover page of the interactive Edge ipad edition. the video culminated with a link to the trailer.
square enix also placed three advertisements throughout the ipad edition, each containing promo trailers and preorder hotspots.
in addition to this ipad activity, square enix also benefited from a one-week homepage takeover on Edge’s website, along with the first ever inside front cover douple-page spread in the magazine.
