St Columba’s Day Bilingual Pilgrimage At 2pm an Irish-speaking interchurch group will follow the old pilgrim route from Shipquay (Port na Long) up to St Augustine’s Church of Ireland and on to the Long Tower Church which is on or near the site of the Teampall Mór, the principal church in Derry in the 12th century.

Meeting place: The Guild Hall at 2.00pm., Saturday, 9 June, 2012 This initiative is being organized by Slí Cholmcille (Contact Maolcholaim Scott on 028 90 890 983). Other participants at the event include Fr Alan McGuckian SJ, the Rev Bill Boyd, and representatives from An Tor ar Lasadh, an Irish language Presbyterian group from Belfast and Cumann Gaelach na hEaglaise(Church of Ireland).
