Health Camp Conducted by Navajeevana Sanghatane

One or the other problem crops up and medical attention is necessary and more frequently nowadays, which is an annoying factor. And, this attention is given at what cost? A whopping one at that! Few of those who can afford get the medical help by spending, but what is the fate of those who cannot afford, despite having government hospitals? Organisations like Navajeevana Sanghatane fulfill this by conducting free health camps and medical checks to those who can avail of this free of cost. It is not only for the below poverty line people, but the middle class also avail of this facility. On August 6, Sunday, the Sanghatane, in association with Narayana Nethralaya, Bommasandra and Oxford

Medical College and Hospital, organized a health camp free of cost for Eye check up, common general ailments checked by Physicians including Blood Pressure and ECG, Skin related problems, Pediatric treatment, ENT examination, Dental

check up and distribution of free medicines to the needy. The health camp was held at Newton Public English School, 1st Cross, Mangammanapalya, Bommanahalli main road. Doctors from both the hospitals took part and gave the necessary reports,

recommendations and prescriptions. The camp was held between 7am and 2 pm. Around 800 people attended the camp, of which 150 patients were given spectacles free of cost. On the same day, Narayana Nethralaya offered free eye surgery to as many as 12 patients at their Bommasandra Hospital, providing free vehicle services, food and stay for the patients. On the occasion, some also volunteered to be eye donors. This activity was made possible by Devaraj Nayak, Narayana Nethralaya and Venu P Reddy, Oxford Medical College and Hospital.
