WHO DOES WHAT FOR CHILDREN?

MY TOPIC: SAFETY!

DARRYL IS VERY SOCIAL!.

HIS IMPORTANT TOPIC: EVERY CHILD SAFE!.

He asked for attention for the amount of children in his school that aren’t safe. When he walks outside after school and looks around him and he sees all the people working behind their computers in the big office buildings, he thinks: guys, come outside and connect with one of my classmates, to give them a saver life…

…We met Darryl when he became Child Principle from the OBA and when he held a speech there. In this speech he talked about how kind the people from the OBA are and that is a place where safety can be guaranteed for all children..

I am Darryl, chief editor of the election special and the national newspaper, my topic is EDUCATION FOR EVERYONE AND SAFETY. I want every child to have a voice. I’m from the South-East of Amsterdam myself and I didn’t always have an easy time. The South-East of Amsterdam is in the news in a negative manner often, but I would like to show the positive side.

I’m always different than other children, I’m very focused on my future.

Darryl is a very social and sweet boy who, very well, knows what he wants and what he thinks is important. A real journalist who knows how to ask good and substantive questions.

THE INTERVIEW HERE!

On Wednesday the 16th of March 2022 will be the municipal elections, where 1.5 million children will be allowed to vote. Only the attendance is low, very low even though a lot of things the local council decides, impact the youth. It’s time for a program sequence in collaboration with the Jongerenkieswijzer (youth election guide).

In this edition we talk with alderman Marjolijn Moorman. How does she look back on her 4 years as alderman? What went well, what could be better and what are the plans for the future? What do youth organizations think about how she does her work? Come over and join the conversation.

Why do you think it’s important that children can join the conversation?

Jano was present at the first children’s press conference about the coronavirus and was able to ask a question to Mark Rutte and Hugo de Jonge. Jano hopes that there will be more children’s press conferences, because children should be able to be part of the conversation.
